Seeing the villains from the first game (those who weren't killed by kraven) pursue normal careers was really wholesome like tombstone becoming a mechanic
Killing off the Sinister Six majorly offscreen was a bad decision imo. They had a lot of potential, especially with the whole "villains redeemed" part of the game. And they're setting up a third game too, so them dying really puts a wrench into that.

I like how Miles admits he doesn't have it in him to forgive Martin Li, but he still lets go of the hate he has for him.
Yeah, forgiveness is different from whether you like or dislike someone. You can like someone but still not forget the thinks they did prior.

The whole part of going in peters mind is just heartbreaking. All the pain he carry’s for each villain he’s fought and especially for May. No wonder the symbiote bonded with him so quickly
Remember,Klyntar are a mostly pacifistic race with a couple rogue's being blood thirsty,Venom was essentially Gas Lit once he bonded with Peter,He only got worse after Harry gave up once his condition worsened and he listened to his father talk to Peter alone.Venom is the victim here.

Man I love electrokinesis. Miles and Cole McGrath from Infamous are some of my favorite examples of such an underrated power in my opinion in major media
I highly recommend the Static Shock tv series of you want to see perhaps the best displays of electromagnetism in modern media.
You know, it's funny you mention that. Because this game is basically the Prototype X inFAMOUS crossover game we always wanted, but never got. Think about it. One Superhero protagonist has the power to control Bio-Electricity, and one has the power of Shapeshifting Biomass.

Both Miles and Cole have two different colour variants of their powers, orange and blue, that change based on their mental state, both can use their Bio-electricity to propel themselves upwards, both can drain electricity from machinery to add to their own power and both can use their to heal/resuscitate people.
Peter and Alex both start off as scientists before becoming superhuman, their powers let them shapeshift to a degree, using tendrils to fight from a distance or control their enemies and environment, when covered with this biomass it shapes itself like biological armour, prolonged use of this power causes them to steadily lose their humanity, and both directly/indirectly cause the same biomass substance to infect the entire city, of which the infection affects them uniquely and to everyone else it acts as a virus that turns them into mindless monsters. Oh and he and the antagonist, who acts as the infected's master, have a unique relationship.
Yeah this game is essentially the spiritual successor to both series if you think about it.

Yeah. It just shows how losing her was so hard for him, probably even harder than losing Ben was since he could have saved May but it would have killed so many others in the process, so he made the hard choice, like how he chose to NOT stop the robber who would go to kill Ben and how it affected him.
Martin's appearance proves how he did some kind of enlightenment after the 2 PS spiderman games.

I believe that Peter in the ending managed to cure Harry when he destroyed the Venom symbiote. the Anti Venom can produce antibodies that cure any ilness whatsover(can even "cure" Spider-Man of his powers), despite being a coma, i believe that Harry will probably wake up in the next game completely cured of his mother's ilness and be healthy. In Spider-Man 3, Peter will be studying the symbiote in him on how can he share this healing capabilites with other people.
Perhaps Harry could return as Agent Anti Venom?
But he might not be able to cure him, because isn't the suit apart of him now? Dr.conners said that a part of the symbiote bonded to him permanently from wearing it too long, so he may not be able to transfer it
@@anferno804 Most likely, Harry being healthy will probably want to help the city, and the Anti Venom is gonna be perfect for him as this symbiote doesn't have a mind and can't control or influence it's host. Btw The Anti Venom can reproduce too, but the original will always be with Peter, so i don't think we are gonna lose this abilities, i just hope we reserve the suit for only the rage modes 😂

@crowwithinternetservice well, Flash isn't in this game series, and a take on Agent Anti-Venom could be interesting. Plus it means Peter can be reset in terms of scaling (Symbiotes just make him insanely powerful. He's already 12x stronger than his body should allow due to his base powers, and Symbiotes increase your power exponentially
Miles being beaten down by the sinister six like how Peter was beaten down shows us that miles has truly evolved as Spider Man and has completely reached peters level and he’s understood his responsibilities and how hard it is to be spiderman and how he fights back shows us that he’s ready to be the next spiderman

That's the problem with the concept of "Miles replacing Peter", With the trilogy's timeline Miles is spiderman for barely a year while peter has been spiderman for a long time; Like don't tell me there can't be any advantage to be experienced, They rushed and overstacked Miles if you ask me like miles should be struggling atleast in his first year of being spiderman instead of adapting so fast; Peter was nerfed in this game(An example in this video where you see the symbiote creatures are charging towards them and peter tells Miles to jump but dumbass himself keeps shooting webs instead of dodging and jumping xd) even with the Symbiote powers like in this he was getting beat left and right while HE fought sinister six in the first game while there was a riot in the city and ALSO it was he who defeated demons(with a bit of help from mj) who are much more dangerous criminals than Kraven's hunters.
The thing about replacing peter is, Ultimate Spiderman comic done that and it failed; You can't just replace the OG that easily also miles being stronger than peter doesn't help it either, Like at this point it's like you are throwing Peter into the trashcan and buying a new spiderman called Miles morales.
The thing that declines what peter says: "Why would the city need me when it has you" is the whole concept of "With great power comes great responsibility, It doesn't matter how many heroes are there if you have the power to help ppl, you should do it that's why Spiderman is a hero that never gives up with all odds.

