Hi Jackie, I'm enjoying your vlogs as they are so honest, down to earth and a great learning experience You persevered and made some unique, energetic paintings that are stunning. Love your fearlessness and experimentation. Another go-getter, who doesn't give up halfway through.....even though it can be tempting. Love ❤ listening to your voice as you journey through....and we come for the ride. Sending you much joy and peace and laughter. Jo😊
Oh wow, this is an inspiration. My work is sooo tight and what you did here excites something inside and scares another part! I want to try playing this way 🎉
Jackie, I love the way yr little paintings turned into flowers! I so enjoy hearing your thoughts as you paint….kind of a stream of consciousness…. And you are way funny! 😂👏🏻
I always love opening the same video in another window and then comparing the end result to the other iterations of it. It's so fascinating.... Thanks as always for sharing your process and thoughts along the way. You're the best!!
What a ride! Dang, this was a fun one, going to have to give this a go. Thank you for not giving up (like I do so many times!) because the finished paintings are lovely. Wishing you and your family Happy Holidays! 🎄
Love your persistence and it shows how each of us start projects, we go to far with one thing or another yet you show how working through it can pay off. This is real to me, I have pieces with many layers due to things not going as planned.
The best part of this video for me is your persistence past the parts you didn’t like! I confess, your obsession with the fluorescent red and celadon green never disappoints! And your realness with the kids being kids while you paint speaks volumes about fitting art into an already full life, sans excuses. Love the results!
Loved watching and watching you work through the things you didn’t like! It’s just so fun!!!! Really - we can change anything - can’t we? That’s the fun of painting - solving those problems and answering the questions as you go!! Happy holidays!!!
Thanks, Jackie. People get so caught up in the idea that they don't want to waste money, time, and effort. Good example of how that just gets in the way sometimes. I keep seeing a fish in the painting on the left. I wonder if that means, if these had been my paintings, I would have continued on. Nancy in Nevada
At minute 24-ish I really liked the more free forms, larger petals, less planned look of the flowers. The celedon and white together and the petals touching were more artsy to me. Please don't be mad! I think stopping sooner can be good. Not over-doing. Also leaves more time to relax. I do love your art!
Oh yes, there were several time I could have stopped to have different results 🤗 Once I changed things drastically to move away from those moments, however, I was committed to moving forward 😅
Hey Jackiev❤ Merry Christmas 😊 I love what you have presented. So raw and down to earth! I super appreciate your talent and inspirational commentary 👏🏼 A huge thank you ❤ The peices are Beautiful!
Thank you so much Jackie, I really really enjoyed watching you create these three 8x8” canvases. It was a great experience and surprise how they turned out, and I really really love ❤❤❤❤❤ them all. Amazing too. Happy Christmas and Happy New Year Too
You’re the best!! Love them Gwen Fox - here on TH-cam just did a video on gratitude As an artist And has us make a list of what we are grateful for I had to put you on the list of course Ty for your teachings encouragement to just go for it and showing us a lot of new things to grow as an artist Happy holidays!
I’m in the middle of your video before you covered the Paynes Grey with Fluorescent red. I liked them a lot at this point. I admire your courage to experiment. ❤
I found mine at Blick! These are student panels and came in a pack of several. I provided a link to these exact ones in another comment on this video if you’d like to have the identical panels ☺️
@ Thank you!! Side note, I signed up for the free grid guide and I got an email asking me to confirm my account but it still hasn’t sent the guide. I’ve done this a couple times - do you know what I’m doing wrong? I’d love to have that guide. :)
Oh no! Can you please do me a favor and send me an email (Jackie at jackieschomburg dot com) including the link to the web page you used to sign up? That form must be broken. I will fix it and send you the guide! ❤️

These went on a surprising journey. I love how they turned out and that you kept going past the messy middle stage!
Thanks Janet! The messy middle stage is always a lesson in perseverance - you never know where it will lead 😅 Merry Christmas! ❤️❤️❤️
Very interesting!

Oh wow…what a journey!!! I got heart palpitations with each changes! That was was highly interesting 😮Thanks for sharing❤
Haha! Sorry about that the heart palpitations! So glad you came along for the ride! ❤️❤️❤️
Loved the final three, but enjoyed the educational journey even more.
Me too! So happy to share the journey with you! ❤️
Verrrrrrry fun!! Looooooooove final project and I was so uncertain allll the way through wondering why you were covering cool chaos. Love ya!
I'm so glad you loved the final result! 🌈 Happy holidays!
Love this creative journey, Jackie!!!!! Really looking forward to all your inspirations in the coming New Year 😁🎨🎉🍾
Thank you! Cheers to 2025! ❤️❤️❤️
@jackieschomburgart 💯 🥂
So many iterations. I don't know how many times I thought I would have stopped there.
Haha! SAME. 😅

