The episodes aren’t being put behind First, they’re still free on the website. However, the website is pretty bad and it sucks to see them off TH-cam. Their justification is that an ad on their site gives 10x more revenue than TH-cam. Even if this is true, youtube would likely give them way more traffic lol. Also pissing off the community before restoration fucking sucks
I agree with what you said whole heartedly. I understand that they want to make money off of their creation. But most of it was created over a decade ago, especially the stuff that people actually watch. It's like... it already came out. You already made money off of it. Almost everyone involved with it has moved on. But you want to try and get every penny you can out of its corpse at the cost of making it harder for new fans to stumble across it?
I remember Miles Luna making this point a while ago about why he's taking down all the Rooster Teeth stuff on TH-cam, like RWBY and all that. It's really damn stupid of them, it gives them little benefit, besides a few viewers who are now practically forced to watch their website or pirate it if it's easier for them. And they always complain about not having enough money for animating but do stuff like this which honestly may make them less money. I at least hope for the last RVB season they don't do what they did with RWBY and put it on another damn website like Crunchyroll that isn't even their own.
I'd rather just pirate it. If I have to go out of my way to watch it on some shitty website, it could at least have the feature length cuts of each season instead of the individual episodes.
Remember Halo Combat Evolved more like. I find Reach overhyped. CE has the best AI difficult and the friendly marines feel like part of an army. Can hold their own on herioc if you're not sloppy. CE also seems to have the best AI somehow. Unless it's flood. Flood don't count. Reach has brutes. Elites in CE are more engaging.
I've always felt that RvB's presence on TH-cam was like a small bit of the early days of the Internet kept around for posterity. I think that's why this stings so much more than taking RWBY down, and why it really feels like they're kicking the last bit of what made them them to the wayside. Really disheartening.
"it really feels like they're kicking the last bit of what made them them to the wayside" That is exactly what they are doing. A lot of old content creators have done this because the 'old internet' wasn't monetized.
I'm glad that there are still DVDs and back-ups people saved, but something that stings the most is the loss of all the fan comments discussing RvB episode by episode...
@@shockwave1o137 I'm sorry shockwave, I was just speaking in-general. I don't know many if any back-up sources. Sorry I couldn't be of help. I'm sure they're *out there*, good luck finding them.
RvB did a full 180 from “everything great about the internet” to “everything that sucks about the internet” and it’s tragic to see. They deserve the slow-motion implosion that’s happening to them, like the company that first made the games this series is based on, they are a shell of who they used to be and only the worst parts remain. I’ll just have to remember the good times of yesteryear. What a shame though.
@@zetasann Not the show itself, the people that make it is what I’m referring to. A lot of shitty choices against fan interests. Also a lot of stuff has come out about them being a phenomenally shitty company to work for, treating people that work for them like trash and being insanely toxic. So yeah.
You know, after watching recent Act Man videos on the current state of 343 and explanations about how absolutely fucked the constant changes of design leads, upper management, and overall vision for Halo... It's sunk in that 343 is just a name. And also that it's the name of something that's acted as a revolving door of people in recent years. And at this point I just hop that stops so they can actually make good games from now on. Probably won't happen though.
Oh wait... We were talking about Bungie, huh? Yea. Fuck them. Burning original Destiny 2 content completely and not giving people anyway to access the old campaigns really struck a blow to me. Especially since I paid for it. And now it's just gone.