I love how they referenced the “Be Greater” trailer. This game is so good. I wish it was longer. That’s not a complaint either. I wish it was longer. At least the length of Ghost of Tsushima.

It was actually supposed to be a bit longer but sadly Sony rushed them. Like, for example, in the final act of the game, we were supposed to save the daily bugle from the aliens. That was part of the original story board. Still I love what we have. The story is great 😎👍🏼
For everyone debating on if Peter should get to keep the Anti-Venom suit. I see no reason as to why he shouldn't get to keep the powers. Venom based things are an Iconic Peter thing for one.
But also come Spider-Man 3 we'll have Silk as well, and all three will need to feel somewhat different.
Miles - Is supposed to be a bit weaker and with a not so strong spidersense, that is made up for in spades with his Electricity and Invisibility, which this game has done a great job on emphasizing.
But the game doesn't seem to emphasize peter's enhanced Spidersense or physical strength. It uses his technology instead.
As for Silk, she shoots webs in a very strange way out of her fingers. So I'm not 100% sure on how they'll make her powers work. Maybe they might have similar animations to the Symbiote tendrils with her webs?
But basically, without the Symbiote, how are they going to maintain the differences between the three?
Also anti-venom has no downsides, I don't see why Peter shouldn't keep it

If you played the game, you would know that Anti Venom was born from the traces of the symbiote which remained in Peter even after he ripped it off.
Li’s powers not only purged the negative influence of the symbiote, but gave the small traces shape.
Anti Venom is apart of Peter, now.

This is how you write character development for a villain who basically did a bunch of evil. Li knows that he’ll have to live with his mistakes for the rest of his life and it’s not done in a cheesy way like persona 5’s akechi…. When miles said he couldn’t carry all this hate for him anymore and he extends his hand, li almost let a small sigh of relief that he can make things right again and help someone.
This game is RIDICULOUS, like holy cow, I didn’t think it was possible to make such a good game
Both of these games did something phenomenal with Mr. Negative. I'm not a huge comic reader, so he was a guy I'd heard a little about but never really loved. _Marvel's Spider-Man_ made him one of my favorite characters.
I think he saw his reflection in Miles as much as he saw Peter's. Mr. Negative was made because Martin Li was angry at Norman Osborn for botching his treatment and being indirectly responsible for his parents' deaths, then covering it up to save his reputation. He made FEAST and tried to put it behind him, but couldn't. His rage and desire for revenge eventually overtook him.
Mr. Negative killed Jefferson Davis but Miles was able to let that go. Not forgive him, but stop his anger from ruining his future and destroying all the good in him. He got to a place Martin was never able to with Norman.

I think that Martin Li is a good person deep down. Regardless of what he did, Martin genuinely cared about May and her dying because of his actions caused him to do a lot of self reflection.
Otto Octavius only lives to see Norman Osborn suffer at this point. I think that's great to see how much the two big bads of the first game, once united by a common hatred, have become so very different.
Norman Osborn has been buoy up to be the ultimate villain in this series. It’s all leading up to him

God they made such a perfect game. Pretty much every single character in this game had almost their own side story going on and so much development. Bravo
I wouldnt call It perfect, the games feels rushed in a lot of parts and Peter got nerfed, he couldnt even defeat Venom with a ANTI-VENOM suit, Miles feels forced in a lot of parts where should be Peter

4. Game tries to give some stupid political message, that nobody gives a shit, for no reason whatsoever - or probably to please Twitter-horde, but they won't play the game, we will, they are just people who want to rant and bitch at everything. Making it togglable would please everyone, but nuh-uh.
5. Nobody wanted MJ sections yet game forces you again, while they could simply have them togglable and up-to player, but nah, screw players am I right?
So it isn't perfect, it's good, decent but far from perfect.

