You know, back then there was no such thing as autotune. This was really her voice, her perfect pitch, her extraordinary phrasing...effortless... They could mechanically increase the clarity and sweetness of tone, but not much more. She sings like it's no big deal and she sounds like perfection.... I sing opera, but I can't sing like Patsy...
ALONG WITH JO STAFFORD, PATSY DID THIS SONG THE VERY BEST. HAVING THE JORDANAIRES, HELPED. WHAT A VOICE SHE HAD ! 1961. ----------------------MJL, 75 Y/O
Phillipboehm2641 yes Patsy is in the league as Bobby Hatfield of the righteous brothers. Bobby had a god given voice, after all these years, bet that he is leading the choir, dear Patsy and many artists are joining in.
This was my late mother as she was doing the housework whilst singing Patsy Cline tunes lol. Then recently i was whisling this tune in work ( i had no idea what i was whistling, until confronted by a coworker who first threw me by mentioning some other older artists name, then after looking up I found Patsy Cline had covered it. Mum.....😂 God and your mother both work in mysterious ways..
Enoshima I have not head jo Stafford version of this song for a while. I will have to look into that. Patsy had such a beautiful voice, she was very blessed. Perhaps the youngins do now who jo or patsy, but I have been blessed to know who those artists are/were.
Man, what an incredible voice Patsy Cline had!! Love the ending but wished she would have blown it out of the ballpark! YOU BELONG TOOOO, MEEE!! ALTERNATIVE ENDING.. LOL. AMAZING!
Patsy had those one in a million voices you could just recognize. That’s when you know you made your mark as a singer/songwriter, when someone recognizes you either by your voice, or your playing style. For Patsy, she was recognized by both. It wasn’t just her singing voice that made her recognizable, but the way she sang it with that perfect honky tonk melody carrying it along.
There are not many singers that can touch Patsy Cline . With the exception of a very few female singers now , she is in a class all by herself . And don’t tell me that Taylor Swift can sing this way , because she can’t and never will , and not with autotune !!! No chance !!
Brian I cannot thing of any singers in this era, that could touch any of the songs that patsy recorded, without the autotune feature. In the time she was recording (s), no autotune. It was a one take, or do over. Patsy is dearly missed, the time passes so very quickly.
See the pyramids along the Nile Watch the sun rise on a tropic isle Just remember, darling, all the while You belong to me See the marketplace in old Algiers Send me photographs and souvenirs Just remember when a dream appears You belong to me I'll be so alone without you Maybe you'll be lonesome too, and blue Fly the ocean in a silver plane See the jungle when it's wet with rain Just remember till you're home again You belong to me I'll be so alone without you Maybe you'll be lonesome too, and blue Fly the ocean in a silver plane Watch the jungle when it's wet with rain But remember darling, till you're home again You belong to me
No one can logically unde Rstand the concept of "angel." How does anyone know what they sound like. Funny! But there is no denying that the voice of lovely Patsey Cline is magical, mesmerizing: perfect !!!❤
@@jamessomers8495 I’m doing okay,Anyways I’m also a big fan of Patsy cline for years as well but I just got on here some weeks ago and I wouldn’t mind if we could get to know each other more better
I love Patsy Cline the world lost one of the best country music female singer ever. She sings from the heart. What a shame her life was taken too young back in 1963 at the age of 30 her music today is timeless simple tunes sung at there very best sounds just good today as when it was recorded. RIP Patsy at least your voice will be heard forever more
It was my great-grandfather who got me into Patsy Cline as a young kid growing up I even saw the movie sweet dreams and that was a good movie but Patsy Cline is an amazing artist it's a shame about her tragic death she had such an amazing voice I remember going through the hallways in school and everybody would hear me singing her music

No one to touch her ....the modern singers don't compare in any form ...classic ......❤

Beatiful melody used in china móvie only clouds shout as musical background
I love the way she never has a boring direct approach but goes around the melody and creates a beautiful landscape of sound...
You described that all perfectly!!
@@deenababieI agree totally with that
For real... just.. purer times
Never tire listening to her golden voice. Puts modern singers to shame.
Perfect pitch Patsy how we miss you ❤
Hands down, the greatest female vocalist ever!
Hello kenneth
Yes! Though I say she's the best vocalist ever, we're mostly in agreement. I always love to listen to Ms. Cline sing. /:-)
she did have compt....Doris Day, & a few other 40's& 50' s "girls" they KNEW HOW TO SING not SCREAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely
Perhaps for country music. Could not compete though with Maria Callas for opera. Ella Fitzgerald for Jazz, Edith Piaf for torch songs etc.
How I love Patsy Cline.
Simply Sublime.
PATSY, YOU WERE TAKEN AWAY FROM US WAY TOO SOON!
One of the best singers EVER!! No one can beat Ms.Patsy Cline

Hello David
You mean greatest singer ever, don't you? /:-)
She was more than a country singer though this song and many others were outside of the country genre.
It's VERY hard for me to choose whether I prefer Patsy Cline's version or the 1952 version by Jo Stafford. Both of them are amazing!
Aren't they just... both are brilliant.
Enoshima I have not head jo Stafford version of this song for a while. I will have to look into that. Patsy had such a beautiful voice, she was very blessed. Perhaps the youngins do now who jo or patsy, but I have been blessed to know who those artists are/were.
