What happened to the intro where you climb out of the cave? Is this the new intro that will be the same on release or was it tailor made for Beta only?
Yeah these two replies ^ are right, but also that was a pre release build from almost 4 years ago, so things have probably changed a bit since then. From what Ive heard though, there will be alot of in game cinematics with our character. So its probably going to be there.
At first I thought this is a pretty poor cinematic but then realized a minute in it's in-game (yes Idk how to read). The horror vibes and sense of dread is pretty strong.
Agreed. We are a level 1 loser and it is supposed to be lower fantasy than D3. It seems a fitting start. I hope we won't end up wiping hordes of enemies in one second.
Kinda meeh... In the other games every character had its motivation (d1, d2 and even lame d3) for their journey, thats why they were so relentless ... If this is the intro to our character, a scary wanderer, they started with the wrong foot... Said that, tecnichally it looks gorgeous and gritty , just like a d game must look like
@@lordwarcraft666 It looks way too young. Besides blizzard said back in 2021 that no archangel (besides Inarius) will have a major rol in the plot game
I'm confused. What are you talking about? Where does it say we won't have a motivation? I just think it's a bit early to say we won't have a motivation because it doesn't have to be established immediately just because the other games did so. I also don't think it would make a lot of sense to do that anyway because our character is more of a mercenary if I understand it correctly (which means the motivationis selfserving), whereas in past games, our character started off as a hero right out the gate.
Honestly its fantastic, amazing cinematic work from the team they deserve all the praise and I can't wait seeing these in realtime with my own character! I just have one question, why is this not uploaded in 4k?!!!
@Jackinthe Box I disagree for the sole reason that this was made using the in-game engine. You can complain all you want but I think the choice to use the same engine for everything makes the game look and feel more consistent as a whole.
@@balkoddara You clearly have 0 ideas of what you'r talking about as it got nothing to do with cost but more of a design direction which place the player character at the core of the story with the cinematics. So, the main character in the initial cinematic release for Diablo 4 was a black dude. Then the second main release was a black woman priest and this latest one is another black dude. If wokeness sacrifices quality, then your arguments have some weight. However, the first Lilith cinematic is regarded as one of the best in recent years. If you put away your nostalgia goggles (or bigotry bifocals) you might find something better than D2.
@@AlexandreBackes But try to stay on topic. You replied to a comment just saying the cinematic reminds of them of D2. He's just talking about the cinematic. You say it's generic, you don't like the woman bad guy, the black hero, and don't want trans in the game. Can you see how this comes across as the crazy grandpa at the dinner table? I don't like like our snowflake culture either, but Christ dude.
@@AlexandreBackes Now you're just insulting my intelligence. When you say bigoted stuff in real life, do you also say "I'm just making observations?"
You complain the cinematic is generic, then immediately follow up by saying it also has women's empowerment, a black guy, and "the sorc is just missing an adam's apple.. what will be next? sealing?" Anyone with half a brain knows you are complaining, not making observations. Most bigots would just delete the comment by now. The fact that you actually think you can defend your words means you're not just a bigot, you're also not a very bright one.
@@AlexandreBackes d1 had a black wizard. Your masterpiece D2 had a black paladin. Why weren't you upset that they were forcing progressiveness on you then?
I actually don't like forcing diversity but only when it actually makes a difference (worse actors, or it's a constant distraction). Otherwise, it's just racism. One character just happens to be black and it changes nothing. And he's just your in game character, so you can make all your characters white as snow white so you don't have to make any racist "observations" in your cutscenes.
Why do you think change is automatically bad? It makes you sound like an old grandpa already. Just play D2 until you're too old to see your character. Quit trying to ruin people's excitement with your needless "observations."
Ohhhh the ravens at the start! Now you know it's gonna be good!!
I prefer seeing my created character over pre-made cinematics. I get they are higher quality, but I play for the immersion, so I really like this change.
I was thinking the same thing. But given that it's an in-game cinematic, I bet you choose your character and then get to see them go through that same cinematic. Especially with the seamless transition right into the game at the end.
We'll get both actually :D
Yooo, what a intro. I hope this game keeps the terror suspense to the game play.

