Even with EQ I couldn’t make them sound like they normally do, especially the stealth pro. The materials you use I imagine are less expensive and selling them for premium prices. Buy stock pads from the manufacturer guys, or if you want a cloth material, buy a headset that comes with them and is tuned with that in mind! Different dimensions of pads, thickness, width will mess with the tune that was not in the minds of the manufacturer. Buy at your own risk, believe me wicked cushions aren’t doing you any favors. Even if my original pads fell apart I’m buying oem, only if the manufacturer doesn’t provide replacements. Sounds like I’m being harsh, I’m just being brutally honest.
You're one of the only youtubers who I trust 100 percent when it comes to unbiased review. Been following you since 9k subs. I'm in the market for a new headset and was considering this one but I think I'll go with the A50 gen 5 since the Alienware had a horrible mic. Thanks for the great work Joe
Thanks so much! Astro Gen 5 is going to be a good pick if it performs the same as the X but for less money. I just received one but still have to test it out

Hey guys...thinking of buying it. How is the clamp force? I like a good clamp force...the earlier steelseries headset i have just slips off if I'm moving my head..
@@engineering_guy Will greatly depend on your head size but for me (egg shaped head) the clamp force is ideal. I never have to fear it falling off, but it isn't too tight either. I can feel a bit of pressure on my jaw, but for me it is not uncomfortable.
Dang man I'm glad I found your channel I hope that once you blow up you still have this unbiased format. Also the BIGGEST thing as a consumer is the comparisons to others in its price range. I'm leaning heavily towards the Auze Maxwell because I'm mostly here for music and rpg games and SOMETIMES get competitive and want to hear footsteps. I can sort that out myself as long as its close enough. I'm using Corsair HS70 with pinpoint accuracy, not sure if its the 7.1 or something else doing that but I would assume maxwells can at least do that I would be fine.
Man, your reviews are so good, many, much more popular reviews could lean a lot from your way of doing things. Fact based, to the point, honest and not afraid of saying that some parts of the products are actually bad. Please keep on doing what you are doing, it is highly appreciated 👍 And I'm not even into gaming gear, im here because im a headphone enthusiast. Looking forward to more reviews 🙏
I'll never understand why companies don't watch channels like yours to determine what the customer base WANTS instead of making a subpar product, giving it a name like "MAX" or "PRO," and slapping a $300+ price tag on it. Not having a 3.5mm jack, game-chat mix, or being unable to save your EQ at this price point is crazy.
Right on the money and straight to the point. I got the virtuoso xt for 160$ on amazon prime day for me thats a great value (the only problem I have is the battery does not last at all) all reviews I saw today about the virtuoso max addressed the same problems im not sure why corsair did not look at this before release makes no sense to get horrible reviews for little thinks that are so simple to fix and all because released now we don't care is all about $$ and a higher price tag.
One other thing Joe, for low dynamic mics, that would be great to see is different volume levels, that clipping was pretty aggressive, I was wondering what 50 or 55% mic volume would have sounded like. If it would clean it up or not. I know you already put a lot into your videos and am grateful for it, regardless you are hands down the best reviewer out there! Thanks again Joe!
Great review as always Joe! I always love the depth of your reviews! Imo I love this headset! I haven't had any of the volume issues because i turned sleep mode off. If i want to mic monitor myself i just use transparency mode. Also the sound ID transformed the sound to excellent for me. As for the pads, i don't wear glasses so they are really comfy. Thank you!
That's great! It's so hard to have some issues with it, and we value different issues differently. I think this has the potential to be one of the best once they sort out just a couple gotchas. The volume issue and sidetone for me are the most important things to address first. SoundID was indeed amazing.
@@GadgetryTech 💯 Agree Joe! You are one of the best to do it, so in depth n touch on areas that other TH-camrs won’t! Always look forward to your take! Ty!
Thank you for the comparison! I don't know if you were referring to the comment i posted about the Maxwell issue, but it could've been just 2 really unlucky batches (wich obviously shouldn't happen at that price). But it happened at such similar times, and the problems themselves were the same, so it could really be a widespread problem with the drivers.