Peter is so nerfed in this game and the final boss fight feels like its completely backwards. I dont really understand why miles is the one to finish off the Harry boss fight. Seems like they just really wanted to push him to the forefront rather than allow the story to progress like how it naturally would have

I like how 3:25 was like a recreation of spiderman 1’s trailer where Pete was getting slammed through things by the sinister six just like miles is again here
Exactly it all just shows how Spider-Man has been getting beat down over and over but this time he doesn’t have aunt may to help bring him back up and that’s heartbreaking for Peter and he needs to truly grieve so he can move on. While it also just gives miles a taste of what it’s like to be putting these guys away and they’ll keep coming back so he has to keep going something about with great power comes great responsibility:)
I feel like "the root of Peter's pain" would be that he effectively got Uncle Ben killed. Like all the other stuff is traumatic, sure, but he legitimately could have stopped the man who went on to kill his Father figure and chose not to out of pettiness and spite.
May getting killed and the events that lead up to it in the games are partially on him, not fully. same goes for all the criminals breaking out and causing havok; he can't catch them all before they do harm to the public and he certainly can't watch over every single cell to make sire they don't escape or that they learn their lesson and change. That's what the guards at the Block (and to a greater extent, the US government) are for.
Sure he blames himself and takes the responsibility for them because that's how he was raised, but he cant be blamed for all the destruction caused in the city. He is, however, legitimately 100% to blame for Uncle Ben's untimely death. I'm surprised the "root" of his pain isn't just him having to live with that fact for the rest of his life.
The way the first game set it up sorta implied Peter's made his peace with his part in Uncle Ben's death. Aunt May's is a fresh wound for him, for two reasons...
1) She'd known he was Spiderman for quite some time as the first game's ending implied when she told him to take off the mask so she could see her nephew.
2) He almost used the antidote to save her at the cost of who knows how many other lives. If nothing else, to him this is an absolute betrayal of Uncle Ben.
So this'd make perfect sense as the root of the Symbiote's hold on him
@@Shadowzero347 I don't think that second part makes sense. Uncle would totally have accepted Peter saving the city over May. That's his character; he's peter's anchor to responsibility. It's why peter is constantly making decisions that don't benefit him but work towards a greater good. For example, Peter could have made money on him powers to get himself financially ahead. He tried that when he went into wrestling, and it ended in Uncle Ben's death. The lesson is that by only seeking personal gain, he'll cause those around him suffer.
May however has been peter's anchor to compassion. She helps peter come back to a place of calm when he's burdened by all the weight of the responsibility, like when he's frustrated about the criminals, knowing he's actually stronger than he gives away, but ultimately chooses not to go overboard. I don't think May's death would impact him any less than Uncle Ben because they're both responsible for grounding him in two halves, but I think it's odd not that he's conflicted about saving her, but that he would consider it his greatest pain. at the very least, both May and Ben should have been in that mind trip (maybe in order so the progression of Peter's pain can be seen.)
I feel like the real reason it's may is this recent push to make May Peter's main driving force and to push Uncle Ben out of the picture. The recent movies for Spider-Man don't even have Ben in the story at all, having either May or others (such as Tony Stark) fill his role. The games simply mention him, and to an extent his death, in a sort of passing manner; as if he were no more relevant to Peter's character than any of his rogues gallery. I don't think there's an issue with changing up the story, but I don't see this change as natural; it just seems like they're getting rid of his father figure and putting all the weight of his character on his mother figure. Again, this is weird because,
Uncle Ben's death is not some throw away scene, it's literally the defining moment of Spider-Man's origin; he selfishly let a criminal get away and it bit him in the butt as hard as metaphorically possible. That's guilt beyond guilt; you can't convince me the guy just "moves on" from that. Being forced to choice between his "mom's" life or the rest of the city is a hard choice, sure, but that's not something he personally had any control over; he didn't directly cause the events that lead to that. It's just hard to believe THAT would be at the very top of the list of "events that darkened my soul" for Peter Parker. Sorry for the wall of text.

He'll always have to live with that, but that's also enough time to make peace with his part in it. Aunt May dying is a fresh wound for him, doubly so because he had to stop himself from using the antidote to save her. In essence Aunt May dying here ties back to Uncle Ben, because he betrayed Uncle Ben in his mind with the fact he had to stop himself.
Also, I'm speaking in specific regards to this game series.
What I mean for how the Symbiote latched onto that is because in his mind he considers the fact that he almost used the antidote on Aunt May a betrayal of what Uncle Ben had taught him.
Least this is how I'm looking at it.

