Jonathan Malaya a very articulate spokesperson for the NSC. My only concern is we seem to be focused on West Philippine Sea security concerns and not appropriately addressing domestic security concerns such as Chinese influence in local politics which has resulted in Chinese operational control of our power transmission lines nationwide thru NGCP, entry of Chinese companies into our communication systems, our increasing dependence on imports from China, now our biggest trading partner, corruption in our Immigration agencies allowing the illegal entry of Chinese intelligence personnel embedding into local businesses. There is an imperative necessity for private sector patriots to actively participate in addressing these domestic concerns.
Great interview. As an outsider, I believe it's time to change the old ship in the Ayungin Shoal. If it's truly the Philippines, it's time for it to be solid island. I hope the PBBM government will build a Filipino military base in that area, while the Philippines has the ally behind them!
The government can solidify the ship using reinforce concrete and concrete barriers, and install necessary accommodations. Then the government can also acquire second-hand commercial vessels ( Ex. bulk carriers, cargo vessels, oil tankers, platform support vessels, jack-up barges, self-propelled jack-up barges, etc.) that can be modified and used as replenishment ships/movable sea bases.
therfore i conclude that we should not let any duterte set foot again in higher position in the gov't so that all the efforts of marcos in wps will not go to waste!.

China is afraid that the Philippines could have a permanent structure defence in Ayungin shoal as it will deter it' s illegal claim in mischief reef. The Philippines has a very assertive move in retaking mischief reef if the Philippines can build a structure in Ayungin shoal and strengthen the defence in the Ayungin shoal by putting up missile defense and dock two patrol boat with 50 soldier deployed with automatic weapons.

That's great: having all the best minds tasked and focused on the WPS. But what about the task on getting a National Defense Shipbuilding and Manufacturing Strategy implemented in the Philippines WHILE think tanks tackle the geopolitical and diplomatic obstacles the country faces every day? There needs to be some effort in giving the Philippines fangs and a longer leash so that it stops being perceived as a loud chihuahua and into a doberman or anatolian shepher dog.

More nation is more getting reluctant in any transaction from Chinas tight claim of his 9-line. The resupply mission of the Philippines to Ayungin shoal is a failure why they shift to air drop supply. Too many magaling is more complicated to attain a common goal.

i don’t believe we are winning…and i think we are losing step by step yet. until china fully blocked the scaborough shoal someday…we cannot afford the war against the giant but we can enforce our eez without the fight…philippines need more big ship for our CG to do our present everyday in wps.
The government can acquire second-hand commercial vessels that can be modified and used as long endurance sea bases and replenishment ships. Simply in that manner, the PCG can effectively maintain permanent presence in the WPS. For example a task group of one modified bulk carrier/oil tanker, two parola class patrol vessels, and three 24-meter fast patrol boats can effectively patrol and maintain presence in Scarborough Shoal/ Ayungin for a long period of time (Ex. 3-6 months).
Hehehe this is the more worries because pilipino is only laughing or saying a joke we dont like war but philippines is accepting weapons for war is it not funny like the chinese dont like war but chines are step by steps advancing because pilipino in reality not challenging chinese

National security council Jonathan malaya is useless because until now what he said that the Philippines will construct a permanent structure in Ayungin shoal and has a budget but now 9 months past and there is no structure being built. Now China is starting building artificial island in Sabina shoal. Jonathan Malaya is keep on talking without a significance results.