It's funny how they could have maintained a profit off of catering to the OG fans who stuck around for the RT Podcast, RvB, the AH crew, etc... And instead they felt the need to fix something that wasn't broken to appeal to younger audiences, and get a cut of that sweet, sweet new younger generation's views/profit. They literally shot themselves in the foot. At the end of AH's life, they went from videos from 2013-2018 having 900k to 2M views, to struggling to get 50k per video, even months after the video was out. And we know why that is - they started bringing in new/younger personalities whose comedy style just DOESN'T mesh with the old crew. And that's not bad - new blood can be great, if they're compatible with the people that the fans stuck around for. It's a necessity to replace people when old personalities leave the coop. And it worked great when Ray left, and Jeremy and Matt took his place. But in every other regard, a lot of the people they've brought in to replace familiar faces - be it on the RT podcast, AH, etc - have suffered from that generational gap, a different mindset when it comes to the "Yes, and?" style of comedy their videos and podcasts had, and that weird Gen Y/Gen Z mentality of having to be the loudest/quirkiest in the room at all times. The best part about classic RT was that everyone had a specific personality and style of comedy that worked in tandem, they had an existing friendship (for the most part) that they played off of, and all of their stuff benefitted from it. RvB was a group of friends playing off of eachother, AH was a group of pals playing games and trolling the shit out of eachother, etc. That's all gone now, because that fun comradery that was there with the original group (and eventually the friends they brought in when they worked at the Congress/Ralph Albanedo Dr. offices) is just gone. It's a lot of people they hired from outside their friend group that were popular online personalities, or for the sake of filling an empty spot. And the lack of chemistry between the new folks themselves is shaky at best, and absolutely terrible in a lot of cases, with the old RT personalities. I had hope they'd turn things around, but it looks like they are dead set on running the company straight into the Grand Canyon. And moves like this - putting RVB on a site people won't even stumble across unless their Google search manages to SOMEHOW point them at "Funny Halo Comedy Videos" - are only going to hurt them more, when they could just silently profit off the random new viewer who stumbles across it on TH-cam.
"There's so many good stories where some brave hero has to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors cheer, and everyone lives happily ever after. But the hero never gets to see the ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith. Ain’t that a bitch.” -Epsilon/Church
@@Yourhandlesystemsucks That is the consensus after all... Hard agree. The stories were not exactly terribly written, but they simply *don't* fit in a deeper than the FBI in illegal stuff super winter soldier plan, that has members betraying each other like mercenaries in a 2010's action film.
I remember when RoosterTeeth was a group of friends making shows, skits, and shorts and having a blast doing it and giving zero f*cks. But now as a (failing) company they bend the knee on things that further alienates them from their fanbase.
It makes me really sad. Watching the downfall of friends having fun to being consumed by corporate greed was depressing to witness. Just a tragic part of internet history.
Rooster Teeth as a company on their way to ruin literally every single thing I liked about them as a company in the last 20 years (they made some extra cash off it)
RT Podcast: Dead and replaced with something that has a fanbase in the thousands. Achievement Hunter: Dead and replaced with a hybrid sketch comedy/gaming show RvB: Just dead. Like goddamn, I have seen people chain together bad business moves before, but not with the "Hold my beer" intensity RT has had the past couple years. It's going to end up becoming a benchmark for how to tank your company, in the next decade.
@@IrisCorvenWith everything that has happened around them in the last few years, it's no wonder so many just jumped ship. They managed to tank everything about it. It's weird, cause years ago you kinda dream of working at a company like that, now you can't imagine wanting to do that. This is what happens when something gets too big, all the heart and soul is stripped away from it. Won't be surprised if it all vanishes in the next few years. It doesn't help that the franchise that made then popular tanked, but they were so far away from halo for a long time. I'd say their best years were the early 2010s, and they didn't really orbit around halo at all much. Had so much going for them. Ray looks like a genius now leaving when he did. Won't be long till all the let's play shit probably gets put behind a pay wall, or something stupid. The only way to save any of this, is if the original faces of the company leave to start something again else where. This company is a disaster, and the people who care about it still don't deserve to sit within the fire.
@yarenkutlu4965 it's was created before he did it looks like... I don't know why I was under the impression he died right after season 10... But I can't find his name credited on season 13 and it shows
Honestly this is reason #2 to boycott the last season. The first being that Nico of Trocadero wanted the band plus Jeff Williams and David Levy (everyone who did the pre-season 14 soundtrack) to be the only ones to do the music for the final season. No outside artists, no cheap stock music. Rooster Teeth did not accept the agreement and thus Trocadero won't have any music in the final season. If RT wants to play the soulless corporation, then I say that they really are living up to their name: real cock-bites.
Wanting to continue to use musical assets that you've been using since Day 1 isn't soulless corporation actions. If anything demanding that your group hold a monopoly of the music, and have to be paid for all the extra little bits added, is soulless. Any little violin sting or musical effect would have to have been bought from Trocadero and co. Open source music is used Constantly in RvB.
@@SendarSlayer so you're saying that someone who designed a soundtrack should lose all the rights to it if they allow someone to use it in a project? nah that's fucked up
Roosterteeth has been tanking for awhile, but this is ridiculous. I'm so glad I've collected Seasons 1-14 of RVB on DVD/Blu-Ray over the years so I can enjoy them whenever.