All good! I've seen that mentioned several times. I promise I'm not ignoring complaints. Audeze sells a TON of that headset. The volume is obsurd, so some people are going to have issues. Same as some other brands. My day 1 Maxwell purchase still works well. I can't use it every single day but it does get used from time to time every month. Still no issues here, but I have no idea if there were just bad batches, bad luck, or something else.
Thanks man! I hope firmware updates solve some of it. They made the HS80 Max mic sound better after a firmware update, so it's always possible. I just wish it launched that way.
Others have already said it innumerable times but you are truly the benchmark for the PC audio gear review scene! That being said, have you heard anything from Fractal Design's upcoming Scape headset? We haven't seen anything of it ever since it was revealed at Computex this summer.
Bought the old version thanks to your review, and I'm pretty happy with them so I'll stick to those for now. I'll keep coming back for the latest and greatest here tho!
For the money, I love the delta 2. Great mic, great side tone, 110hr battery RGB off, 2 sets of pads, lite, clean 96k sample rate and I challenge anyone if they can tell the difference between 2.4ghz dongle and Bluetooth because of the high bandwidth codec they use and it’s simultaneous! For 220 I think it’s a home run! Oh and anything you change is saved to the headset, so changing over to ps5 you are good to go!
Is it better or worse than the beyerdynamic mmx 200. Im looking for a wireless gaming headset that has ANC and i have been searching for nearly 1 month and i found the nova pro corsair virtuoso max, stealth pro and the alienware pro. I may go for steelseries arctis nova pro because i have an arctis 5 and it sounds good for cs2 and other games and music aswell as movies. So i dont see why i shouldnt take the nova pro. I havent had issues with the steeleseries gg software. It just works for me. But im worried that the headset will break or the battery will break after like 3 months of usage. What are your recommendations? Also some say dont get gaming headphones from gaming companies, buy gaming headphones from audio companies and while this is true i think i havent had any issue with the steelseries arctis 5 so idk.
@@waterkey2712 Iv had the nova pros but ended up returning them, for the money they just don’t sound good in my opinion, don’t get me wrong, I hear footsteps great, it doesn’t sound good with music or movies imo, mic is terrible also. MMX 200 you can’t EQ so there is that, if you look at the reviews of those there are a ton of people complaining about connection issues! I own the stealth pros and they are awesome, but get hot on the ears! Mic not great, but for footsteps, they are great! Bluetooth is just meh, they use sbc codec and that’s pretty much bottom tier, good enough for TH-cam but that’s about it. Noise canceling is not that great is pretty hyped, while it works for like a pc fan, it’s nothing like my AirPod 2 pro. It also has a negative effect to the sound of games and music, they don’t sound as dynamic or full so I leave it off. I had the maxwells also but returned them based on the weight, but it is definitely the best sounding wireless headset Iv used, especially for music and movies. But 512g sitting on your head isn’t fun. Delta 2 is just so good because they do everything well in my opinion, I stand my my original post about them. Now for headphones from audio companies sure they will sound better, but then you have to have a separate mic in your face and I always notice it in my vision and it annoys the hell out of me. You can always go for the pc 38x also, but it’s not wireless and it’s an open back
@@Amp_Editiondo you think the virtuoso max is better than the delta 2? Im coming from an arctis 5 and want a wireless option. Those two might be good but dont know.
@@waterkey2712 I don’t have the virtuoso max, so it’s hard to say. All I know is the delta 2 is the best tuned head set out of the box 312g. The virtuoso is 430g, I personally don’t like more than 350g sitting on my head for long periods of time. But it sounds like you are interested in the virtuoso max, get them and try them, if you don’t like them buy the delta 2
Another detailed, brilliant review, thank you. With all these companies moving towards having a headset that can do everything, it made me think back to the B&O Beoplay Portals you reviewed years ago, which I think were probably ahead of their time but also way too expensive. With being able to pick those up for a lot cheaper these days sub 200, how would you stack them up against more modern headsets across music, games, and competitive fps ? Thanks again for the effort and work you do such a great channel.