its a crime that they make these incredible cinematics in 1080p
don't worry, this is an in-game one that'll render as high res as your screen in the actual game. But yeah ridiculous they're releasing these in 1080p still.
At least the Upscale channel on YT is doing (actual good) AI upscales of Blizzard's cinematics. The "By Three They Come" trailer looks incredible at 4k

it's a in game cinematic for after you make your character, so it looks fine stop trying to tear something apart you don't even know what the finish product will look like smh
What happened to the intro where you climb out of the cave? Is this the new intro that will be the same on release or was it tailor made for Beta only?
The one from the original gameplay reveal. I think that was much later in the game. Wasn't that in Scosglen? The game starts at the fractured peaks.
I think that comes later, the character wasn't lvl 1 anymore, so it wasn't the start cinematic.
Yeah these two replies ^ are right, but also that was a pre release build from almost 4 years ago, so things have probably changed a bit since then.
From what Ive heard though, there will be alot of in game cinematics with our character. So its probably going to be there.
Did you guys render this on lowest settings possible? The quality looks like it was filmed with a potato. Definitely not 1080p.
Hopefully the game will have more monster density
Less monsters but much more dangerous actually. So more tactical combat. I think its great this way imo.
What cool about these is character you create, custom created, shows up during these cutscenes.
What's even cooler this the wolf that kills your horse is probably mephisto
At first I thought this is a pretty poor cinematic but then realized a minute in it's in-game (yes Idk how to read). The horror vibes and sense of dread is pretty strong.
Item shop teaser when?
Week after release.
Sets the tone very well. Looking forward to this game!

Said that, tecnichally it looks gorgeous and gritty , just like a d game must look like
I think that wanderer is Tyrael
@@lordwarcraft666
It looks way too young.
@@lordwarcraft666 It's not Tyrael, they said during the interview that's its a custom player character.
I feel the exact oposite. I feel a sense of mystery instead of being force fed the developers goal I want to see what this leads to.
they really have lowered the quality of their cinematics don't they?
Honestly its fantastic, amazing cinematic work from the team they deserve all the praise and I can't wait seeing these in realtime with my own character!
I just have one question, why is this not uploaded in 4k?!!!
It's terribly sub-par to what Blizzard could come up with years ago. This is just trivial.
For some reason Blizzard doesn't seem to upload anything in 4k. Do they not realize a lot of people watch these things on 65" TVs?
@Jackinthe Box I disagree for the sole reason that this was made using the in-game engine. Yeah, the D3 cinematics were better, but the massive difference between gameplay and cinematics was really annoying for me personally. You can complain all you want but I think the choice to use the same engine for everything makes the game look and feel more consistent as a whole.
The are ingame because it is cheaper to produce. Absolutely horrendous quality for a Blizzard intro cinematic.
@@balkoddara You clearly have 0 ideas of what you'r talking about as it got nothing to do with cost but more of a design direction which place the player character at the core of the story with the cinematics. More than design its also a narrative choice.
I add up, I prefer a thousand time this direction of seeing my character part of it than pre-rendered CGI that I eventually will know by heart and just skip.

Gone truly is the older Blizzard, or "Blizzard Proudly Presents" With Dramatic music and tons of Action, or just a Trailer of amazing Story telling. This is Modern Gaming, and it completely Blows just like this Trailer.
So, the main character in the initial cinematic release for Diablo 4 was a black dude. Then the second main release was a black woman priest and this latest one is another black dude. So every major character in every separate trailer is black for a game no doubt must be 95% white males. I don't think I can play this game since its such a misrepresentation of its audience and of the population as a whole. Its difficult for me to envision myself in a game where I am not represented... at least that's all I've heard from Hollywood and the left for the last 5 years with every piece of media that has been released. This must be Diablo's attempt to recover from the sexual abuse scandals. Some Activision Board Room loser- "We can't treat women right but we can stuff our cinematics with minorities and virtue signal to everyone we are good".

I had a conversation at work a few weeks back about playing the beta vs waiting for the full release. What is everyone's thoughts? Does playing the beta ruin some of the hype towards the release or do you just want to get your hands on it as much as you can?
An early access sneak peak is only cool when the full release is like a year later but not just a couple of months. So yeah, it kinda does take away from the launch day experience
Personally I'll use the opportunity to check out all available classes to see if I might want to start with something different than my standard Barbarian at full release. 😅
