There was this one mission that was absolutely annoying...when you're out in the desert and you have to get those little creatures back into the pen by daxter jumping on them and riding them and it goes so fast and it's difficult to control...there was also no checkpoint so if you fell off...you had to start the whole thing over
Jak2 is so much harder, the satellite mission in 3 you have to get 75 points, in Jak2 you have to get 400 points from the “Onin challenge” it’s also much faster paced. Jak2 is easily the hardest game I’ve ever played. But Jak3 is my favorite, just wish it was a bit harder. The mission where you use the dune hopper to chase down the raiders is very hard though.
No mission was hard in Jak 3. Some were just mildly annoying, but none were really difficult. Compared to Jak 2 anyway. I beat Jak 3 in hero mode all the time and I'd consider myself a casual gamer, far from pro. I can't be the only one?
Feels nice when you have the upgraded weapons. I get that may defeat the purpose of the "hard game" compared to Jak 2, but I believe the makers never intended Jak 2 to be that hard so they toned it down. I do remember clocking in about 30 hours in Jak 2 on the save time because I would always save even after I fail a mission many times. But in reality I would say it was probably closer to 40-50 hours of gameplay.
Jak 3 is a way easier game than Jak II like damn. I think Naughty Dog knew they screwed up a little bit with the difficulty in the second game because they toned it down a lot here.
I was a weekend gamer kid when this came out. I recalled Jak 2 (difficulty) and Kingdom hearts (getting lost in objectives) always made me put the game down for a couple months at a time. When Jak 3 came out I did die numerous times, but it was more of a under 10 tries on the harder ones so I just push through to the finish line.
jak 3 was so damn awesome. jak 2 was amazing just a little too hard to beat, but my gosh jak 3 was one of my favorite video games of all time. right up there with r&c going commando
The Artifact Run with the Sand Shark should be here because of the stupid Marauders, the bad controls, and the unfair checkpoint system. This mission goes on for way too long and if you fail because you fell from a great height or because those Marauders kill you with their guns or they crash into you, you have to start the mission all over again. In my opinion, it's the hardest Jak 3 mission.
You feel like you’re fighting the controls the whole time, while the AI endlessly flings enemies in front of you as you travel half of the entire desert map. With the cherry on top being the last quarter of the like 24 artifacts it throws at you. Some jumps you’ll probably explode on, and getting turned around in a bland environment. I get the Mad Max inspiration, but I don’t quite get why you couldn’t just use the hover vehicles like in Haven City.
Yeah, it's one of the worst variations of Pac Man I've ever seen. You can't manually turn around, so you're navigating by running into walls to turn around, plus it doesn't show the entire board, so if you aren't super careful, then it's easy to run into that metalhead on there. And the other thing that pops up and replaces the power pellets, I hate that! Honestly, if they just showed the full board, it would probably be okay.

In the terraformer mission Errol never reaches Spargus so you can take all the time you want to hit the targets. When I first played that mission I thought that if I didn’t beat it in time I would lose so I was very stressed to do it fast, and the Jak 2 styled checkpoints didn’t help.
I remember that i struggled a lot with the first one as a kid, replaying the series now and it was not very difficult which really surprised me because of my struggle as a kid. Jak II is more difficult than this game but not by much. The first game is easy in comparison with the sequels
I almost broke a controller in frustration. Like, man..is it hard to see where you're hitting most of the time, and their attacks never let up, so you're constantly shooting down their missiles while getting maybe one hit on them before going back to defense mode.

They give you a perfect out. Have full Dark Jak meter, get in water and dark bomb right away. Then just travel in the water.

Agreed. I hate the stupid dune buggy missions. I'm sure off roading is fun in real life, but it absolutely sucks in video games.

Any mission where I began seated in a vehicle or a turret, I just let out a heavy sigh and went into it. I really disliked most vehicle missions.
I mean, its the same overlay like the controller have. You didnt have the know where the butons are, the game shows it.
Playing this on my Vita with rather unpleasing framerate in comparison. Yeah. Anything that involved aiming was an absolute nightmare at times.