Great review. Mic quality doesn’t matter to me. It just needs to work. I don’t care how well I sound. Comfort and audio is king. And this is a bit heavy. Also would prefer usb c dongle
Great video! I noticed that the voice prompts for the mic mute does not work unless ICUE is launched so Corsair really needs to fix the software/firmware. Any thoughts on the new Razer Kraken V4 Pro? This is another new release that I have not seen any reviews on. Regardless, truly enjoy all your videos because they are so informative. Please keep up the excellent work!
Thanks! The FR is rough out of the box, but thanks to very low distortion and high power handling, after running SoundID or using my custom parametric EQs, it sounds absolutely amazing. Such a tough place
Lol it's always a balancing act! I'm trying to do my best to be fair and see the good and bad in each product. I'm definitely calling out things I don't like, regardless of brand
Thank you for the objective and subjective take on these headphones. Being new to this, I keep re watching your vids to know more. Keep doing the great work that you do.
@@GadgetryTech been narrowing down my headphone choice between the recent one you've reviewed sir. The FiiO ft1 and the beyerdynamic dt 770 pro x limited edition. It's really hard to choose because of how well your videos are made both subjectively and objectively. I also recently put in my order for the Schiit Gunnr that I've also seen your vid... Just bought these last week and got to try them out for a few days. They were quite uncomfortable and I was not able to wear them for long before my head started to hurt. Good quality build tho, such a shame..
These price points are getting wild. I need 60mm drivers good eq software. 3.5mm wireless zero latency dongle for xlr/mixers for streaming. BT Simu & Suspension headband and Cool gel WC. Thanks Joe.
outside of the sidetone, i have not had any of the mentioned issues. I love the headset so far and the mic in this video sounded way worse than it actually is. Badseed did a test and it sounded way better and so do my internal tests.
It's weird because in initial testing, the mic sounded better from what I recalled. I actually recorded the mic test 4 times on the Max to see what the deal was and no matter what I did, it sounded the same. Lowering the gain helped, but I think there's a clipping point that comes in early, even with low gain. When speaking normally, it sounds good. It runs into issues if you're projecting more loudly. Glad to here you like it otherwise though! There are some great things about it. If you get a chance to use Parametric EQ through Equalizer APO + Peace, let me know what you think of my presets!
welp, you are right lol i did some more tests and for some reason it sounds like it did in this video. it’s a shame cause it’s a really nice looking headset and you would have thought they would have the same mic quality as the virtuoso xts.
I bought the XT when they were new, I had heard they were one of the best if not the best on the market. I didn’t really struggle with comfort even though I wear glasses. Do you think this one is up to the previous model?
Holy crap it's THEE Arthur Morgan Lmao going from plush leather cushion to hard and stiff plastic with little cushion, if you have glasses there's no point getting these until after market cushions get made.
Fantastic review as always, could I please have some advice? So first question would you be able to advise anything that would beat my Maxwell currently? 2nd question......I game on PC with my wife and generally we take turns on a variety of games, I have 2 headphones conected via USB (nova pro wireless and maxwell) I currently use sonar in streamer mode to get audio out to both of our headphones at the same time, IS it possible to use both for the same audio using DOLBY ATMOS? I have pulled my hair out trying to get this working any advice would be massively appreciated 😂
lol. I feel it's a bit harsh but it's partly because I just wanted this to be perfect/amazing in so many ways. In some areas, it's amazing. In others... it needs a little work
@@GadgetryTech I think it's fair. I actually appreciated the point you made at the end. Headsets have gotten so good these days, these companies really need to come with a well thought out and polished product. Charging top of market prices, yet launching with a bunch of bugs AND removing features is crazy.
@@GadgetryTech Do you think all of the issues you mentioned can be corrected through firmware updates? If this had been what we all thought it could be, my search for the perfect headset would be over right now.
