Lightning is an electrical discharge caused by imbalances between storm clouds and the ground, or within the clouds themselves. To learn more, read on here: on.natgeo.com/2IqDxtK

Tornadoes although rare, do happen in Australia. Thunderstorms are usually active in the southern Australian states from November through summer but can occur anytime. In the northern tropics such as the northern territory, thunderstorms occur from November to April as part of the wet season.
This is also the time of what us Australians call the cyclone season.

One of my two favorite sounds is the roar is lightning (there's also such a thing as a hail roar), and also the infamous NWS weather warning sound. I for some reason get super excited when a severe storm or supercell comes, around. The power is exhilarating and awe inspiring. It's unfortunate that the strongest of storms can lead to terrible damage and suffering.

I always enjoy thunderstorms especially during the spring where the weather is nice so I get to have the windows open and listen to it during the night and helps me fall asleep really good 🌩🌩🌩😴💤💤

I live in Texas and they're most common during the spring. But when I visit southeastern states they're more common during the summer and pop up randomly in the afternoon.

I love thunderstorms so much but i live in california so we get like 1 or 2 per year lol. Also the roar right before hail starts, is the best sound ever, maybe even better than thunder rumbling

Once I was outside and it was a bit of raining., suddenly a splendour light came to me from thunderstorms.( it was just light ) ..I collapsed, I thought it would be my last movement, got so scared. ...
After that incident ,in rainy season I don't go out