If anything people buying them instead of pirating is why we're in this mess, as they've let greedy go to their head. You can make up for this by burning copies of your disks legally and losing them only for the videos to mysteriously end up on the Internet... Cough.
This unironically is why I keep discs of all my favourite shows. People will be like "Oh, it's on Netflix," but that comes with: - Requiring a stable internet connection (not likely where I'm at) - A lot of episodes are cut or censored in ways the original isn't, particularly when shot in different aspect ratios - Lack of bonus features, like commentary tracks and gag reels - The realisation that half of what you want to watch is on THE OTHER subscription service, and you have to either pay for that one too or wait X months for the show to migrate. But I can pop in Ergo Proxy or Breaking Bad disc one on my PS4, make some popcorn, and have a blast anytime I please. Less than six months, and those discs have been worth more than the same number of months' worth of Netflix or Hulu. Fuck 'em!
This is going to bite them on their own ass. They're not Paramount, or Disney or Netflix, they're a TH-cam channel that has little over a million subscribers but a view count of less than 10,000. Heck, they're no Felix, Jack or Mark, they're a bygone era of internet lore that only people like me only remembers lost touch because there were better things out there.
At least there's CRASH, the Halo Machinima that gives back some good Ol' RVB vibes. Being in the Machinima Community like I am, I highly recommend them. So far, three episodes have recently been out!
After Machinima's crash and burn, i am glad the community is beginning to recover at last. We won't get back ages of content we lost, but- we can always make new ones, right?
The original machinimas of a many new gamer, before TH-cam itself, when Red Versus Blue first came to be,when Machinima started out, when Rooster Teeth bloomed forth, those were the days my,friend,we'd thought they'd never end. Machinimas screwed people over,Red Versus Blue along with Rooster Teeth delved into utter nonsense, and even TH-cam itself is actively seeking to destroy what we hold dear. CRASH,though, not only brings back the feeling of those early days, but even the feeling of the other Halo series, some big, some small, most incomplete, but all made with an actual understanding of the good stuff. The future is most certainly a dark one,but what few handfuls of light remain shine brighter then ever before.
I'm glad Burnie was able to get out when he did, and left with his dignity intact. RoosterTeeth defined the '00s and early '10s for me, and now I hardly remember they exist.
Remember to download your favourite shows while you can people (wether legally or 🏴☠️) you never know when some asshole may erase an entire chapter of internet history over a few bucks or just some legal nonsense. This comes from someone who already had their favourite childhood internet show taken off TH-cam never to be seen again a few years ago. It's hard to put into words exactly how much it sucks that something you love will forever be relegated to memory. RvB is currently free to watch on Rooster Teeth, but Rooster Teeth is falling apart and has been for quite some time. If Rooster Teeth files for bankruptcy one day and their services go down, then you can only hope someone has the show safely stored somewhere and is willing to reupload it, taking some legal risks in the process. That may not happen.
@@axios4702I take it the disappearance of an abridged series is your aforementioned "favourite childhood internet show"? That being said, if an abridged series is popular enough there's going to be backups abound. But I say if you really, REALLY enjoy a series that has physical media, just go ahead and buy the DVDs. Otherwise, just buy a portable storage device, rip them off a platform, and store them there.
@@Dylan-xx2tk Actually no, the show I mentioned was a dub of an animated show from the Machinima era that was taken off TH-cam alongside the original version when Machinima went down. Your last bit is exactly what I was talking about.
Just like a country, if you infiltrate it and rot it to the core from the inside, it's over. Really does suck tho rvb is my most watched show of all time. Easily watched it 30-40 times for the first 13 seasons
Thank you for showing my video for the fan-base portion of the video! Red vs Blue has been a huge part of my life for a long time now (still is), and seeing it being taken off of TH-cam has been extremely unfortunate. It's where my friends and I would watch it all the time back in the day.
Honestly, considering the insane amount of endlessly stupid decisions RT has made in the past 8 or so years, I can't help but wonder if Monty cursed them from beyond the grave or something.
@@trustno173I mean, it was alleged that one of the first things the company did after his dead was shutting the door on his wife. If that holds any truth he had every reason for that curse IMO.
@Drag0nvil with how they waited literally no time at all after he passed before they started fucking with RWBY I do firmly believe those old rumors that many of them were trying to usurp his direction with the show and all the disagreements that they had with him. He was the only reason that show was good and when he passed away it went off a cliff damn near instantly.