Wondering if I just missed it or if it wasn't mentioned, but can you save custom EQ settings to the headset for use on PS5? That was one of the reasons I didn't look any further at the XT (unless that got fixed after the fact). It definitely qualifies as a "good bones" headset though, but those are some pretty disappointing issues/setbacks for a $330 headset. At least here at launch. Hopefully firmware updates can iron these issues out. I do like the look of them overall. Currently using my TB Stealth Gen 2 Max and Audeze Maxwells as my go-tos. So no need to switch things up at this time. Still love watching the videos though! Great job 👌
Thanks! I said it at one point but don't remember the exact part lol. Unfortunately there were no options for me to save custom EQ to the headset. It's run in iCue. Not sure if a firmware update will ever change that, but for now it didn't work.
hey man, just bought the EM6L's because of you and was wondering if you were working on more EQ stuff for other games besides the ones you have in Squigink currently? also, any reason why the quality of my mic is getting affected depending on which EQ preset I use? I use voicemeeter, if that information helps
Not sure if you're gonna even read this comment, but I am between this or the Stealth Pro for gaming, music and movies. The fact that the Stealth Pro has EQ for Bluetooth and consoles is nice, but is it enough? Or is the stock Virtuoso Max better?
Yes I play on ps5 and I use my corsair virtuoso max for them i ordered the ps5 pro it will be ready in three weeks cant wait. i have the astro a50x razer kraken v4 pro wireless nova pro wireless audeze maxwell turtle beach stealth pro wireless turtle beach 700 gen3 audeze maxwell. what is battery life of these? cant find part of video where you talk about it nevermind went to their site to check, its 60 hours, asus rog delta 2 is far superior imo. glad i got them
Would you say that the Audeze Maxwell is the best bluetooth headset for Music Audio? Or it there another Wireless ANC bluetooth audio headset that should be looked at?
Can you just buy a dongle from Corsair to increase the signal range or is it more tied to the internal in the headset? I see they have dongles for sale on their site but I am not sure if it’s the same as what came with the original XT or is it upgraded to the one that comes with the MAX?
I bought a pair of Logitech G PRO X 2. So dissapointed regarding the audio. I returned it. Still looking for a wireless headset with deep bass, good EQ and battery life 😢
What'd you decide on?? I got the hyper x cloud 3s and love em but hate that it doesn't work with my phone- considering these or the Nova pros of course
with the regular astro A50s unless your bass obsessed I still wouldnt go back to that sound profile. Yeah, the bass is cinematic but the old A50s were really weak in the mids and highs. These corsair virtousos if I have to rank them are among Stealth Pros/Artic Nova Pros and they are very clear, somewhat crisp noise. Stealth pros are a smooth noise with lots of duration (from the leather and closed back design) Astros have the chat mix feature but that doesnt overpower not hearing important stuff in games
I was going to buy Audeze Maxwell but saw your video of Corsair Virtuoso released. I like the mic quality and overall design of Corsair more. I had a chance to test Maxwell for short time, I feel them really heavy and bulky, also lacking mid bass and over emphasize highs, but great clarity and sound stage. I want to hear your opinion: not for FPS gaming, but for music listening with EQ setup and ignoring the cost Maxwell or Virtuoso ? Thanks
Hands down corsair virtuoso max ive had mine for three days now and there awesome i use them for my ps5 . And im coming from the astro a50x razer kraken v4 pro wireless nova pro wireless audeze maxwell turtle Beach stealth pro and i like the corsair virtuoso max the best. Corsair virtuoso max if you can afford them you will thank me later stay safe and happy gaming to all
@@jamesstevens968 I see your point, I did not have any issue with maxwell's weight or comfort. However I wonder more sound wise, and not specifically for gaming. I need a headset to be good in listing to music, watching movies and some single player games. I also had kraken v4 pro and I retuned them in couple days, right now I'm using Nova Pro wireless with custom EQ. They lack in sound stage, mids are okay but highs are very bad to my taste
What is that stock frequency response? Honestly, no one is asking for something perfectly flat, but I tought we were past this stage... That and all the trouble you mentioned, this is absolutely unacceptable..
