Omg .....what a fantastic piece a kit lads.....I know and have seen the GPS in use for mowing etc but for the life a me I don't know why ye don't all have one if the grants are there phil..!!!......be a better purchase in the long term than another vintage machine boys? ???????? Food for thought ....👍👍
You may apply for that grant quick Phil. Great to see yous getting kit like this to try out..... its a sign you have hit the big time. I hear Adrian (Ifarm wefarm) is starting to do vintage Thursdays. Yous are all vintage mad 😉
Father Phil and Farmer Phil - I hope you purchase that spreader. Seems to save both money and time. I'm sure it would be even more efficient if you use auto steer on a tractor and pre-map every field (one time task) and only touch the steering wheel at headlands. The integration of technology on the farm is the way to go. If you get the fields fertility tested then the spreader can apply variable rates of fertiliser to make applying fertilisers more efficient with the benefit of both better yields and further cost savings to be had.
If you are able to get the grant the savings you are making on fertiliser would hopefully pay for the spreader in a few years, now you just have to get father Phil on board with the idea. But I guess we will see that in the round up video for the spreader
@@claesmansson9070 I don't mean "round up" the expensive version of glyphosate I am on about the final review video about the spreader also known as a round up of information

Hi Phil and father Phil loving the videos. I suppose you'd need a lot of acres to justify buying one even with the grant list price is over €25000 I think you'd need to be using it for hire!!!
@@michaelgalvin6491 it would be worth it still, in one field 25 acres or whatever he said it was he saved a ton of fertiliser, if they spread 500 acres of land with it (which they would easily I reckon), in theory that would save them 20 tonnes of fert saving them in the region of 6000-8000 depending on the price per ton in their area 3 years and the spreader has paid for itself with the fert it has saved

Phil, just before you mentioned farming safely, I was cringing looking at you standing between the loader tractor and the spreader as your dad was inching forward slightly. I don't want to sound like the martyr but it's those simple oversights that can go badly wrong. Stay safe.
