    Can’t justify the cost difference for Armor at $130.00 a gallon to Tec 582 at $40.00 a gallon I’ll stick with 582 for a drying aid Good video buddy

      If I wanted an insane drying aid griots 3 in 1 lasts a year and can be used as one. theres no point since tech 582 is probably going on top of a coating already. Even better is Gyeon Wetcoat because places you can't reach get a coating then I use the tech 582 for door jam and wheel drying.

    TEC582 is amazing because it applies so easily. I apply it every time I wash my car as a drying aid, after leaf blower drying most of the water off. Lasts maybe 2 weeks of wet weather in Florida, but since I apply it every wash it doesn't matter.
    I have yet to find a drying aid I prefer more

    All the tests of Tech 582 seem to overlook what happens once you build up a couple layers of product. After a few washes of applying it as a drying aid I've found it to be much more durable and hydrophobic. Once you get that layer stacked up its awesome!

    • @G0F15H
      @G0F15H ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @HawaiiDetailing You've said in the past that you don't like building up layers, but can you explain that a little bit? I wash every 5-7 days and alternate between Tec582 and Bead Maker and feel it has built up a REALLY nice layer. From a cost-equivalent standpoint you could wash your car every 10 days and apply Tec582 each time; I think that would provide superior results to using Armour about once a month.

    • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@G0F15H what I mean is that using really durable sealants too often is not needed. I like to apply a strong sealant and then I use a less durable products as a drying aid for my weekly wash. Applying 6 month sealants every wash would be excessive but some people ask if this is ok. I would re-apply the heavy sealant when there is evidence of it fading. Hope that helps. Yes you should use Adam's as a decon wash as well. It's frigging awesome and works extremely well. Just make sure to foam it on. I found it works better that way as it has a little better cling and dwell time just don't let it dry anywhere. You don't have to dilute it but you could just be weaker.

    Picked up a gallon of 582 today for $24+ tax. Been using it since it first came out. Great for a clay lube, and last. Let's face it though. We are all into keeping our vehicle looking great. So we are going to be cleaning them, and applying these products way more than the average person. I unfortunately have to drive my car in the VT winters, I always fluid film it, and keep a ton of protection on it. During those days you can actually spray it off I use 582 after. Really though...my car stays protected all winter. Because of all the wax, sealants, etc from the summer.

    Bro do you live on Maui? If so I hope you & your family we’re safe. My shop recently switched all our products to Technicians Choice products. They have pretty much every chemical you need for any detail.

    The great thing about technician's choice is it's cost-effective and it's not meant to be a stand-alone product or something at last for five washes. It's meant to go on every wash and come off eventually throughout the week

    No matter how great it is it’s $40 shipped to your home. It’s way too expensive they got to be in the $30 range shipped to home to be competitive. It’s water based for $42 you can get Adams advance spray coating that solvent based. Or $14 for 3D bead it up which is a gem. Come on Armor you can make a ton sales if you drop the price.