Hi Joe, love your videos and how detailed they are. I wanted to ask between hyperx cloud 3 wireless and TB Atlas Air, which one do you prefer for fps games?
i can answer for the hyperx, if you like comfort and plug and play and long lasting battery, hyperx has all that in the bag. nothing ive used compares to hyperx when it comes to comfort especially with wicked cushions. though the stock ones are just fine. audio is good enough, but my steel series arctis 7x has better bass and directional audio, unfortunately the steel series doesnt fit my head very well, too much clamping force at the top of the driver and none at the bottom, nothing i did could fix that. so those i use as back-ups. turtle beach has never been an option for me, i always saw them as over priced walmart headsets. im sure they work just fine, just depends on what you want. I always end up using my hyperx headset, and ive tried on everything bestbuy carrys, the only one to compare was the logitech pro lightspeed. to be honest you wouldnt regret hyperx, they're a great company, and if anything goes wrong they have AMAZING customer support, you call and a person answers, within a few days they got you covered. atleast thats been my experience, and i had a old headset they quit making and they had no problem sending me a replacement mic cause i broke mine.
If you don't need noise isolation and don't mind some firmware bugs, the Atlas Air is superior with comfort, and sounds fantastic. Cloud 3 Wireless is basic, but it just works. It has less of an ownership headache than most models. So both are great, but for very different reasons
I am not an expert by any means, but i wouldn't trade my Atlas Air for any of these. Finding the "perfect" headset is like finding the "perfect" monitor, all have some advantages, disadvantages you have to make a sacrifice at some point.
@@GadgetryTech I am bad/unexperienced with EQ, so the out of the box experience/factory tuning is very important for me, expecially if you use the headset more than 1 platform (thats why I hate steelseries headsets for example). After I fixed the lack of volume issue (with the help of your community) the Atlas air sounded perfect for me without any EQ, and It sounds/feels the same via 3,5 mm jack and bluetooth too. It is not perfect (the mic is mid and dont like the volume wheel that much), but in terms of comfort + factory tuning It is very very strong imo. (also I like the cloud III wireless for the same reasons)

@@waterkey2712 I know you aren't asking me, but for what it's worth, I've had the Arctic Nova Pro since it launched basically. I really enjoy it. I got the wicked cushions for it, but I don't know if you'll need to since the ANC nub on it is a bit smaller now (don't quote me on that)
@@milkmanchannel1 Yeah. Some on reddit say their nova pro broke on the hinges like the old arctis pro. Which kind of leads me to not wanting to buy it, plus the ANC on it is terrible to some redditors. But yeah Corsair really did drop the ball on this one. Especially when they ditched the triple connectivity or whatever it was called.
@@waterkey2712 that's fair. I never use the ANC so I can't speak to that. 95% of the reason I got it was for the swappable battery and it was the only one available at the time with that (except the old arctis) lol
@@milkmanchannel1 Well the ones also with the hotswappable battery were the turtle beach stealth pros but they lack in features such as game/chatmix and their battery life is slightly worse than the nova pros. The stealth pros have 12 hours per battery and the nova have 22 hours per battery so a 10 hour big improvement. Also i may get the nova pros too cuz i have an arctis 5 and i dropped them like 10 times and they didnt break and i have had them for 2-3 years and they still work great. Just want wireless and the nova pro are an option. The battery system is smart cuz if one or both of the batteries start to show a noticable decrease after a long term usage (lets say maybe 1 or 2 years) you can buy new batteries and boom like a brand new nova pro. The delta 2 nor the virtuoso max have these options i think. I dont think the battery can be hotswapped like the nova pro.
Highly anticipating the Beyerdynamic MMX 330 Pro review. Unfortunately for me the ModMic Uni 2 didn’t work out due to being *extremely* sensitive and Xbox doesn’t have a mic sensitivity setting like PS5 does so hopefully the 330 Pro’s mic will be just right with sensitivity.
@@WhiteHartMart Good to hear, hopefully your testing on Xbox goes well, too. I personally don’t even necessarily care about the detail/clarity of the mic, I just worry about the sensitivity.
