Well Anya is a lab experiment so we could assume she's not the only enhanced human in their world. Bazooka Bill and his father aside Yor's abilities are seems like at super-human level to me :)
The way I see it. Bill is either currently a super soldier experiment and his "father" is merely a soldier who is tasked to oversee his growth or the said super soldier project was defunded and shuttered by the government and his father was a high ranking officer of the project and chose to adopt Bill as his own son.

i think they meant that in some versions of the rules if you catch the ball, then the player who threw it is out (this is how it was done in my school too)

I believe the game you're talking about is called 'Buds up' well up here at least in NY. I'm 39 so it was a while ago, let me try to remember this right or somewhat right.. You would be in a group of 6 to 10 and one of you would throw a tennis or a robber ball that was the size of a tennis ball against a wall and on the bounce back if someone catches it, whoever threw it in the first place would have to stand against that wall and get pegged but you can try to dodge. On the flip side if you try to catch the ball on the initial bounce back and you fail also hitting you in turn you have to stand against that wall. Brutal but so awesome, I've had some good revenge hits in my day. And for that comment you said earlier "It was worth it.. I absolutely agree, I loved the 90's.
I think ANTHONY is remembering a game I used to play with my friends at recess called RED ASS, where you throw the ball against a wall and whoever catches it gets to whip the ball at THROWERS ass as the thrower has to run and touch the wall before they get hit to be SAFE.
My elementary school had a lot of different dodgeball versions. We had the regular one. We had one where the kids that were hit got to circle the other teams playing field and still throw balls. For example if your team hits the other team a lot, you would be surrounded from all sides by kids that wanna hit you with a dodgeball. We had the surrounding version but each team had to keep a big mat standing on it’s side while playing dodgeball, if a teams mat fell over they lost (was probably pretty dangerous, it was a big mat large enough to flatten a child but oh well). We had one where at least one player of each team had to stand on a podium. Added on the podium one we had a dodgeball and soccer combo, behind the podium would be another mat and we had to defend it like a goal in soccer. We had one called the bridge version where we were allowed to cross into the other teams side as long as we were on the bridge. And we had the version where each team got to build a fort (with the surrounding rule to make it harder).
There was butt ball that you used a Tennis Ball and threw it up against a wall. The ball could only be caught with on hand, if you dropped the ball or if it hit you, or caught it with two hands you had to run to the wall to tag it to become safe. Anybody could pick up the ball and wail it towards though as you ran toward the wall.
We had a similar thing except you could catch it with both hands and if someone caught your ball off the wall before it hit the ground you were out. Then you could also call a “challenge” where someone had to throw it from where they were standing, if they didn’t hit the wall they were out, if it hits the wall then you have to touch the wall before the next time the ball hits it or you’re out.
What doesn't translate in the subs are (afaik) Anya's tendency to slur her words and use wrong grammar every now and then. Just a little thing but it makes her sound a LOT more childish and cute LOL Edit: I think "widdle" was the first one I've seen that got translated into the sub somewhat haha

2:16 the last time I ever played dodgeball was in 9th grade. When I went back to school for 10th grade, dodgeball was banned, so we ended up doing a lot more soccer and running around the track. Which majorly sucked, given that I have a bum leg (shattered ankle and cracked tibia when I was 7, dislocated knee/torn ACL when I was 13), so I went from being one of the cool kids in class (I was REALLY flexible, and rarely got hit), to being mocked for being a cripple. Kids (and teens) suuuuuck.
I hated dodgeball in school. When we were doing it, we al ways used the hard rubber balls, so it hurt like a mother fucker. But what I really remember is I would walk to where the game was being played, and pretty much wait to get hit. Never once had the ball myself.
Speaking of that rolling of the dodgeball (kickball I think we deemed it) being safer? My second ever crush got a lucky* kick one day in class, and the ball slid between my legs during a stride perfectly...and I drove my knee into the wood flooring so hard the entire gym stopped activity for a second. And I couldn't walk for the rest of class.
Our gym teachers in middle school had us play a game called Bombardment instead of Dodgeball. Essentially, the gym was divided into two sides with mats stacked up as potential safe spots to hide behind so you wouldn't get hit by the balls. Each side had to guard 3 plastic bowling pins, and once those pins were down, the other team won. You could get people out by hitting them with the balls, but you couldn't aim for their face. One time, we only had one person left on our team, and she was guarding our last pin. She got fed up bc everyone was yelling at her, so she kicked our pin down to end the game. She was my hero lol Edit: I mixed up two games. Bombardment was guarding the pins dodgeball and Paintball Dodgeball had the stacked mats.
Yeah I guess dodgeball in elementary school could be fun, when you weren't the kid everyone hated and the best in the class would attack you 5 at the same time to make sure you stay on the bench the whole hour I mean in a sense they were right, I would have smashed them so hard that their face would've fall off lol
hi, have you heard of an anime called 86? its a anime with the main theme of war and racism i think. Although its in a semi mecha genre, but its not focus on big mecha fight like the gundam series. Its more focus on its story, insane character development and world building. There are small fight here and there but it was short and straight to the point type and when there's a big fight, its a big epic fight. Its a roller coaster of emotion. Hope to see you react to it.

Yeah, in the manga this was more direct and short. I didn't like what they do with the Castle episode, but in this one i think they did a good job adding stuff to the episode.
for me, i did enjoy the castle episode, the difference is, in this episode 10, they added the extras of the manga here, the first part of the episode was base from an extra about mr henderson from the manga

Some of the translations are getting that kind of joke much better than others. Yor's murder puns as well tend to get taken too literally to work.
