Danger Zone
Don't Stop Believin' is also in the national register of music. Was put in in 2022
Dancing Queen
I cannot believe you did not put Bohemian Rhapsody for the love of God….
America by Neil Diamond. Pretty much anything by Neil Diamond
Queen' we are the champions is pretty hard not to sing along with
I’m absolutely shocked they did not put Bohemian Rhapsody.
I sing it every time!
@@ChrisJones-yu9rz back in high school I managed to start a whole class singing Bohemian Rhapsody once. I forget the question but because of the answer when I was called on I just straight up sang "Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the fandango?" and it just snowballed from there.
I thought that would have been on the list too
@@ChrisJones-yu9rz Bohemian Rhapsody is more difficult to sing along with. But most of the songs in the list are also not easy, some of them I never heard of let alone knowing the lyrics. We are the champions is a good one.
Queen’s We are the Champions, We will Rock You, Another one Bites the Dust.
Killer queen have already get in your eye, is my limit! I will press it now!
My 4 year old grandson sings We will we will rock you. Definitely has the rhythm perfectly!
Killer Queen.Dont stop me now
I would sing along to We Will Rock You or Another One Bites the Dust. Do not know many We Are The Champions lyrics.
Bohemian Rhapsody
This will sound ridiculous, and a bit wrong, but Total Eclipse of the Heart. I was driving my son home from band practice one night and it came on the radio. We instantly turned it into a duet. Just for context I'm almost 49 and he's barely 19.
Solar Eclipse of the Heart. Song of 2024
@@robertconahan187 And 2017
"...Total Eclipse of the Heart..."
Yep, I fell in love with that song when I first heard it and I still love it, to this day.
I completely agree. It’s an earworm.
Gotta have "Never Gonna Give You Up" - Rick Astley on that list. I mean, Rick rolling......
It would’ve been absolutely hilarious if they put that as number one 😂
The best rick roll I’ve ever seen was at a Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City. Some random kids float with Muppet looking things on it stops and they start singing something about a best friend. then Rick himself comes out of nowhere and literally Rick rolls all of New York City and probably the US lol.
Edit: the video is still up on TH-cam if you wanna watch it lol
Rick Astley should be the president in the USA, thanks to the " Never gonna give you up" song.
@@ChrisJones-yu9rz Found it! That was awesome! What a legend.
@@ChrisJones-yu9rzyes, i have seen that video.
You haven't been rolled until you've been Rick Rolled.....lol
Eye of the Tiger by Survivor desperately needed a spot on this list
I agree
Being a Weird Al fan, I always end up singing "Rye or the Kaiser". 🙂
Yes!
I agree with the number 1 pick. I was on holiday in London, one night we were walking passed a pub and Living on a Prayer came on and literally everything stopped and everyone in the pub and on the street started singing along at full volume. People of all races and ages rocking out, it was awesome! It was like time had stood still during that song and as soon as it ended it was like time started again and we all started walking and going about our business. I've never experienced anything like it before or since. Surreal yet amazing experience that I will never forget.
Life should be lived as though you're in a musical ...
"I want it that way"!!!!!!!!!!!
RIGHT?! Like how does this list even exist without that song???
Omg yes!!! Or even Everybody
It was number 5. Number 5 killed my brother!
@@Stringboiler oh my god, I forgot about that part!
Oh please no
What about Bohemian Rapsody?
Or We will rock you/we are the Champions?
Or 8675-309?
It goes 8675309999999999999999999999!😂😂😂😂
I can sing along to a few lyrics, but not all.
Don't You (Forget About Me) - Simple Minds
Every time I hear Don’t Stop Believin’ I can’t help but to sing the entire song I won a talent contest for singing it as well got the whole crowd cheering 🎉
Might need to do a top 40, not sure even 20 will do! Not going to argue with this list, though. I would add: Y.M.C.A., Yellow Submarine, Piano Man, Take Me Home Country Roads, Take On Me. And I leave you to the unenviable task of picking one Queen song: Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, or We Are the Champions. 😮 Good luck with that.
Do Ya Think I'm Sexy or Maggie May by Rod Stewart? "Scaramouche, Scaramouche" would lose me, and I would need to hear "little silhouette of a man" or, be a bit behind on the lyrics.
@@alyceclover Good to see someone remembered Rod Stewart. I was in college when Maggie May came out and every time it came on the radio, I'd stop studying to sing along. Great song by a great singer.
"Black Velvet" (1989) - Alannah Myles
Alannah Myles= Yum!!!!!
Walkin in Memphis, Elvira, Ghost riders... are all earworms too
Was Gold included as a joke? I've never even heard that song. The only song I know by them is True. How Bohemian Rhapsody, Tainted Love or Take On Me didn't make the honorable mentions before that is odd to me.
