Dude in the EM1 totally had a close gear ratio setup. I swear it’s a 1, 2, 3, 3.5, 4 ya know what I mean?
Short gears, 3-4-5 are probably type R or GSR gears. Very common in older Honda’ builds.
Probably a type r gear set they're not the best for racing I had that same gear set in my ek I was running out of gear at the 1000' coasting to a 135 trap. Gsr gear set or a mix between that and ls vtech is the best

With AWD like in the EVOs, short gearing can be a big advantage as long as the driver knows what they’re doing. A lot of cars with long gears are high hp RWD that have trouble putting the power down in high revs (like the Mustang before the coils). With AWD with the same power, the gearing lets the car stay in the higher revs with all the power while being less likely to lose traction. Obviously there’s a lot of different factors, but that’s the gist.

Depends on the mustang model too. I have a "base" model GT with 10-speed auto, it came with a 3.15 gear ratio. Some other mustangs like the performance pack ones, may have 3.55 or 3.73. Those are the ones that burn tires easily. Off the line another GT with a 3.55 or 3.73 will "walk me" but at higher speeds the 3.15 shines.

I prefer the long gearing in my 5 speed wrx compared to the short gearing in the 6 speed sti, the bummer is I have 420whp and have to rebuild my trans every 10k miles
Yeah, the Camaro had the top end, but that EcoBoost did extremely well for having less than half the engine.

@@eletricretard3987 Depends what the owner is trying to do. If they just want the most power as easily and cheaply as they can, then yeah, definitely. But if they're just seeing how fast they can make an EcoBoost because nobody else is, then it's not wasting money doing exactly what he's doing.
at the track here in AZ some people build ecoboosts, there’s one guy who runs 1/4 in the 9’s in an ecoboost

I’m the owner of the r32 lol, 300zx is my friend and we ran it to see where I sit, currently on wastegate PSI breaking in the motor while I figure out some problems I’m having with the boost controller

And expect the largest cam LS7s to be putting up to 550-600 wheel horsepower. Great car bro, hope to see it in another video. Keep it up💪

IDK bout yall but that ECO had him. an Inline 4 Big Turbo took the doonies from that Built SS. the V8 shoulda had him from the start if he was really faster. idk how long they were racing for, but you cant just keep going on and on till you finally pass him and say you won lol
I mean if its a 60-160 or a specified speed in general, it wouldnt matter, chase is a race and if they agreed to race to a specific speed, the Camaro clearly won.

Why not build an Rb20? You get a Skyline look and a Skyline sound for like 1/3 the price of a GT-T and like 1/7 the price of a GT-R. Skylines are rare and pretty expensive and most people don’t need an 8 second car. Besides, 350-400 whp is more than enough to gap a 530i or a C class, maybe even a 3 valve stang.

i would take a stang eco-boost over any new import except a wrx. edit: beadlocks add pounds of completely unnecessary weight to both wheels. the stang would have probably beat the ss if it had a non-beadlock racestar or equivalent lightweight wheel.

i think that random upload times give this channel personality and also when you start to make publish times certain it ends up drying you out of your channel a lot faster
@ 8:28 Lol I think it’s great because it’s different and be honest I actually like the sound of in lines better than v8’s to be fair. For some reason the 10 speed auto when it last shifted in that video clip when the Camaro started passing them for some reason it shifted at a lower RPM than the other shifts or else the mustang might’ve stayed even for at least a few more seconds before the challenger passed him. I don’t even really like new cars that much compared to older cars but I think it would be funny to get a new Mustang with the inline 4 eco-boost motor just to make a total sleeper like this car so in case anyone with a newer muscle car with a V-8 is being cocky especially if they found out that you had a four-cylinder Mustang, so that after they got beat by the eco boost It would hopefully humble there cocky ass out some.

Ecoboost isn't a roll racer it's a light to light racer. Mine has taken multiple gts, zo6s and even a gt 350. Not that they are bad roll racers but the way their engine is they are much stronger from a dig. They are torque monsters because of that twin scroll turbo. Look at the torque curve of a tuned ecoboost it hilarious how early it makes peak torque it's like a little diesel.

@Jack Russelle Lewis Na it doesn’t have much done, looks like the eco is “built” but it only has 2 bolt ons, and the turbo isn’t much bigger then stock. Drew definitely thinks the car has a 6466 or 6266 on it 😂 shit has a 52mm on low boost. There was atleast 100 whp difference between me and tbr camaro he told me it made 550whp ecos on my set up make around 400 to the wheel 😂 minus the wheel set up the turbo and intecooler costed me less then 2 grand. Very cheap build not expensive by any means. I did run a c7z and had it turned up more and “pulled it top end”. The car is in the process of going full e85 soon so it’ll be faster then what it is now it was very limited on fuel.

Funny drew always talks shit on 4 cylinders when he drives a supra which only got popular in the 90s because the 4 cylinder supras started winning races and became popular. If Toyota stuck with the 2jz in the Supra there would be no supra on the cover of Gran Turismo. Even that supra is a 4 banger lol.
@Jack Russelle Lewis not if you know how to build them. Stripping out the interior works wonders as well, along with a decent cage, and tire setup. A fair amount of people try to race with a 4 cylinder with a whole interior. It’s definitely harder to do it that way but it does command respect in some circles.
Some of the greatest cars in the world are 4 cylinders, even those in the rally scene. They’re only lame if you can’t build them up properly or consistently take L’s from losing to them.

No, they handle amazing but the really dont make power all that easy. Youd have to turbo or supercharge the car and youd need the supporting mods for all of that, those N/A boxer motors are kind of a disappointment
