Screw sizes are as follows - all 5/32 thread size: For the wall 1 3/4" long and 1 3/8" long For the shelf 1" and 5/8" Looks like he used the IKEA brand screws that you can buy in a multi-pack; the screw sizes are listed on the back of it. I was so frustrated that I went back to IKEA, asked them what kind of screws to use, and just bought their screws because I couldn't figure out the sizes on my own. Would have been helpful if this info was included in the video!

A quick question whilst I'm here, I drilled 4 holes into an internal solid wall for shelf brackets, but the holes are a bit off even though I marked it correctly. I now need to drill another 4 holes slightly higher and to the left. How far apart do the holes need to be from the first set of holes to avoid weakening the new drilled holes? Also, any advice for drilling holes accurately without the drill bit wondering off? I'm thinking off using a much smaller drill bit first and then working my way upto the 8mm bit that I need. Thank you kindly.
I did the same thing. It’s so weird because for the first 3 brackets it was perfect and the last one was off by a few millimeters. I think my issue was because I was drilling my hole slighting at an angle without realizing it, but honestly I’m not even sure if that’s what caused it lol

There’s a point in DIY if you can’t take basic measurements, walk into a hardware store and figure that out yourself, there’s really no help possible whatsoever.
Wish you used the actual size of the screws and drill bits when describing them. Not just as medium long and short.. Would be a lot more helpful to copy you than guessing.

Hmm, personally I’d fix the brackets to the shelf first making sure they were all aligned correctly using a flat surface and a 90° angle. Then present the whole thing to the wall making sure it was level. Then mark the holes on the walls through the screw holes in the brackets. Because what if your brackets aren’t completely level if you put them up first? This way you also only exert pressure on the bracket and the wall and not the shelf itself when attaching it.
For attaching bracket to the shelves, I used rounded head, 1” screws for the longer center edge, and 3/4” screws for the “outer” thinner edge. Hope this helps!
Ikea absolutely sucks for wall screw recommendations. The product doesn't come with any screws, I understand that all walls are different but including 3 size options surely would have sufficed. I have no clue what to use at this point but my stud finder couldn't locate the studs at a 0.5 inch distance but did find them at a 1.0 inch distance. The bracket itself takes up nearly 0.5 inches before the screw gets to the wall, so I'm assuming I need at least a 1.5 inch screw length. Maybe longer.

Just buy a pack with different measurements and measure them Onto the shelf
The big problem with those type of anchors over time they will fail. If you can find a wall stud that’s much more profitable than without