Gold was a much bigger hit in the UK than the US.
I never heard it either.
I remember the song, but seriously? Who dug that up?
So I'm not they only person who has never heard this 'Gold' song before?!?
exactly.....who?
Living on a Prayer is a song that is still so good to sing to
I've never been a fan of this song... but I still sing it, lol, damn earworm.
Amen
I don't know about anyone else, but Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship and Oh, Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison are definitely up there for me.
I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers, for sure - especially here in Scotland! It's a song guaranteed to get us all on our feet over here, especially for the DAH-DAH-DA-DAHHH bits.
In Canada-da-da-dah too!
So true! 😊
Sweet Caroline is the Red Sox Anthem, After the Boston Marathon Bombings, Neil Diamond flew all the way from LA to Boston Spontaneously to perform the song in Fenway Park 🙌🏼
Simply the best - Tina Turner
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
You're the voice - John Farhnam
Freedom! '90 - George Michael
I'm gonna be (500 miles) - The proclaimers
Friends in Low places - Garth Brooks
Two of those are on my list too - Simply the Best (and she was - RIP Tina) and 500 Miles by The Proclaimers
Had me right up until Low Places, which I place very low - not a fan of GB (Troyal - he has never been "royal" to me ... Others in that timeframe, IMHO, were better ... But, hey - that's just me ...
Proud Mary ~ Tina
Crazy Little Thing Called Love ~ Queen
Last Christmas ~ George Michael
Wake Me Up Before You Go Go ~ Wham
~ Queen & Tina had other tunes that I can sing along to
As far as C & W ~ Hank Williams tunes ~ "why don't ya love me like you used to do" ~
I'd love to see Pour Some Sugar on Me on a top 20 list!
YES!
Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves
I thought that one would be on the list too
Livin' on a Prayer always cheers me up.
Same!!!
Life Is A Highway was originally sung and also written by Canadian Tom Cochran who use to have a band in the 70’s,80’s called Red Rider. Other songs are Lunatic Fringe, and Big League.
Sharen
Gotta admit, I sang along to most of these. Except for Gold. I've never even heard of it.
Same.
Spandau Ballet....one of their best songs!!!
Rick Springfield and Steve Perry......sigh and Bryan Adams Michael and the Black Eyed-Peas. Bon Jovi The 80's were so gooood.
Every time I hear "Walk Like an Egyptian" by the Bangles, I find myself not only singing along but dancing, too! 😊
Oh Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, hey Mickey!!!!
Toni Basil for the WIN ! "She got the moves" as well - a choreographer extrordinaire ...
❤!!! Makes me want to watch "Brimg it On" again
I do not like it, but hard not to sing along.
Love the original of “life is a highway “
Tom Cochrane
Kungfu Fighting (Carl Douglas)
Drift Away (Dobie Gray)
Lodi (CCR)
Carry on Wayward Son (Kansas)
Alone (Heart)
YMCA (Village People)
One of mine is Jump (Van Halen)
Drift Away is awesome - so soothing and YMCA is a blast to sing along to.
Bad Moon Rising ~ CCR
Citizens of the World ~ Village People
Take It Easy ~ Eagles
And yes, especially on Drift Away.
@@alyceclover Run Through the Jungle - CCR
Random information: Sweet Caroline is wrestler Jon Moxley's go to karaoke song. You can find a video of him singing it here on TH-cam, and he's mentioned it in interviews too.
Top 20 has to include "Uptown Girl", "Walking on Sunshine", and "I'm Hooked on a Feeling"
I say that The Spinners Working My Way Back To You is irresistible
Cool classic!
A lot of Spinners and O'Jays songs ~ For the Love of Money or Money for Nothing, Dire Straits.
Rubberband Man - The Spinners.
Def Leppard- Pour Some Sugar On Me,
Aersosmith- Walk This Way,
Huey Lewis and The News- Heart of Rock 'n Roll.,
Bob Segars- Old Time Rock 'n' Roll and
Joan Jett and te Blackhearts- I Love Rock 'n' Roll
I love singing along with "Don't Stop Believing", so much so, that my shower head is very impressed with me! 🚿😂
You forgot “I Want It That Way”
Jefferson Starship "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" deserves to be on this list!
So many songs belong on this list ~ Helen Reddy, Pat Benatar, Blondie, Linda Ronstadt, Motown/Philly, Bob Marley, Beatles, Fats Domino ~ endless list of singalong songs.
Definitely Billie Jean. Happy sunday morning, Rebecca. Take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia to you as well.
