@@TesisPeter Monn made a video about FDA and sponsorships. I didn’t understand at first either, but after watching his video (Amazon and Jaclyn Hill I believe) it gave me a better understanding of FDA and companies and who sponsors their products.

I don’t understand why companies spend money on individuals that edit all their pictures. She literally edits her pictures to the point where she looks like a completely different individual. They might as well spend their coins investing in their own computer generated influencer. I trust influencers that have a small following. It’s when they turn big that money gets the best of them.

Edit: if nothing else, she serves as a good litmus test for which brands are happy to act shady, and which ones (like Maybelline) are gonna insist she disclose accurately and properly.

back in 2021, i bought a packet of pastel liquid eyeliners she recommended on tiktok. I thought since she had so many followers she knew what she was talking about. cut to the eyeliners arriving - the formula was super thick and immediately flaked off. worst makeup product ive ever bought - took her recommendations with a grain of salt after that
