DJ Scratch is the truth! I battled him in NJ back in the 80's in Somerset NJ. My brother Scottie "Shakil' Campbell rip, dated his cousin Samantha from Somerset and both of them bragging eventually got us battling at Franklin High School, then 3 rounds at a house party. There was a big battle later in the year when Cosmic Kev took 1st, Scratch 2nd(Remember..."The adventure of Super n.....", and our DJ Noogie Noog took 3rd at New Brunswick High School. I loss my focus and didn't place. Scratch was so real cat came to New Brunswick when my people put out a flyer about me battling Scratch again in New Brunswick, he came to find out who made the flyer, I walked him to his car for the brother was a real dude and came alone, he was cool when ever we battled or talked and it was my duty as the local DJ to make sure my brother in spin made it back safely and we talked a couple times on the phone and the cat called me out and told me to come battle him in Brooklyn...called me out! it was all good and respect back then. EASILY, One of the ILLEST DJ's In Hip Hop. PERIOD. Seen This Man Scratch TWICE. The First Time Was In 2015, At Central Park and Big Daddy Kane and Whodini Performed. The Second Time Was In My Hood In Crotona Park, Uptown In the Bronx At This Annual Event Called "Tools of War." The Second Time, I Actually Met Him And Took a Pic With Him. So Cool and Laid Back. He Can Play Around With a Run-DMC Record to Make "Mary Had a Little Lamb" And I Was BLOWN Away. Never Seen OR Heard No Shit Like That Before EVER. I'm 22 Years Old And Had the Absolute Pleasure of Seeing and Meeting Hip Hop Heavyweights and Legends and Scratch Is One of Them. Most Definitely the TRUE Definition of a DJ.
