It's a game engine video, the cinematics in the actual game are stunning. Cinematics are pretty much all that's good about the game in its current state, to be frank.
Agree! The worst thing in D3 is that two "naked" lvl 60 chars have the exact same stats! In D2 u would have 2 unique chars, for instance you could have 2 wizards specialized in fire and cold, with completely different stats and able to wear completely different gear.. Imagine how cool the game would have been if they made each gamer able to specialize their chars even more this time.. It's a shame they didn't..
The target market is for the previous players and without even getting into the concept of everyday players, the fanbase behind all of Blizzard's games is in the millions which means that even without any new players, Blizzard would still make back everything that it has spent. The story in itself is a continuation of the original games and it is already deep enough as is to have plenty of fans. As for graphics, it could look like a million dollars but it means nothing if it plays like 50 cents.
Blizz didnt added stat system to make things over complicated, for me, its ok. But stats should be resettable, allowing us to remake our char. (I wouldnt mind resetting 90 level stats would take longer then leveling a new character to 90) . Yet, i raged when i heard there was no talent tree system, Talent tree are the main thing on HacknSlash, how they wouldnt make such important thing
If they were so intent on being money hungry, they would not have delayed the game for so long. They could have given us a half baked version and cashed in on it early, delaying it could have risked losing customers. As for the raids, they are part of the game. Sure you can kill Jaina but its not considered canon. While you bitch about it as much as you want, even more players would bitch if you could not fight her at all. Sigh, can't please them all, as they say.
Of course they cater to new players. Expanding the market is something of a given. But WoW is an MMO, I see no reason for them not to just stick to one storyline. However, you would not find much in this game that would contradict the previous one. As for SC2, they do keep the story largely intact. You really seem to be nitpicking but it doesn't change the fact that a majority of you complainers are still going to buy the game.
I hope the cinematics in the full released game don't look anything like this. I know this is only a beta video, but I was expecting much MUCH better from Blizzard. Look like WoW may have had a large influence on the graphics of Diablo III... This is a recipe for disaster.
ya but diablo 1 and 2 are the same just new map and characters i remember when i first saw mephisto i about crapped my pants but i havent played diablo 3 yet i hope it isnt as much of a disappointment as you say its.
Graphics have never the main objective of Blizzard. In fact, most of their games are well below the graphic capabilities of most of the games of today. But if you judge a game simply for looking unimpressive in terms of flash, I think we have a troll on our hands. Have a nice day.
