A TH-camr named @C1OUS3R coded an amazing recreation of Hollow Knight's first three areas, all playable within Minecraft! It's very well made and looks excellent, so I decided to give it a shot. Here's my playthrough of the map!

The crazy part is that Clouser already made Doom in Minecraft
At this point, I'm wondering if you cam run Doom in Minecraft. As in using in game resources to build Doom, rather then building Doom using the engine.

Is it modded or straight up a map
Huh, in theory multiplayer might be _less_ janky in this than in regular Hollow Knight multiplayer mod, since Minecraft already has extensively-tested network code.
Would depend on how the command blocks/datapacks/what-have-you were handled but you right

Minecraft music is really interesting, when talking about it u would rather think of C418 but then there qre also the noteblocks that are really well known and represent Minecraft really well.

Clouser is AMAZING, they've made a bunch of games in Minecraft and they're all insanely well done. Seeing Hollow Knight be the newest one is such a treat, the new knight texture is so cute lol

0:52 Thats kind of how it works in Hollow Knight itself isn't it? The map is 3d, just with 2d assets and a forced 2d perspective. Foreground/background objects are actually closer and further away from the camera respectively

A few years ago when I played on our smp with friends, we dreamed about making crossroads and city of tears deep underground, now that caves become deeper. Never started the project, but I will remember that idea forever

Holy crap, this is so well made! I thought it was just going to be a Minecraft recreation of Hallownest, but having all the NPCs, enemies, and abilities is super impressive.
You have no idea how quickly my face went from 😄 to 😦, in a very good way. I was smiling, thinking that the fans are getting this before silksong, but then I saw the actual gameplay. I thought it's going to be another reskin mod, but it's more than that. The transition is just wild

It’s scary what modders can do when they have an exorbitant amount of free time
Mods arnt even necessary to run this, its mostly stuff like data packs and commands. But thwre are recomended mods to make the experience much smoother