This makes me so happy to hear! I’m so glad you relate to the real-life challenges! ❤️❤️❤️
Holy moly I was totally invested in this video! Looks amazing-
Thanks for watching! I’m glad you liked it 😊
Yaaaayyyy!! Whew!! This was def a nail-biter for me😅. But it came out lovely in the end. It taught me not to give up when things are going awry. 👏 👏
So glad you stuck with it! It’s always fun to see how things turn out when things go a little wrong. 😅😆🤣🌈❤️
Just love watching you work! Happy holidays to you and your family, and thankyou for for all the inspiration this year ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed it - Happy Holidays! ❤️
❤ Thank you for this rich experience.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
I am encouraged by watching you create. So much so I just did my first voice over video on TH-cam! Thank You!
Way to be brave and go for it!! *high five* The first couple are the hardest - it gets easier from here ❤️❤️❤️
Loved watching and watching you work through the things you didn’t like! It’s just so fun!!!! Really - we can change anything - can’t we? That’s the fun of painting - solving those problems and answering the questions as you go!! Happy holidays!!!
Thanks Rosemary! Wishing you all the best in 2025! ❤
I love these! I love that you kept going! I also regretted some of the moves you made -- ha! -- but you stayed with it until it was beautiful!
Ha, that’s what makes it art! I always learn something new about my own work when I’m in the trenches (and especially when I have regrets 😅). ❤️
I love your creative thinking 😊
Thanks so much! ❤️
Thanks for the inspo this last year, Jackie.
You are so welcome! Wishing you all the best in 2025! ❤️
So enjoyed this. Thanks
So glad!
Very very helpful to see your process and hear your thinking about it. Thank you much!
You are very welcome! I'm glad it was helpful! ❤️
I get to the messy middle stage and I don’t know how to make it better. Your addition of the black and cream brought it all together.
It’s amazing what a bit of black and white can do! ❤️

The best part was when you put the white on the petals. The added contrast moved it all forward! 👏🏼👏🏼
❤️❤️❤️
Hey Jackiev❤ Merry Christmas 😊 I love what you have presented. So raw and down to earth! I super appreciate your talent and inspirational commentary 👏🏼 A huge thank you ❤ The peices are Beautiful!
Merry Christmas to you too, Elle! And thank you so much! ❤️
Cool technique!
Thanks! ❤️
Thank you so much Jackie, I really really enjoyed watching you create these three 8x8” canvases. It was a great experience and surprise how they turned out, and I really really love ❤❤❤❤❤ them all. Amazing too. Happy Christmas and Happy New Year Too
Thank you so much! Merry Christmas! ❤️🎄🎁

Those came out really sharp.
Thank you! ❤️

Always! ❤️❤️❤️
Love this technique
❤️❤️❤️
You seem to always know how to have fun! Love these!
Might as well make it as fun as possible, right? ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for your inspiration!
❤️❤️❤️
Thanks!
Aww, thanks so much, Kelly!! 😘
I see a fish in the center of the middle flower. I love your comments and how relaxed and nonjudgemental you are. Thank you.
Thank you so much - Merry Christmas! ❤️
So interesting and freeing to do!
❤️❤️❤️
That was fun! And stressful :)
It's so much fun when things go a bit wrong! 😅
Loved watching your art journey - definitely the messy middle but the end result is fabulous. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️❤️❤️
That’s quite the journey on that painting. 😀
You can say that again! 😂
Awesome. Thank you
You're welcome! Thanks for watching! ❤️
They look super cute and I think the centres look like little animal faces peeping through...adorable!
Omg, you’re so right! Now I can’t unsee those little faces! 😂
@@jackieschomburgart ☺🤩
Wow that was a journey! Thanks for taking us along 👏🫶🤩
Hahaha! Oh yes, an epic tale of painting over and re-painting 😅😆🤣
You’re the best!!
Love them
Gwen Fox - here on TH-cam just did a video on gratitude

Oh that is just the sweetest thing ever - I’m honored to be on your list ❤️❤️❤️ Happy holidays and wishing you all the best in 2025! ❤️
Thanks 🙏
Aw, thank YOU, Martina! So grateful for your support! 🥰✨
Call me crazy but I’m seeing funny little faces in the left and middle one and a lady reclining on the right side. I love these!
Haha! I love it! Thank you ❤️
Came here after hearing of you from Marte Hepburn's YT video! Glad to have found you!
Welcome! I’m so glad to have you watching ❤️❤️❤️
I’m in the middle of your video before you covered the Paynes
Grey with Fluorescent red. I liked them a lot at this point. I admire your courage to experiment. ❤
❤️❤️❤️
Super, c'est très intéressant, Josslyn France.
Thank you!! ❤️
Nice ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So glad you liked it! ❤️
I’m still in the course of watching this video, but wanted to say that I like that the center of one of the flowers wasn’t so round.
Thanks! I hope you like it at the end too! ❤️
These turned out great. Although I really liked them already at the 12 minute mark. I feel inspired although I hate to copy.
Thanks so much! ❤️❤️❤️
They turned out great. The pottery tool is called a needle tool. 😊❤
Thank you! And thanks for telling me the name of the tool - it seems quite obvious now 😂
Hi Jackie, excited to try this. May I ask where you found your panels? Looking for some this size and not wanting to spend too much. Thank you!

Hi again, that looks like your web site. Is there another email address you’d like me to use?
When I'm in doubt, I always add black! 90% of the time it leads me forward.
A good (and bold!) rule of thumb ❤️
Hi 🤗, one question: do you use Babywipes with oil or just with water? Really beautiful 😍
Mine are water-based :) Thank you!
Where to get the substrates you used?
I got these at Blick: www.dickblick.com/items/blick-project-panel-class-pack-8-x-8-x-38-pkg-of-12/
@ just discovered that in another video you have. 😀
It's always hard to know when to stop.
❤️❤️❤️
Not your best, but you pulled it off to be pretty.
Haha - thanks
@@jackieschomburgart I have to keep you on your toes. Happy Holiday to you and your family