I searched Red vs Blue and while the seasons aren't on the Rooster Teeth page I saw that every season is free to watch. It was the 1st result that came up when searching red vs blue and while it says 8 seasons....every season of RvB is condensed into 20-24 minute long episodes. Seasons 1 and 2 are the BG Chronicals, Season 3 is The Recollection Saga, season 4 is the Project Freelancer Saga, season 5 is The Chorus Trilogy, season 6 is the Anthology, season 7 is The Shisno Trilogy and season 8 is Zero. It's showing they're all free to watch.
@nikoclesceri2267 I have the premium since I use TH-cam music so I haven't seen any of the ads. It sucks, but at least it's an option. The only other down side is the episodes are censored, though it mostly just bleeps out fuck.
Rest in peace rooster teeth. RvB was the perfect example of what RT was. Friends doing something they loved, being passionate enough to make a story and world that grew. Its so sad to see RT fall, no longer run by those friends, no longer run by passion, but by the corpo rulebook of numbers and statistics, cold hard cash and not caring about fans
RT its a case study of a studio that raise from mere, pure, unfiltered passion, to crashland and drag itself throught mud for pure greed, abuse, and incompetence. I still remmeber the day their new 'logo' was shown, it show pretty well how the studio is: Zero risk taken, souless and zero imaganitation or passion
My biggest concern is the PSAs. Most of those are impossible to find anywhere but TH-cam. If they're removed, a good chunk will outright become Lost Media.
Gonna be honest, RvB and RWBY were the only reasons I kept watching videos on their channels. Until they decided to remove every single episode of RWBY and the whole show went to shit after Volume 4, now this, removing fucking everything of my favorite show that I’ve watched for 15 or so years pisses me off so much man. Now I regret not buying the box sets.
The content is still free to watch on their website? You can also still buy DVD's online. The show isnt disappearing or being locked behind a paywall like this video says
Jon is too based to let that happen. We *almost* lost Arby n The Chief because of how all the episodes were on Machinima's channel, but he managed to get in touch with a Machinima employee who's been around for a while and was like "oh yeah, you can reupload the episodes, no biggie :D"
My dad got me the first five seasons of Red Vs Blue when I was 14 back in 2012, and it was fantastic. I have seasons 1-13 on DVD, I feel like the series was concluded at the end of the Chorus trilogy.
Aside from CRASH the group at "Innovative Monitor" also made a RvB series of their own, or more specifically a spin off of it. Only 2 episodes but still better than what Roosterteeth has done.
RT can't get anymore worst can they? Like I'm still surprised that they haven't been shut down by now after all the bad things they've done. After the bad things they've done, they never changed for the better, and keeps going down wrong path. Ppl can say what they want about 343i but at least 343i has new management that's been picking up the pieces and making Halo: Infinite better. What's RT doing now?
No. You're right. It's all about Rooster Teeth First. They're doing the same thing with RWBY. Consider that RWBY was just announced by the official WB YT channel as Season 9 going on Blu-Ray and DvD. On top of that, RT started trying to drum up the battlecry of hashtag greenlightvolume10 which tells me they haven't even started. Why haven't they started? My guess is during the outrage during Vol 7-8 that got out that RT doesn't have money and can't pay it's animators which were forced to work crunch, the balance sheet is in the red. So with RvB being the first flagship and therefore as important, they would absolutely be pulling the series off YT to put on their website and trying to drive more traffic there in the hopes of getting more memberships. They did the same thing with RWBY and Genlock wasn't even free. It's all about money and circling the drain.
I'm very relieved that I watch the whole show before this happened. I finished it maybe a few of months ago that including, the last season that everyone hated.
I did the same, but a couple of weeks ago. I think they terminated the videos like a day or two after I finished the chorus trilogy... Man it was my show for comfort whenever things didn't look pretty... Felt like an energy sword stab
Saw this coming. The moment Roosterteeth fired people for disagreements (Tex) it shows they couldn't address concerns properly and woud become close minded. When such things remain unchallenged then insecurities take root. Now they have teached the point that they're removing good content from youtube. Pushing people away leads to being too concerned with your own self image. It's a bit like Disney. Used to be good. Now worse. When people make excuses for lack of communication then you lose focus and make more mistakes.
