    Nowadays it says it says "Assembled in USA from domestic and foreign sourced parts". That means only one part needs to be made in USA. Could evne be the stick on label. I saw a video on TVs labeled as such and the TV was made and packaged in China. The importer opened the boxes and inserted a USA approved AC/DC converted in order to allow the labeling. The converters could have been made in China and just shipped in separate crates.

      you are chinses? I work in the pro audio industry and I help set up a lot of large staging shows in china, I lived in china for more then 12 years. The fact is Chinese pro audio equipment is shit its unreliable and the sound is crap and unreliable and noisy in sound and back ground hums as well as being just junk.
      why do they use allen and heath music desks, martin audio london speakers as well as audio technica japan microphones for in all the top staging shows in china? its simple really please just tell us all why if you disagree? and why does the police, fire department, ambulances all government vehicles use overseas goods for and those who have money? because these people and departments know that if you want the best and the quality they don't buy from the home land .... and why does china like to steal and cheat the people who freed you all and gave you the opportunities to make jobs and have a better future? and why do you people cheat each other for in china? why tells us all. get of you tube and return home or if home why are you using TH-cam for? government worker???? case closed.
      I loved china and the people but I have no time for the ones
      great video mate, we had to throw 3 x 40ft containers to the dump as it was all just junk, it was going to to cost more to send the shit back to the company in china who sent faulty rubbish that was not was what is was meant to be.
      mean while we lost 280.000.00 NZD'S so its simple we don't sell Chinese goods and have not for 3 years and will not again, we sell B52 USA speakers and amps as well as carvin.
      Bring back trump and save the world

    Now there are many audio brands that uses speaker drivers made in China to reduce production costs. That's why you have to upgrade with a quality speaker driver

    Mr. Cotton: When we buy "made in America" speakers ie Klipsch Heresy IVs.... how do we know if the components inside ie the drivers or the cross-overs are also made in America? I watched a video with the owner of Ohm speaker company who said his speakers, ... Made in Brooklyn.. contain pieces and parts made in USA and China and other countries.... ????

      Unfortunately, you don't. Your best best is not to buy brands that you know are of Chinese origin. Even American brands that have entry level priced products are generally produced in China under a U.S. manufacturer's name badge. As you move up in quality and price range you have a better chance of U.S. manufacturing. Even JBL touring rigs are using parts from Mexico and China. My point here is not all foreign products are bad. I'm just trying to say spend the extra bucks for the higher quality products and avoid the cheaper Chinese knockoff stuff. At least the higher quality stuff is repairable, a better value for your money in the long run. The Chinese knockoffs are basically throw away and start over items.

      @@garycotton i wish we as americans could easily buy products completely made in america. came to the conclusion I'd be willing to pay a double for anything if it's made in the USA.

    Found your video while looking for an American Made Home Subwoofer to replace my Velodyne FSR 15.. and its a struggle.. companies you think would be arent.. Klipsch subs (China), RHB (China), etc.. so far.. JTR, SVS and a few others but they are far more expensive.. and I will pay

    Great video very informative I was going to buy RCF speakers and I found out that they are being made in China and they’re not as good anymore just like most every on speaker. Thank you for a very in-depth video showing us how bad China is taking advantage of us. I spoke to a repairman who said RCF was made in Italy and they were great and the newer ones are being made in China and getting many in for repairs. Let’s get Trump back in and get everything back to normal

    so dont by Celestion speakers from England only Eminence from USA or Jensens made in Italy???

    • @garycotton
      @garycotton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never said don't buy Eminence. Celestin speakers from E gland are excellent also if you can find them. But both companies are now producing cheaper units made in China which are not identical to original specs. As for Italian, I've always been impressed with many of the Italian brands but you don't really see Italian speakers in the lower priced brands.

    I was talking about this to an acquaintance of mine.
    That what is made in China is often not of such good quality.
    I am sure that if both speakers were used for the same amount of time, the American one would hold more. Apparently they are made in China because production is cheap there.
    And the manufacturer does not care what happens to a product after the warranty expires.
    As far as I remember, the environmental regulations in China are not that strict.

    As in some Chinese products are actually doing the same what the Japanese does, for a way look at other industries like motorcycles that a knockoff Harley performs as a Honda and then the made in USA original has oil leaks while the Chinese copy doesn’t, the copy is more reliable than the original.
    A Buick that is made in China performs like a Toyota in quality.

      yeah, been working with chinese light for years, have never had any issues, also, you can buy 3 or 4 pcs of the chinese stuff for the price of 1 big brand named. so i always have a spare one of everything. also whats wrong with china? all companies around the globe can make cheap stuff and high end products. i mean counterfeit is not good for sure, but being made in china doesnt mean is garbage. nothing wrong buying from a company with years of experience (cause a crappy company woldnt survive so much) no matter where is located

    So the point of this video is don't buy anything. You know even your F-35 Fighters have Chinese parts as well as all your US military equipment 😅

  • @mrbrock1157
    @mrbrock1157 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    showing the difference does not means nothing ,i would like you put both on sound and then we can say which one is the best .Made in USA does not say it is 100% good.

    • @garycotton
      @garycotton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Never said made in America is 100% good. The point is Chinese products are copies of American product, However they use non spec, odd sized parts making them basically nonrepairable throw away items. Therefore, the value is in the American product. I too have Chinese speakers but they are for my own personal use around my home. I wouldn't consider taking a Chinese copy rig on tour.

    Both cheap and nasty as they are pressed steel baskets as opposed to cast iron baskets. My big old English Leak 2075's from the 70's have 15" cast iron baskets. To think the K. La Scala's made in the US use PRESSED STEEL baskets and UK RRP is £12k ( $ 15k ?). For that price I would expect CAST IRON bass units, wouldn't you ??
