😂 that's why I do not put BMPs or ATGM armed tanks in my missions, in any position, where they can shoot at you. They are inhumanly accurate while guiding the ATGM with a little stick at a precise 2*3m square, some 5 km in the distance, with no guidance computer other than eyeballs mark I through soda straw of a scope with 1.5 - 3.0 times magnification... and a brain to calculate lead in 3 dimensions on the fly. 😂 At least you can remove the ATGMs from the russian Tanks, since a while.
@@Adalla Yep, IRL they either are wire guided, or beam-rider if tube launched by a T-72 etc. Similar to the Vikhr the Ka-50 is using. The thing is, the gunner typically needs to keep a cross-hair on the target using a small joystick and an optical tube or in the modern IFV/tanks an IR scope. The kicker is, AI is pretty darn accurate at borderline max range (5 km for modern russian ATGM). I can accept good manual tracking against a small target like a helicopter at 2,000 to 2,500 m. Maybe average results at 3,500 up to 4,000 m, but manually tracking a small helicopter (often even moving) precisely at 4,500 to 5,000 m, nope! No way, maybe the odd one-in-a-million shot. You can try yourself with a HOT3 in the SA-342M Gazelle, against another helicopter... 😆
@@shagrat47 Forget the Gazelle. Im gonna jump into a Bradley and try it against a moving helicopter tonight!!!! Thanks for video idea. Stay tuned lol. Granted, i was not moving the bastard git me. The surprising part is though flares were being dropped the missile warning system did not give me any damn alerts. I swear to god i thought there was a plane flying overhead. I should have relized i made the mission and there was actually no planes. But i never heard what an ATGM flying towards you sounded like until yesterday.

Lol. So ATGMs are command-guided right? Have a wire connected to missile? Guy just aims it? Some do follow lasers like the atgms on the Ka-50?

Well... Ka-52s have been killed now multiple times with stugnas, if you are just hovering it's surprisingly realistic.
@@ZeSpektrum Yep, but not consistently at 4-5 km distances or more, with a 70ies/80ies wire guided ATGM
Is there a server that hosts a permanent war for continual game play between opposing forces?
How do you get rid of the copilot body? And do you still have ai copilot abilities?
@@PapahCloud same way as pilot body. Right shift P I believe. Pilot body is cosmetic only.
Hovering is bad
I wouldn't defend a UN outpost even in a game, even if I was paid for it🤮