Kinda besides the point but of all the people you could’ve picked as examples of Roosterteeth unfairly screwing someone over you picked Kathleen Zeulch? Really?
@username1660 There's like over a dozen examples he could have picked from, and he picked one of the times they were completely justified as an example.
Actually... A bit of a fun fact here. The series is still on youtube, but not on the roosterteeth channel. Instead it is on the "TH-cam Movies & TV" No idea how long it will BE there however.... *Most of it at least...*
Guess its time to buy the dvd/ blu ray copies, not from rooster teeth, but drom somewhere else. I use rvb and rwby to fall asleep at night. I stopped watching/listening to any of the other content ( podcasts, ah, anything else) a few years ago. I started back in 2005 when i was a senior in high school. Watched and listened to everything they put out for years. Was a member of first for a few years. It is sad to see the company destroy itself.
I watch RvB almost everyday... i leave it in background, cry and laugh at my fav moments. Ive done it for over a year now, though I first saw it before TH-cam was made. Its sad.
I now seriously regret only watching the first season. Kept telling myself "it'll be there when I got the time". Seems I was wrong. And that is depressing.
Besides DeathBattle Red vs Blue was the only thing I really watched in th RoosterTeeth Roster I one time thought of watching regular Rwby after liking Chibi but Passed as I heard how Awful it's been as the seasons continue and now hearing about RVB being Taking off TH-cam I'm conflicted as the company is continuing to literally disintegrate the same way modern Disney is.
I’m genuinely amazed at how much they have tanked as a corporation. RT losing Monty and Ray were like death bells for the company before more and more of the drama. They have the name Let’s Play for one of their channels. Like it shouldn’t be that hard for them to have made enough money in this subscription heavy market we are in from gaming to twitch to TH-cam. How insane was the pay check for the oldest members and favorites. Like how incompetent do they have to be to not take in an insane amount of money.
Losing Monty wasn't really a death knell (except in the most blankly comedic sense), but Ray leaving was probably the biggest sign that they were deviating from allowing their talents to have the freedom to do what they wanted to instead of what the company thought would bring in more views. Also from even the third season of rwby, there were stories from former animators about how the company really had very weak organizational structure for projects and that said poor structure regularly lead to several crunch periods every few episodes.
Epsilon: Remember what Delta always use to say? Caboose: Memory is the Key. Epsilon: Caboose. If I don’t come back, you’re in charge of remembering me. Don’t let Tucker help, he’ll just fuck it up. Goodbye buddy. It’s always sad to see friends go. But I think it’s important that we always remember these words. Memory is the key.
I used to put the complete series on as background noise whenever I had nothing to do because I loved it. I wish I knew it was going away from TH-cam before hand
I remember Red vs. Blue pre-youtube, when they had a rotating selection of video-files you could download from their website so that they wouldn't get hammered all at once and crash the FTP server.
I'm fucking mad, I will now go and make an archive of every single Red vs Blue episode/season in order so we have an offline solution and I don't fucking care, who's in?
Here's a fun chain reaction. Rooster Teeth will take Red v Blue off of TH-cam, and traffick to their website will cease to exist, because people will forget it exists.
They lost themselves a long time ago. What used to be a passionate and fun endeavor turned into a money-craze and a chore. They started taking things too seriously and forgotten why they were doing it, forcing it instead. Think I still have the first couple of seasons backed-up on CDs somewhere.
Makes you think if they actually hired a group of ACTUAL fans who understand what Rooster Teeth was. Then maybe the company would have a chance to return as it was in it's glory days. Just a bunch of people having fun and not abiding by corporate rules.
I've honestly trashed seasons 1-5 on DVD after I heard about the scummy things going on in the company. I mean moral things how the female employees were "allegedly" and/or "supposedly" treated. They canned and kicked Heyman for political reasons and tried to say, "Oh! WE'RE JUST MAKING CUT BACKS!" Like... Heyman was with them since what? S1E2? A relatively earlier episode in season one. The commentary on one of the DVDs mentioned how he lost his job on Angel and yet was STILL sticking with working on RvB. :I You don't can (throw out/fire/"let go" of) someone like that without a VERY good reason. Yet they supposedly did based on what some people who looked into it have said. Something about the company that currently owns rooster teeth didn't like something Heyman said or did in regards to politics. The company is just... Dead. They're losing the founding people, they pushed RvB beyond what it could achieve only to STOP using machinima and only use terrible motion capture animations. And what all else is there? I've never really bothered to try watching RWBY... I liked the "scientific" stuff where they'd test game mechanics in real life... I occasionally still listen to Black Box Down. Some RTAA stuff is still good. But other than that I just don't care. Most of us, watching this, kind of grew up with Red VS Blue. We dipped into the other stuff rt did to see what weight like. Some of you are probably enjoying some of the other stuff, sure. But it started with RVB and they over-milked it and now it's biting them on the rear. Says the guy who cried when Caboose thought he was talking to Church on "the other side" when it was actually a time portal... :I Yes. I cried. Anyway, there's a comment for you. Hopefully it makes the demonic algorithm overlord happy.
