Pattaya is just like Bangkok the older you get. The older you get the less time you can handle Pattaya. I used to love it 25 years ago, now I prefer Jomtien and other places in Thailand like Hua Hin and Chiang Mai. Living in Thailand is way different to coming here as a tourist. But Pattaya has its place as a party town.

I think you just found your content Mac. Show the people the other parts of Pataya. Other reastaruants and bars on other soi's and meet the people. Even the beach and things to do and the people you will meet.

You are probably right, it looks like the place you could get addicted to. I am planning to come over at some point in the next 12-24 months and there are lots of things I want to see in Thailand. I like the way you link all your gear, nice touch.

I think people like SEA in general because the west has gone to shit in a lot of ways.
It’s cheaper when you go there. My last night I went out in Australia,which was like 3 years ago I spent $700 on drinks and Uber.
That’s easily a week going out in Pattaya with some lady drinks thrown in.
Then you have a lot of women in the west are chasing money for very little in return. At least SEA everyone knows the deal and for the most part you’re all good.

@@mactvtravel I’m moving over either Thailand or Philippines, depending on what they do with visas, in the next 5-7 years and people who’ve never been just don’t understand why anyone would move there.
I’m a lot of years ex military and it’s gotten to the point where I hate a lot more about the west then I like.
I just wish my mates took me over there years ago cause I’ve wasted a lot of years and money in the meantime 😂

I don’t to be honest mate most people just go running down the beach, I don’t think there is to be honest mate you’d have to travel a bit further out to find somewhere I think mate

always been a big fan of pattaya. Convenience, nightlife, activities, doesn't feel like a ripoff, hotels are cheap, and transports good. prob fave part of thailand, but id prob retire to hua hin

I would still pick chiangmai or chiangrai and avoid Pattaya 😊I lived before in Phuket and I rarely went to the beach anyway...north is much cheaper and more clean,more natural sightseeings
And very bad air (burning season).
For 5-6weeks maximum 😊U still have 46 weeks...I meant it's better for settle down for living,U still can have 1-2months per year in some islands like Phuket,koh Chang
