This is a guy who like other heroes has chosen to hold the weight of the world on his shoulders. For it he's suffered trauma time and time again yet he perseveres, and keeps being Spiderman. However, this game showed his breaking point. When his strength failed him, and Kraven killed him. When he's overwhelmed with guilt over May's death. When his life as Peter Parker suffers, and he loses his teaching job. Worst yet is when his will was finally weakened, and the symbiote took hold. "Destroy us." That line on its own is scary because it shows that he's tired of losing people, and he's willing to so anything to keep them safe.
The fact that Yuri literally sounds and acts like someone who is addicted is just insane. I love this version of venom but I wish it could have taken two games to play out cause it’s so freaking good.
That head turn from Connors was hilarious, and I'm pretty sure anyone in that situation would've done the same exact thing. Just that moment of "Oh no. I think it's too late and Spidey might be far gone."

So I’ve been thinking. After watching spectacular Spider-Man’s version. Maybe the suit doesn’t actually make him faster, stronger better in the way that he thinks. I always thought since it was an alien it was amplifying his powers, but I think what’s really going on is he’s just not holding back anymore so he’s physically better in the black suit. Then when the symbiote turns into Venom eventually, since it has all of Spider-Man’s powers it uses them at 100% not holding back, which is why Venom may seem stronger. I could be wrong depending on the version of the symbiote it is, maybe this one does amplify his powers or maybe I’m just straight up wrong about my whole assumption.
I like this theory, and I think it‘s definitely true to an extent. He certainly stops holding back more, but I think of the symbiote like a performance enhancing drug. It affects Peter both physically and mentally, so much so that he NEEDS to keep using it or he’ll feel like a failure. In reality, he definitely doesn’t need it, especially if it’s going to destroy his whole life.
Its probably a bit of both imo. The symbiote originally amplified his abilities on its own with no mental effects, but in more recent versions where it has an influence I definitely see it loosening peter’s standards of “holding back”

The lore in pretty much everything concerning the symbiotes is both. It’s like it’s pushing Peter to hit the throttle, while at the same time dumping a whole lot of nos into the tank. It’s part of why Peter is its ideal host. A heroic heart with a naturally strong body is everything that it wants in a partner. The problems started because Peter also has a lot of repressed feelings due to how often God shits on his breakfast… lunch and every other meal as well. The Venom symbiote was an infant, in a way, so it didn’t know how to help make Peter stop hurting other than to vent those frustrations out on the world. This is how it usually goes with Venom’s origin story. It’s just that the fact that the symbiote half of Venom is usually not outright stated to be Peter’s yandere ex, but the symbiote will always jump at the chance to bond with Peter again.
Dude the subtle dialogue as things escalated was god tier writing. After hanging up on the phone with MJ, the way he just casually says "In the meantime, let's see who we can help out here" like he's talking normally and is completely unaware of the changes People who don't know: "Did he say 'we'?" People who know: "DID HE SAY 'WE'??????"
Ngl this suit was so powerful that it had me agreeing with Peter up until he told Harry to pop some more pills and tell him how he’s really feeling that’s when I snapped out of it but not Peter😭

This shouldve been in the game. The prowler theme is so terrifying and it fits perfectly. Imagine during the ending part, the music would get all epic and as soon dr connors falls. The music just fades away. Ooh! So cool.

Peter with the symbiote was absolutely crazy. Harry still wanted to be saved but venom was taking him otherwise. Peter embraced the symbiote and when (spoiler ahead) fought miles like DAMN he is absolutely fucking crazy Peter did not hold back
When I heard Connors talking I was expecting Pete to be like “Destroy the suit? What about harry!” but when I Heard “Destroy Us?” I lost my shit, the line was perfect and caught me so off guard. Yuri Cooked.
they really needed peter to have the symbiote much longer and have his downward spiral more gradual. it felt like peter just turned evil over night and when it was finally getting interesting, peter just ripped the symbiote off him. would've been way more impactful if he had the symbiote in act 1 all the way to act 3
They kind of wrote themselves into a corner with Harry’s disease. Peter couldn’t have the symbiote for too long without Harry dying. Ideally, he would have the symbiote for a few months, and the change would be more gradual. The more I think about the game now, the more Harry Venom seemed like a bad idea.

Dude it’s so much better with the prowler theme playing
they really needed peter to have the symbiote much longer and have his downward spiral more gradual. it felt like peter just turned evil over night and when it was finally getting interesting, peter just ripped the symbiote off him. would've been way more impactful if he had the symbiote in act 1 all the way to act 3
They kind of wrote themselves into a corner with Harry’s disease. Peter couldn’t have the symbiote for too long without Harry dying. Ideally, he would have the symbiote for a few months, and the change would be more gradual. The more I think about the game now, the more Harry Venom seemed like a bad idea.
@@Mugenko they still could have done it just have harry get the symbiote back in the last 2 hours of the game, i wouldve preferred it if peter got symbiote near the start of the game rather then half way through
@@kinghashbrown7998 The problem with that is 2 hours is nowhere near enough time for Venom, but you also have to set up the introduction of the black suit properly. Insomniac had to end up cutting so much stuff from this game. A delay would have done wonders for the back half of the story.