Anyone else get the feeling a 'Spider-Man 3' might be Peter passing the torch to Miles? Like they kept the Anti-Venom symbiote around, with the implications in another part of the game pointing to Carnage becoming a thing. Here's something we may've not considered; what if they force Peter to sacrifice the Anti-Venom symbiote to get rid of Carnage? Also, I think the reason they used Aunt May's death as the 'root' of the Symbiote's hold on him is not it being on him fully like Uncle Ben's death was...
Peter for sure has made peace being tied to Ben's death. Aunt May is a fresh wound for him, plus, he's likely having a hard time forgiving himself for the fact he only barely stopped himself from saving her at the cost of god knows how many other people. Especially with the implication she'd figured out he was Spiderman a good while back.

i like this dimension Peter Parker. he deserves the upgrade. good for him. hopefully he keeps it. it's a good look. :D

I don't care much if they have to nerf it as long as he still has it at the end of the day, it would be so cool just seeing him switch between using it and not using it within the story, not even because the plot requires him to use it but because it's actually just like a extra tool he brings out from time to time

So this is the reason,now it's clear why he could not let Venom truly go,that's why the small bits stayed in him,Peter blalme himself for May's death,he think that,if he could have stopped Otto before he unleashed the Devil Breath Crisis,May would still been alive,he thinks he should have tried harder to save her,but in the end,May made her choice,she told Peter to not waist the Anti Serum on her,she accepted her fate,but she would be going knowing that her Nephew was helping people,in this game,it's show deep down Peter blamimg himself for May's Death,but in reality,she ask him not to save her,she choose not to be save because she wanted Peter to continue his life by helping and saving people,even if she would not be there to see it,in the end,May Parker went to Heaven knowing that Peter would be okay,doing what he does,saving and helping lives in New York.

The man actually had a perfect solution for Harry(anti-venom)but he just couldn't see it.
Fun thing to note; under technically circumstance, the Symbiote could be seen as a negative energy source...
And since Mister Negative- as the name implies- is also a negative energy source, that'd mean it follows the same properties electricity (and math) has; Negative X Negative = Positive

This is one of the reasons why I love Spiderman comics, a big element of it is about redemption, a lot like how God sees past our flaws & wants to redeem us despite all we have done.

Hopefully in the NG+ update Peter would still be wearing his currently equipped costume instead of being suddenly replaced by the Advanced suit 2.0 before transforming into Anti-Venom Spider-Man. Just wanna point out that small detail.

I think it would be a cool touch if "Martin Li?" became a more natural color and Miles become a more negative color after Li brought him there. Price of transport and a cool temp effect. That being said I'm not versed on that pocket dimension or how it would work. 6:15 put miles in a more laying on his side position, would warrant the clasp more. 6:40 the wall peels then the portal forms; 11:25 Li gets his colors back, I think that's solid but when he walks away at 15:40 have a few frames that he blinks to his starting, negative color. Leaves things a bit open-ended. I like the movies but don't play the games and I think these would make it slightly more immersive, but what do you guys think?

I also imagine that Peter Parker, first met Miles Morales, when Peter was 36years old, and at that point of time Miles’s was age:16.
I imagine a few days after, (Miles Morales) met Peter Parker, he came into contact with a mysterious spider, got bitten by it, and later developed spider abilities.
To add I imagine at age:18, Miles Morales put on his own SpiderMan suit, and later was labeled as the second SpiderMan.
In addition I imagine by the time, Miles Morales had turned 20years old, he had mastered using his spider abilities, and his mysterious powers as well.
Plus to add I imagine Miles Morales’s can produce natural webbing from both of his wrists.

Imagine if instead of entering Peter’s mind Peter became Carnage similar to Ultimate Spider Man.
Let me explain, so in the game they acknowledge that Peter still has some Symbiotes inside him, just like in the Ultimate comics/game. In the game when Peter and Eddie got near each other Eddie would gain control over the Symbiote and Peter would get a massive headache/migraine as the remaining Symbiotic cells inside Peter want to join back with Venom. Later during the Carnage boss Peter was injected with some Venom Symbiote and the Symbiote mutated inside his blood creating Carnage.
Now imagine that here when the Begometh Symbiote shows up Peter’s head would begin to hurt and gets tackled by the other Symbiotes infecting him again, slowly mutating Peter into Carnage. Miles tries to help but gets hurt along the process until Li shows up and to help against Peter. After beating the boss Miles and Li have that forgiveness talk and Li sacrifices both his powers and life for Peter. Peter becomes human again and the Carnage Symbiote becomes the Anti Venom suit. After the Anti Venom gameplay Li dies as a redeemed hero.
What i dont like about this kraven is that he "hunts" his prey in an environment of his choice not his preys. He wants a worthy foe, but any worthy foe he had had a major disadvantage. The only reason he dies is because he fought venom in a random ass location. If it was his choice he would have fought venom in a room full of loud ass bells,
then would have deemed him not the one.
It would be epic, if on the final fight against Venom, Peter got full-powered anti-venom symbiote with everything, I mean classic beast-like anti-venom vith claws, phangs, orange glowing jaws with black teeth, red/orange glowing eyes, hulking Venom-like stature and thorned head and huge white tendril attacks oposite to Venom black mass - just as it was in comics. It deserved this and should be more satisfying for Peter going to direct combat with Venom at the end.
