    10min or so drive from me, have heard good things-glad you posted this up as it gives me a better idea of the trails.

      It's ideal for a quick blast if you are pushed for time.
      They will be running very fast with this weather!

    Great video! These trails are just along the road from me, but I’ve not found them yet. Will need to check them out soon!

      @@markoos72 Was actually up there tonight. Found a few of the trails but it’s really overgrown in places.

    Scottish History lessons & MTB is a good video combo

      Yes I think MTB is a great way to get out and experience nature and explore the history of the land first hand without realising you are excercising. I don't think a gym can complete with that.

      @@TheFlowingScotsman totally. I studied Archaeology and did it as a job for a whiley so I am always rattling on about it on rides.

      Cheers mate!👊🏻 The longer one needs a bit of pedaling in places to keep your speed up but it's easy to do laps and session the other steeper sections.
      It's worth a visit and there are a few other trails there that I didn't get round to.

    While you're checking out more of the Forth Valley, give Uni/Hermitage and Mine Woods a visit in Stirling/Bridge of Allan.
    All the trails are posted on Trailforks and would be right up your street! Natural/techy trails and some very well built features and jumps.
    Worth spending a few hours :) if you can extend your run, worth doing the climb back up to the Reservoir and hitting lower Dumyat and Witches Craig (and the Infamous Jo's drop) to return to the Logie Kirk Carpark.

      Thanks for the recommendation! I've been up Dumyat before but there was Forestry work closing off the area around Witches Craig so I've been meaning to get back there and check them out. That route you've pointed out sounds like a good plan. Thanks again👍🏻

    Another great video, trails look good. Is there somewhere to park near it? Been through twechar a few times in the road bike and if memory serves me correctly, parking is at a premium

    • @TheFlowingScotsman
      @TheFlowingScotsman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it👍🏻.
      You can either park in the industrial estate on the right hand side as you enter Twechar, opposite the farm road that takes you to the Fort. When I parked there it was after the businesses had closed and it was quiet. Alternatively you can park along the road that runs adjacent to the Primary School opposite the walkers/cyclists path that leads up to the trail head. I suppose it depends what day and time of day you are there.
      Hopefully that makes sense. That's the two places I've parked when i visited but maybe another local rider can point out somewhere else besides those?
