Thunderstorms are so cool, so calming. My mind is constantly racing with random thoughts and I have trouble stopping to focus on things but it seems that whenever there's a thunderstorm occuring, my mind clears itself, and I finally feel at peace
If you're reading this, I hope that day comes real soon where your wildest dreams come true. Where you finally feel that you are at peace with yourself and your surroundings. May your life be full of joy, strength, light, and ease. May you lead a life full of positivity and greatness. You got this.
Tornadoes although rare, do happen in Australia. Thunderstorms are usually active in the southern Australian states from November through summer but can occur anytime. In the northern tropics such as the northern territory, thunderstorms occur from November to April as part of the wet season. This is also the time of what us Australians call the cyclone season.
in north nsw, thunderstorm season starts september and last through march/april. October and November typically has strong storms. we even had a tornado last october that damaged a few houses
One of my two favorite sounds is the roar is lightning (there's also such a thing as a hail roar), and also the infamous NWS weather warning sound. I for some reason get super excited when a severe storm or supercell comes, around. The power is exhilarating and awe inspiring. It's unfortunate that the strongest of storms can lead to terrible damage and suffering.

I like thunderstorms as long as I'm in my house and thunderstorms that aren't violent. I love thunderstorm days because that's when it's the most fun days to watch movies or play video games.
Thunderstorms are the environment keeper just like hurricanes. Although they had brought a lot of disaster to communities, they had maintained the balance between electricity and planet. I think nature is the natural creator on the Earth.

@@stephensnell1379 that's true but it really depends on the storm. If the winds are heavy but not damaging, the rain is not flooding, and lightning only strikes within the clouds and not to the ground, those type of storms are nice and peaceful
First and Foremost, thanks NatGeo for sharing such a priceless information. Secondly, for me one the best natural events that can exist. Whenever I imagine a storm or see a one, I wish I could be able to be laying down on my warm and comfortable bed. :)
btw they dont always grow above a surface of water, most of the times when its a hot day they occur most of the times on a hot surface such in tornado alley where they reach cape values above 5000 j/kg, so especially in spring and summer theyre mostly common on land instead of sea, ocean or lake
"And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee. And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female." - Genesis 6:17-19

Thunder is not the sound of lightning breaking the sound barrier it is the sudden expansion of hot air around the lightning
Which is basic knowledge.
How they got this wrong, I'm not quite sure.
Adam Bice and considering it is national geographic who made the video is even worse
That should make you question everything they state as fact.