@@GadgetryTech Much appreciated, brother! Truly. (As an example of why I’m so concerned about this aspect of the headset: I wanted to keep my PC38X so damn badly because the headphone aspect was incredible but after using it for a month straight playing BG3 with friends they always said that during our conversation most of my words wouldn’t be picked up by the mic so it sounds like my sentences are constantly cutting out, and also at the same time it would constantly pick up the slightest nose-breathing at any placement of the mic, it was a lose-lose situation, so now when considering new headsets I have to take mic sensitivity into consideration due to being on Xbox…)
Picked up a white pair of Steelseries Nova Pro Wireless for only £215 and it's night and day (and rightly so!) compared to my A50 Gen 2's! I'll probably change out the earpads soon from what everyone is saying but overall, very happy. And another point, like for the recent Alienware Pro's, why do they always speak to eSport gamers who are good at gaming but don't really no jack about audio and what makes a good headset actually good? I'm so surprised they've not reached out to GadgetryTech for advice.
I've been searching for weeks now for a headset upgrade and I can't find a single product on the market that checks all the boxes. It's like these companies get together and draw straws to decide which component each of them get to slack on. There's no excuse for anything coming out in 2024 to have anything less than an 80 hour battery life. No excuse for anything with bluetooth to leave out simultaneous BT. No excuse for anything over $150 to have anything short of 50mm (or larger) graphene drivers. At $200, the microphone better be buttery smooth. Some of these brands seem to spend a lot of time trying to make the controls as unfriendly as possible.
So would the Nova Pro be better than the V Max for PS5?? I got the V Max cuz I had the Virtuoso RGB and loved it, however I think I’m bout to send it back and not sure if it’d be worth keeping
I ended up ordering the epos H6Pro open backs, even if it's discontinued you can get it for less than a hundred bucks on amazon after getting so many disappointments out of 200 buck gaming headsets in terms of comfort and sound quality. My Plantronics Rig 500 Hd's are still the most comfortable headphones i've ever had with pretty good sound (and great soundstage) for it's price. 200 gram headsets with good sound really spoil most headsets.
We will make these better, we’re on it

Thanks Fresh!
Especially when products like the Audeze Maxwell have already existed for over a year.
@@BlissBatch Right? A company would make so much money with a headset with no compromises. I’d pay for the one headset to rule them all.
Listening with my HS80 wireless. Great review, very detailed and covered well!
nice!
Ty!
Great review, so much details the actually affect user experience
When he said "these big shortcomings on these new flagship priced headsets being released is unforgivable and I'm frustrated" i really fkkn felt that
Thank you for the comparison!
Releasing a headset of that price with Mic and Sidetone performance like that is frankly, insulting imho. Great review as always though Joe.
Thanks man! I hope firmware updates solve some of it. They made the HS80 Max mic sound better after a firmware update, so it's always possible. I just wish it launched that way.
It better sound amazing if it has those handicaps.
Others have already said it innumerable times but you are truly the benchmark for the PC audio gear review scene! That being said, have you heard anything from Fractal Design's upcoming Scape headset? We haven't seen anything of it ever since it was revealed at Computex this summer.
Thanks so much! Fractal said they would send me one but it's been quiet for a while now. So we'll see!
Wow man. Well done. Keep grinding. You deserve to be successful and have one more subscriber.
Bought the old version thanks to your review, and I'm pretty happy with them so I'll stick to those for now. I'll keep coming back for the latest and greatest here tho!
Thanks so much for the review Joe, you are the guy to see if i need a real review
heard they fixed all the firmware issues
Another great example on why independent reviews are so important. Thanks Joe !
suffering from succes video picture
Haha I love that line. Not a fan of DJ Khaled but the album cover was hilarious
I watched out of thinking was gonna feel buyers remorse since I ordered the delta II. Im good, thanks for the sincerity and accurate reviews lol
Delta II is so good for the money! Comfort is amazing
@@Amp_Editionmaybe, will see.
Looking forward to your Aune SR7000 review!
Great review. Mic quality doesn’t matter to me. It just needs to work. I don’t care how well I sound. Comfort and audio is king. And this is a bit heavy. Also would prefer usb c dongle
thanks!
To Corsair's credit, most headsets they make seem to be very comfortable - with the exception of their flagship closed backs, lol.
So the A50 gen 5 is just the A50x headset without the HDMI switcher base?
Great review and comparison.
Thanks! I'm working on V4 and V4 pro. Hope to wrap it up for next week!
