I’d say he was top 5 around rn if he varied his subject matter more but he sticks to his coke bars, he’s good at what he does but he doesn’t have the versatility to be top 5

I'm a bit disappointed with OXNARD, I feel like both his previous albums were better, this album lacks the depth that Anderson has, I feel like this album is Dr. Dre's interpretation of Anderson Paak. Malibu was made with less resources, less publicity, no big name features, no Dr. Dre and was a better project. Don't get me wrong, it's cool but for all the hype and waiting, it didn't meet my expectations.
Aidan Moore Venice and Malibu have very similar sounds. I can say that this project has a different sound that no one was really expecting to heard from Anderson. I truly appreciate it. Listen to it a few times and you will develop a different appreciation for it. It’s just different but I truly love it .
Truck Turner Yeah. After multiple listens I’ve learned how hit or miss Mansa Musa and the final track were, but I like those, the last one is funny and it’s technically a bonus track so I don’t really count it. Oxnard is a fast-paced slow burn.
Trippy is my fav song of the album dude, it's insanely good. The lyrics, the feature, the beat drop, PAAKS VOICE, meet me in the middle. God it's perfect.
Dre has got to be the best Mixer, he really brought the best out of everything these tracks had to offer. Everyone involved did a beautiful job. I definitely got Compton vibes listening to this, (highly underrated album.)

One thing I noticed with every new hot artist Dre signs, he realeases an album along with them. Snoop dogg doggy style/ the chronic, Eminem slim shady lp/ 2001, Kendrick good kid maad city/ Compton. I hope Dre feed on the energy Anderson paak brings and makes a new album.

First time listening to Paac and I can say this makes me want to listen to everything he’s ever been on, or did. But Dre’s production on this also reminds me of how great he of a producer he is!

The Pusha and Cole guest appearances were excellent! Production wise I was vibing the entire 55 minutes! .Paak has done it again! Shawn go ahead and make some room on your wall for the vinyl.

I love his singing too and do wish he had a couple more slow jams in there but hey i respect the artistic direction he fully committed to it and it feels more cohesive this way. His rapping and melodies are on point throughout the whole album imo
Favorite song is "Sweet Chick". LOVE this album! Can't say it's better than MALIBU though... But Paak SPAZZED on "Mansa Musa"! K.Dot & Cole came through, and "Cheers" is a CLOSE CLOSE CLOSE 2nd favorite song from the album! Love it, I'm ready for more.
It's like near flawless and i like that this is his triumphant confident moment and it shows from his album art. It's clean, unclouded,focused,and proves that he's one of the top dogs in music.
I feel like the album is one of the best for the year. I think the first half of the album is good but from snoop forward it just ascends to straight godliness. Paak you’re a legend for this one.

I agree. It's an amazing album. Not to sound racist or prejudiced but I prefer when black African Americans or White or latino people from urban areas rate and review black music. Not saying anybody can't have a ear for good music but it's more authentic and unbiased. People who can relate more and who knows what sounds to look for. It's about where The artists is trying to go with an album ,and if they accomplish that and get they point across mixed with good beats it a good album. This album was better than his last.

Trippy is my favorite track off the album so far so I’m disappointed in your best tracks list. The production by Dre was fantastic, beautiful female vocals in the background, catchy hook by Paak and solid verse from him, and funny and great verse from Cole. Loved the sentiment behind it as well.
Dr. Dre didnt actually "produce" the whole album he more so mixed and oversaw it but most of the producers on the project were birthed by Dre so....nevermind.