We're not gonna take it. by Twisted Sister
This list could've been filled w/ just 80s songs, especially rock anthems: You Give Love a Bad Name, Pour Some Sugar on Me, Rock You Like a Hurricane, Eye of the Tiger, Sweet Child o' Mine, Juke Box Hero, The Final Countdown, etc...
You are so right
Beasts of Burden? 1950s had a lot of sing-along songs, as did Motown, the Beatles, 1990s. I do not know about the 2000s. The older I get the less I like new music. It all sounds the same; and Gantsa rap is a far cry from Rapper's Delight.
@@alyceclover "...Gantsa rap is a far cry from Rapper's Delight..."
YES!...Say it again, and louder so the people in the back can hear you. In my opinion, the music of the 60's makes the stuff we have today pale in comparison. The rise of Rap has caused otherwise reasonably talented up-and-coming singers to get lazy and that has led to a general downturn in the quality of music.
"Margaritaville" has to be one of the top also.
Celebration! Kool and the Gang! But I must not be singing along to the same songs as everyone else because I liked the honorable mentions more than I liked the first part of the list
Ooh...I would add September by Earth Wind and Fire!
@@alisonh2112 Ladies Night, Johanna have me singing along. Ditto September, but also also Sing A Song and Shinning Star. And what happened to Madonna? Maybe Papa Don't Preach. Cher's Do You Believe in Love?
Don't Stop Me Now - Queen or Here I Go Again - Whitesnake
I love Don't Stop Me Now but oandora has been way over playing it lately
Do not know the first, but, yeah I singalong to Here I Go Again.
How about Aretha - RESPECT, Billy Joel- Piano Man, Bryan Adams-Summer of 69, and you have to include Queen and Abba, Take Me Home Country Roads, and if you are looking for songs everyone sings along to you can easily include Take this Job and Shove it, and Dolly Parton - Nine to Five
The Temptations "My Girl"? Queen "We Will Rock You"?
Papa was a Rolling Stone - The Temptations.
I have never heard the song Gold and like another comment said True was the only song I remember by that artist. The other songs I agree with just in a different order. I was surprised that Oh Mickey you’re so fine you blow my mind” Girls just want to have fun, Summer Lovin from the movie Grease,I had the time of my life from Dirty Dancing Roseanna by Toto weren’t on the list. Given it’s hard to only pick 10 songs. Definitely need a list for twenty.
More than a feeling-Boston???
Even the dad in "The Middle" couldn't resist this one.
My all time favourite song
These are all such fantastic and Catchy songs and I will always sing along to them whenever they come on ❤️❤️😄
This list was practically begging for an entry by ABBA. They wrote some of the catchiest hooks in the history of pop music.
Mama Mia!
@@flowerfaeri Take a Chance on Me
Honey, honey
Alejandro
Dancing queen
Money, money, money
Little known fact… there are two types of people in the world, those who love ABBA and those who are afraid to admit they love ABBA
@@osu4mul8r"Protestants Hate Abba" - Orla, Derry Girls
Yakko’s Nations of the World should be on the list. I mean some people tried without looking at the lyrics on the screen.
Talk about an earworm!
Botswana!
Being a teen in the 80's means several of these are always ready to be sung but I disagree with some of the others on this list. Where is Queen? We Will Rock You? Bohemian Rhapsody?
Crazy Little Thing Called Love? I think my kids were teens in the '80s.
Another one bites the dust too?
Is this the real life..
If that line is not enough to make you sing then you better start questioning your life decisions.
How that song is not on here is beyond me
The original version of Life is a Highway By Tom Cochrane is the best one.
I was at my school when a club began singing at a Valentine's Day assembly. And the last song was Livin On A Prayer. I IMMEDIATELY began singing along, and so did the entire school! Now when i hear the song on my radio I ALWAYS sing the part that the club sang!
That’s awesome! I would do the same I love Bon Jovi so much
Thing is, Don't Stop Believin' waa the final song played at my wedding reception. Because I AM a small town girl, and my husband IS a city boy. We were singing along, loudly, whilst my Mum looked at us like we were crazy...
Separate Ways for me.
Living On A Prayer is/was the number one of the 80. And it still rocks to this day. Long live Bon Jovi forever!!
While all the song on this list are great, I have to add, walk like an Egyptian, walking on sunshine, dancing queen, bohemian rhapsody, we will rock you, wagon wheel, kungfu fighting, and many others. Honestly I don’t even think a top 50 would be enough
I'd rather listen to Steve Perry's awesome voice sing anything. My voice, personally would just ruin the moment!😄😁😝
I would've given honorable mention to...