Oh no. The three simultaneous connections was my favorite features on this headset.
I was very interested until I saw the FR. At least good on Corsair for the simultaneous BT. Thanks for another awesome review Joe!
Thanks! The FR is rough out of the box, but thanks to very low distortion and high power handling, after running SoundID or using my custom parametric EQs, it sounds absolutely amazing. Such a tough place
@@GadgetryTech Ah, the magic of EQ! Sadly no help for consoles. 😔
Thank you Joe for being honest. I appreciate the not being able to recommend it now comment
Don't worry about being harsh on billion dollar companies releasing overpriced, subpar, buggy products. If anything, be *more* harsh.
Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate it
@@GadgetryTech been narrowing down my headphone choice between the recent one you've reviewed sir. The FiiO ft1 and the beyerdynamic dt 770 pro x limited edition. It's really hard to choose because of how well your videos are made both subjectively and objectively. I also recently put in my order for the Schiit Gunnr that I've also seen your vid... This hobby is both amazing and expensive for a beginner haha!
Nice video as always! What's the music at the end? 😊
Thanks! Demon - JVNA. It's free on TH-cam for creators to use as a license free music track. I love the beat for wrapping a vid!
Okay lets see, video likes, subbed, notification bell on because you actually know what you are talking about
Great as always!
Thanks Joe.
Biggest negative about the Astros is NO Bluetooth on headset. Base station only
Yeah that and the BT range to the dock is pretty bad too which makes it worse
outside of the sidetone, i have not had any of the mentioned issues.
What earpads are those, on the Nova Pros? Great vid btw :)

#soon 😉. Keep your eyes peeled on the channel!
@@GadgetryTech 👀.. can't wait!
The thumbnail said it all 😂
Is the earcup opening larger on the max than on the previous version?
When will your siege target on squiglink come out?
Waiting for your review on Hyper X Cloud MIX 2: Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones.🙂
So, as far as I understand, the earcups aren't any larger than the previous versions, right?
I have the virtuoso XTs and this video was basically the deal breaker to jump for the Maxwell.
Fiio Ft5 review and FT3 review
Definitely working on it soon!
@@GadgetryTech Ah, I must have just missed that. Thanks for clarifying!
Did you get a chance to try the Xbox version chat mix on PC? Does it work? Like the Audeze Maxwell chat mix feature on PC.
Are those velour ear pads on your nova pro wireless? If so who makes them and where did you get them they look great!
#soon 😉
hey man, just bought the EM6L's because of you and was wondering if you were working on more EQ stuff for other games besides the ones you have in Squigink currently?
also, any reason why the quality of my mic is getting affected depending on which EQ preset I use? I use voicemeeter, if that information helps
Not sure if you're gonna even read this comment, but I am between this or the Stealth Pro for gaming, music and movies.
The fact that the Stealth Pro has EQ for Bluetooth and consoles is nice, but is it enough? Or is the stock Virtuoso Max better?
Deeply saddened 😩. I have a birthday coming up and i decided to order myself a set of wicked cushions designed by you. However, they are sold out. 😡

up to 60h
Sorry! In the midst of compressing the video length down a bit, I must have trimmed that comment out.
Would you say that the Audeze Maxwell is the best bluetooth headset for Music Audio? Or it there another Wireless ANC bluetooth audio headset that should be looked at?
What has better sound quality, these (assuming the sound profile is fixed), or Stealth 700 Gen 3?
Are these able to be used with pc and ps5 at the same time?
The mmx 300 pro with GC7 has been my end game set up
Killer setup!
Great honest review! The price doesn't justify the performance. Better get legit audio headphones or A50 Astro.
with the regular astro A50s unless your bass obsessed I still wouldnt go back to that sound profile.
Yeah, the bass is cinematic but the old A50s were really weak in the mids and highs.
These corsair virtousos if I have to rank them are among Stealth Pros/Artic Nova Pros and they are very clear, somewhat crisp noise.
Stealth pros are a smooth noise with lots of duration (from the leather and closed back design)
Astros have the chat mix feature but that doesnt overpower not hearing important stuff in games
the corsair virtuoso pro (open back) had the same annoying scratchy/shallow pads and wicked cushions was mandatory to make it comfy
Thanks
Watch the Maxwell review. There's your answer.