So glad I got my hankering for watching old RvB out before the takedown. Saw everything up to Epsilon Church's death over the course of a couple of days.
I feel like we are living in a world infected by the flood. All of the things that made life great are being consumed from the inside out and are just a horrifying shell of what they once were.
I gave up on them years ago. When all the orignals completely stopped being in content creation, it wasn't the same anymore. They tried to hard to focus on people like 12-16 and stopped caring about the people that made them.
Honestly the state of RT in general is tragic. They have a revolving door of people at this point and the ones who are left don’t seem to have the same passion for what they’re doing. I haven’t watched their content much since the whole thing with AH Ryan went down and everytime I go back to check on them the content just feels soulless. RvB should have ended a long time ago and it’s obvious they kept the franchise on life support because of nostalgia. RT definitely chose to become the villain rather than die a hero and my childhood memories are worse off for it
I could never get into their other shows and it broke my heart. Watched lets play for a bit n listened to the podcasts but stopped halfway through highschool. Ray left, and geoff stepped back, scandals and whatnot.
The red vs blue DVDs are quickly becoming VERY hard to find now and many of the seasons are being sold for 20 dollars each so it’s definitely a good idea to collect them now before the price gets even higher
I swear every series/company/IP I liked back in the early 00s just isn't here anymore in one way or another. They either die an unceremonious death abandoned and wiped away, or become corrupted versions of what was. Every damn time. Aint that a bitch.
Sad to see RT become a pathetic shell of the internet culture titan it once was, particularly over the last few years. To say the company is on its last legs would be a huge understatement.
It's not for RoosterTeeth First; because that's only to give paying fans a first chance look at new episodes before they're finally released for free for everyone else. If I were a betting kind of gal, I would say it's more likely that they're removing it from TH-cam for either monetization reasons (because people do reactions to it and RWBY and they put ads on if free use is allowed, idk if RT allows free use) or because they want any and all RvB traffic to flow through their domain for the end of its life cycle. Of which, I still think it's a terrible idea to end the series just because they fucked up on Zer0 and didn't do so hot on the Shizno Paradox. Clearly the issue was artistic freedom being given to those who didn't have much attachment to the show in terms of its humor and flow.
First also gets rid of ads on their site. And since on their site you have to watch each episode individually (instead of in full season chunks), you get an ad every 12-15 minutes.
Well said, barely finished the first half of the first episode zero until I was done with it. Visually it was okay but it missed everything on what red vs blue normally is and did OGs like wash and Carolina dirty right off the bat by getting their butts whooped by enemies with hax abilities, guess they took a page from reean Johnson’s book about giving the middle finger to fans.
I think they should end the Series regardless of if they did well on any new seasons. The true ending in my heart will always be when the Reds and Blues were holding that door at the end of season 13 (May have been twelve, been a while since I watched the series.) It was the perfect ending, the open ended nature added a lot to it I think.
This destruction of art should be considered a crime against humanity, technology makes like easier, art makes life worth living. Pay walling something that was already free should also be considered a crime after all price gauging illegal...
I already moved on but this decision just burned the the only chance they had to get me back. It's time to move on and support smaller Halo Machinima on YT that deserve far more support than RT. I recommend CRASH. Only sports 3 episodes so far it's been a fun and intriguing show that feels like classic RvB but it's also its own thing.
If they paywall the last season, imma do everything in my power to watch it without paying and RT will fall in the "companies that I now hate" category
I think Red VS Blue S3 is on TH-cam TV. It's censored, and from what I've heard, removes some scenes, but hey, I'll take what I can get for free when it comes to this. But sadly, Rooster Teeth is busy causing grief by acting like Disney.