Margaritaville: Jimmy Buffett (Salt! Salt!)
Lean On Me: Bill Withers
Bohemian Rhapsody: Queen (Piano and Guitar included)
They should have been on the list, not just honorable mentions!
So many good choices, GREAT songs mentioned here, and I love them all (well, most). But for me the hook has to come in the first couple of notes, way before the singing starts so that you're singing with the first line. So for me it would be something like Come On, Eileen or The Devil Went Down to Georgia. You're humming it even before you're singing it.
Funny story with Livin' on a Prayer. Around the time the newest Rock Band game came out and they had in store demos, me and a friend went to check it out and the guy singing couldn't sing worth a lick and everyone was complaining. So my turn came up and I chose that song. I turned around after and had a crowd gathered and the poor guy looked like, "Damn, she's better than me!"
Yet I almost thought "Sexy and I Know It" would've made it too.
That is funny; and I sing along to "Sexy and I Know It" "Do You Think I's Sexy," Rod Stewart. "Love Bizarre," and where is Pince on this list. "Purple Rain," anyone.
Jump by Van Halen
Gosh, I feel old now! Listening to those songs and seeing the videos made for them reminds me that Im not sweet 16 in 1980 but a Grandma who's turning 60 later this year, but those were the days and the music was amazing! I was also reminded that the hot heart throbs in those videos are men and women in their 60's and 70s, or they're already dead. Balding, fat, and probably broke and on their 3rd marriage. I'll stop now because it's oh so depressing!
I noticed that most of them were 80's or earlier.
You are never "old" - as old is a state of mind ... Never surrender to age at any state/stage - stay engaged & curious with a never ending zest for LIFE ! My state of mind is that of delusion - and my state is FL- as that, for me, really is a "State" of mind ... And when I am 104, I will continue to say I am "getting older - never old" ...
‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ played near mile 13 of a marathon…..half-way there!
Let the sunshine. Let the sunshine. Let the sunshine. The sunshine in.
Better known as "Age Of Aquarius."
All these songs are so great.
John Farnham's 'You're The Voice' is an impossible one to not join in to.
I know that song from the version Heart did. Still catchy no matter what!
I loved that clip from "The Office" where Michael started singing the wrong song! 🤣
At least he was in the right decade!
@@christineobrien7707 😁😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Most of this list being from the 90's and earlier speaks volumes about which era of music was the best.
Or who the person is making the list. I would guess that most of today's kids would make a different list.
I Will Survive is my go-to karaoke song! The dance for Staying Alive will always rock! And Living On A Prayer....c"mon! That'll rule FOREVER ❤
Nice list. I would include "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbey" from Steam, "Hey Jude" from "The Beatles" and "The Bard's Song (In The Forrest)" from "Blind Guardian" into the Top 20 List. Start the first two songs in a Stadium (American Footbal, Soccer or Basketball) and half of the Stadium will sing it with you. When you start singing the third one during a Heavy Metal Festival and the whole crowd will start to sing it to. Some people claim that, on a silent night on the fields of Wacken, you can still hear the crowd from their Concert in 2016 singing "The Bard's Song".
First two definitely, do not know the third.
We are the champions/We will rock you and Satisfaction
eight days a week, Lucy in the sky and Hey Jude are just a few of the Beatles songs that are great sing-a-long songs. That is what made them so popular. But for me personally there are many songs that I love to sing along to: two out of three aint bad, keep on loving you, fox on the run and so on.
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Teach Your Children.
Instead of Staying Aline, you can do CPR to Another One Bites the Dust. When I took the CPR class, the nurse told me never to sing that song again while giving CPR. LOL
deffo hey ya by outkast
I don't think I've ever even heard of Gold before....and personally the only songs mentioned that I can't resist belting out are Livin On A Prayer, Don't Stop Believing and Jessie's Girl.
a few other songs impossible for me to resist singing along to:
Never Gonna Give You Up- Rick Astley
The Touch- Stan Bush
The Power Of Love- Huey Lewis & the News
basically the entire soundtrack to Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Once More With Feeling
the DuckTales theme song
The Saga Begins ( even if the song playing is American Pie.... )
Running Home To You from the musical episode of The Flash
Waiting For A Girl Like You- Foreigner
I want To Know What Love Is- Foreigner
the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song
Simple & Clean- Utada Hikaru
Wanted Dead Or Alive- Bon Jovi
Oops...I Did It Again- Britney Spears
Searching My Soul- Vonda Shepard
Chances Are- Vonda Shepard and Robert Downey Jr
the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song
Superman- Goldfinger
Holding Out For A Hero- Bonnie Tyler
the original Pokemon anime theme song
T.U.R.T.L.E. Power- Partners In Kryme
Ninja Rap- Vanilla Ice
the DK Rap from Donkey Kong 64
Don't You Forget About Me- Simple Minds
You're The Inspiration- Chicago
Levitating- Dua Lipa
Men In Black- Will Smith
Never heard. GOLD😅
I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston would have been one I would've wanted to pick.