Audeze maxwell o regret buying them I've had mine for 8 months haven't used them for 5 months there too too heavy for every day usage there a joke for gaming and there not even comfy to bulky.
Amazing Review that was useful information. now i don't know what to buy 😂. i feel like there is new Nova pro coming soon.
I sure as hell hope not haha! I need a break. Thanks for the kind words!
Does custom eq work on console?

Joe pls do a Xenns Tea pro review. We need it :P
Hey, will you test the new kraken v4/v4 pro? :))
I am not an expert by any means, but i wouldn't trade my Atlas Air for any of these. Finding the "perfect" headset is like finding the "perfect" monitor, all have some advantages, disadvantages you have to make a sacrifice at some point.
Correction: I would love to try the Astro, but it has almost double the price than my A.Air :S :(
100% the perfect headset doesn't exist, and we all like different things/value different features. Atlas Air is great once the bugs are sorted out!
I would've gone with Atlas Air if they had more rotation to the earcups and a bit more premium look! I know ... _pimp._
How does this compare to IEMs like Super Mix 4 for Warzone?

im wondering like im a casual gamer who doesnt really care to munch about prices i just a reliable headset with good mic id prefer an option to wire it if possible wich one would you recommend bcs im very confused on what to buy now since my old razer one has kinda sees its best days

Watched your review and BadSeed's back to back. He had significant volume issues as well. Feel like Corsair really dropped the ball on this headset.
Same here. Would you recommend this headset or the delta 2 or the nova pro for fps and just overall sound quality? Im running really low on options and would like to buy these headsets at black friday.
I dont think the battery can be hotswapped like the nova pro.
lower weight (remove excessive metal usage), tighter clamping force, better mic and software and it'd be a nice headset
can you do a astro a50 gen 5 review
Highly anticipating the Beyerdynamic MMX 330 Pro review. Unfortunately for me the ModMic Uni 2 didn’t work out due to being *extremely* sensitive and Xbox doesn’t have a mic sensitivity setting like PS5 does so hopefully the 330 Pro’s mic will be just right with sensitivity.
Got the MMX330 Pro today - tried on PC and PS5 and the mic seems decent - can try on Xbox later.
@@WhiteHartMart Good to hear, hopefully your testing on Xbox goes well, too. I personally don’t even necessarily care about the detail/clarity of the mic, I just worry about the sensitivity.
Will test that for sure! I have a lot of new launches lately and I'm just trying to keep up at this point. I looking forward to sharing the vid
@WhiteHartMart , how did you find the pad depth? Did you ears touch the baffle?
Is the plastic good or will the headset break in like 3 months.
Can you recommend me some wireless in ears (with a mic) for gaming from a non Chinese brand?
any idea how to switch channels without installing any software? charging port on right side is annoying me :p
These or rog delta 2 if they were 20 dollars apart ?
No mic-out…what’s going on with this? Wanted the gen 5 A50 and BOOM…
Is there any decent wirless openbacks for gaming. Been wanting to replace my PC38X for ages now, but everything just seems lacklustre.
So would the Nova Pro be better than the V Max for PS5?? I got the V Max cuz I had the Virtuoso RGB and loved it, however I think I’m bout to send it back and not sure if it’d be worth keeping
Not a fan? I'm between the same two headsets and can't decide
is the nova pro wireless really that much better than the nova 7?
I ended up ordering the epos H6Pro open backs, even if it's discontinued you can get it for less than a hundred bucks on amazon after getting so many disappointments out of 200 buck gaming headsets in terms of comfort and sound quality. My Plantronics Rig 500 Hd's are still the most comfortable headphones i've ever had with pretty good sound (and great soundstage) for it's price. 200 gram headsets with good sound really spoil most headsets.
I heard that the Virtuoso Headset has 7.1 Surround Sound for the Playstation 5 is that correct?
Which has more boomy powerful bass, the Steelseries Nova 7 or the Virtuoso Max?
I would for sure think the max for it's larger graphene drivers