Dear God. I thought this was clickbait but NO, it's true 😭. Now Rooster Teeth Animations is a VTUBING CHANNEL!!! I am so glad I finished watching season 10 a few months ago. The series was an insane experience that I will never forget
even worse it's a straight corpo vtubing channel. Nobody gives a shit about RWBY anymore except its haters & its ever dwindling fanbase RT has been circling the drain ever since the warner sellout. Think we're about at the bottom now
I own all seasons on Amazon but this is still sad to see. Sure, I'll remain unaffected but others will lose the chance to see some of the better works of rooster teeth.
RvB leaving TH-cam just for a paywall bites in the worse way possible, since if the company ends up going to a point that it gets wiped then thats it. While I hope they'll put it all back when the time comes so they don't get forgotten. I know afew good series on here that got the RvB spark and look forward to each day: Crash by B00mrang, Red vs Blue Out of Touch by Innovative Monitor and there are other machinimas like Open Lobby by TeamKilltacular. @@Death2all546 True, and I believe a personal situation occurred that affected the production, but I like bringing up the series as something people can go to for a binge.
I will be buying the final season when it comes to DVD. I own the 10 year box set, 11-14 individually, and this will be the last piece I need to finish the collection of seasons I care about/love. After that, I have no interest in ever giving this company any more money.
I downloaded most of their seasons years ago...but I don't know where I put the files and I don't know if the quality is the best, I don't even know how many seasons I am still missing
Reupload gang wya 😅

Or alternatively, "Memory is the key"
One, a perfect game, the other, a perfect show.
Remember Halo Combat Evolved more like. I find Reach overhyped. CE has the best AI difficult and the friendly marines feel like part of an army. Can hold their own on herioc if you're not sloppy. CE also seems to have the best AI somehow.

Wait what went wrong in RvB? Im not very far into it yet.
Ain’t that a bitch.”

Rooster Teeth as a company on their way to ruin literally every single thing I liked about them as a company in the last 20 years (they made some extra cash off it)
They're already there and jumped off the edge
RT Podcast: Dead and replaced with something that has a fanbase in the thousands.
Achievement Hunter: Dead and replaced with a hybrid sketch comedy/gaming show
RvB: Just dead.
The good ol' Cockbite Corporation holds the world record for how many squanders of good faith a company can accomplish
Nah, that goes to 343.
But Trocadero practically MADE RvB what it is...

Honestly wish I had seasons 1-13 on DVD. I’ll miss the glory days.
How much do those fetch for?
If anything people buying them instead of pirating is why we're in this mess, as they've let greedy go to their head. You can make up for this by burning copies of your disks legally and losing them only for the videos to mysteriously end up on the Internet... Cough.
This unironically is why I keep discs of all my favourite shows. People will be like "Oh, it's on Netflix," but that comes with:
- Requiring a stable internet connection (not likely where I'm at)
- A lot of episodes are cut or censored in ways the original isn't, particularly when shot in different aspect ratios
- Lack of bonus features, like commentary tracks and gag reels
- The realisation that half of what you want to watch is on THE OTHER subscription service, and you have to either pay for that one too or wait X months for the show to migrate.
They were bought, Warner Brothers owns them now. That's why these changes are happening. RT is just IP to them now.
At least there's CRASH, the Halo Machinima that gives back some good Ol' RVB vibes. Being in the Machinima Community like I am, I highly recommend them. So far, three episodes have recently been out!
CRASH is the soul successor to Red vs Blue. Change my mind
Out of touch is another new one, that while I feel CRASH is better Out of Touch is still enjoyable.

I mean, there’s some good stories in season 14.
"Balance sheet is in the red." What does that mean?
I'm very relieved that I watch the whole show before this happened. I finished it maybe a few of months ago that including, the last season that everyone hated.
I did the same, but a couple of weeks ago. I think they terminated the videos like a day or two after I finished the chorus trilogy...

Saw this coming. The moment Roosterteeth fired people for disagreements (Tex) it shows they couldn't address concerns properly and woud become close minded. When such things remain unchallenged then insecurities take root. Now they have teached the point that they're removing good content from youtube.

I'm in.
Welp, Roosterteeth just gave people further initiative to have the current Roosterteeth be remembered as talentless hacks.