But REALLY hard for most of us to sing well!
Yay Bon Jovi. Excellent song. Plus he’s gorgeous!
NEVER heard that song called GOLD
Party In The U.S.A. never fails to make me dance and sing along at the top of my lungs
I say for the BIGGER LIST; Eye of the tiger ( survivor ), Bohemian Rhapsody ( Queen), We are the champions (Queen), Dead Man's Party ( Oingo Boingo), Sledgehammer ( Peter Gabriel)
Like some others have commented, Bohemian Rhapsody (by Queen) is one. Here I Go Again (particularly the '87 version) by Whitesnake is one for me.
Steve Perry....No auto tune.....................No BS ..JUST PURE TALENT Playing Journey in my car ATM. Perry is the voice of a generation....
When we were kids our aunt Caroline used to tell us Sweet Caroline was written and sung about her and yes, we believed her lol. My favorite Bon Jovi song is Wanted Dead or Alive, they even used it as the theme song for Deadliest Catch for quite a few seasons.
Take On Me should definitely be on this list.
Yay , Stayin Alive! Awesome!
Great work!
My number 1 would 100% be livin la vida loca by Ricky Martin. Heard it once, sing along everytime now
MsMojo, you guys should definitely do a Top 20 Songs That Are Impossible to Sing Along To. I have a couple of examples of songs that should be mentioned.
Examples:
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Miley Cyrus - Party in the U.S.A.
ABBA - Dancing Queen
Whitesnake - Here I Go Again
R.E.M. - It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
The Temptations - My Girl
Toto - Africa
Village People - Y.M.C.A.
Kansas - Carry on My Wayward Son
OutKast - Hey Ya
Taylor Swift - Shake It Off
Survivor - Eye of the Tiger
The Beatles - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

Selena Quintanilla - Bidi Bidi Bom Bom
Yakko's Nations of the World (Animaniacs)
Kool & the Gang - Celebration
I have no problems singing along to several of these
What???!!!
No Boston???!!!!!
YOU try "More Than A Feeling" at karaoke the next time you go.
I'll bet your voice cracks when the song comes to, "She slipped awaaaaay ah hay hay."
I can't even do it right EVERY time, but I CAN do it right about 70%!!!!
You forgot "Your Love" by the Outfield. Once you hear "Jodie's on a vacation," it's hard not to start singing.
What about "My Love" by Petula Clark, "Black Water" by The Doobie Brothers, "Delta Dawn" by Helen Reddy, and Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey by Paul McCartney?
Great choices you have there. I'd also throw in Downtown by Petula. Not only do you love singing to it, it puts you in a good mood& leaves a smile on your face!😀😎👍👍
Yes ahaha you actually put Taylor Swift’s shake it off on here too 😁 I grew up to all of these songs bon jovi, black eyed peas and the killers mr bright side too are who I love. I’d also say that Paramores still into you is a banger. You’ve got a great taste in music Rebecca ! 🫶🏻
Okay, here is a short list:
"We Don't Talk About Bruno" - probably the only song where you can pick a part if the song and it works just as well when you blend it all together at the end.
"Take on Me" - everyone will try to hit a note in range
"Africa" - everyone loves the chorus by Toto
"We're Not Gonna Take It" - the anthem of a generation.
"Bad Romance" - Everyone joins in when you hear the opening.
Piano man-billy Joel, pretty woman - Roy Orbison, crocodile rock- Elton John, joy to the world - three dog night,
Yup. So many songs will get people singing along ~ even ones we do not particularly like.
Lou Christie, ":Lightning Strikes Me Again" ~ can not believe I ever liked that song. Piped in music hear it often, do not sing it aloud, but can not stop singing along as lyrics play in my mind.
Speaking of Kenny Loggins, we gotta talk about "Danger Zone"
Anytime I hear it I go into full on belting mode 😂
Heck yeah! Top 10 songs you can't help singing along to! Yeah!
*Number 9 plays*
...er...I don't know this one
I remember going to a few parties and dances....after some people had a drink or two...or three, attempting 'One Of These Nights' by The Eagles. Needless to say, the attempt at the high notes was pretty funny.
I just made a playlist here on TH-cam of all these songs!!! 🙂
You had me at Bon Jovi being #1
SAME!!! 😍😍😍