RIP the Amazing Comments that were made on the comment section for the episodes, though I didnt look at them and probably late.
RT definitely chose to become the villain rather than die a hero and my childhood memories are worse off for it
Guys....
*Dont Cry or be sad that it's over, Be Happy because it Was Created and it happened!.*
I jumped ship the moment they started animating it instead of just using the game.
I could never get into their other shows and it broke my heart. Watched lets play for a bit n listened to the podcasts but stopped halfway through highschool. Ray left, and geoff stepped back, scandals and whatnot.
I was so worried about this happening. I really shouldn’t have deleted all of my backups
The red vs blue DVDs are quickly becoming VERY hard to find now and many of the seasons are being sold for 20 dollars each so it’s definitely a good idea to collect them now before the price gets even higher
There goes my plan to rewatch the series again soon. I wanted to watch the Chorus trilogy again…
It was on Netflix for a few years, whilst still being free on youtube. But only up to season 9, and it was just 9 long movie sized videos.
Isn't it strange how everything Halo and Halo related lately is just...down in the dumps? Maybe not dead, but a far less popular and desired.
Gotta love how they spent the entirety of last year reuploading every season in the high quality just for them to nuke em lol
And a few days later they released a statement essentially proving you completely right.
If y’all really want a new red vs blue you could all just watch crash by boomerang.
To me, this act right here cements Red vs Blue's legacy. A good show, twisted and corrupted by a greedy, amoral and frankly shitty corporation.
I’ve bought the dvds for seasons 1-8 on dvd and intend to get them through 17 and maybe restoration whenever it’s out
At least Crash seems good. And it's made in the spirit of OG red vs blue.
CRASH?
@@broden4838 It's a new Halo machinima series. th-cam.com/video/tyMWEQB0AUg/w-d-xo.html
I swear every series/company/IP I liked back in the early 00s just isn't here anymore in one way or another.
They either die an unceremonious death abandoned and wiped away, or become corrupted versions of what was.
Every damn time. Aint that a bitch.
Almost feels like the corporations want to push only 1 storyline ... I feel ya man
Putting contact over this is not fair. Bouta tear up
Sad to see RT become a pathetic shell of the internet culture titan it once was, particularly over the last few years.
The true ending in my heart will always be when the Reds and Blues were holding that door at the end of season 13 (May have been twelve, been a while since I watched the series.)
It was the perfect ending, the open ended nature added a lot to it I think.
I'm glad I downloaded all the episodes off TH-cam
Nobody gives a shit about RWBY anymore except its haters & its ever dwindling fanbase
RT has been circling the drain ever since the warner sellout. Think we're about at the bottom now
I don’t even get WHY it became a VTubing channel.
Because of hololive production and NIJISANJI that’s why? Nah… 💀
They moved all their stuff to youtube movies and tv.
I own all seasons on Amazon but this is still sad to see. Sure, I'll remain unaffected but others will lose the chance to see some of the better works of rooster teeth.
I thought they hated "goodbyes". Guess not.
The show ended with season 13, so glad I have seasons 1 - 13 on dvd, fuck RoosterTeeth
(there's also Spriggs by RunningGunStudio but they ..finish? or at most haven't done anything after the last episode)
Judging by their channel, Spriggs was either finished or kind of cancelled as everybody’s personal lives took priority.
@@Death2all546 True, and I believe a personal situation occurred that affected the production, but I like bringing up the series as something people can go to for a binge.
It's still on youtube.
I’m more shocked at the fact that rooster teeth is still a company
With how long ago they took rwby off youtube... and then taken off their own site, I'm genuinely surprised it took them this long to move RvB
*laughs in physical dvd copies from Goodwill
I will be buying the final season when it comes to DVD. I own the 10 year box set, 11-14 individually, and this will be the last piece I need to finish the collection of seasons I care about/love. After that, I have no interest in ever giving this company any more money.
I downloaded most of their seasons years ago...but I don't know where I put the files and I don't know if the quality is the best, I don't even know how many seasons I am still missing
Shocker that the company headlined by rapists doesnt make good decisions.
What the fuck
Who? I know of Ryan of course, but who else?
There's at LEAST three, maybe more. i forget which ones.@@TheMasterUnity
Everything went to hell when Monty passed. RWBY and RvB.
As cool of an alternative to television that streaming services are, I miss when there were fewer of them. Everything feels so segmented these days.
