Cranks but wont start, Well easy if you have a good idea what's wrong ;) I don't want to be a mechanic! But I don't want do into debt for a new truck either.
Just a tip, there is definitely a problem if you’re cranking until your battery dies as it should start on the first or second time cranking it over, always check for fuel pressure and spark, but yeah these distributors have a plastic dizzy and notorious for the screw hold down tabs to break and allow moisture inside, if that happens instead of completely replacing the distributor, they sell a repair plate for around $20 bucks that will fix that problem, hopefully your no longer having any issues. 👍
Question I have the same blazer but we just put new lower intake gaskets and a water pump, had to take the distributor out to do those repairs. Put everything back together and it won't start. Went and got new distributor put in right and still won't start any help please...
One of the reasons I haven't gotten a new truck is I would have to relearn every thing on how to repair it. Now If I had kids ... I would get a self driving vehicle then i could send a child to the store to shop for me :) Wait a sec... All joking aside, would you even need a drivers license if you have a self driving car? This might be a game changer for when I hit 80's or 90's :)
Mine doesn’t start every once in a while. Thinking mines the fuel send unit and pump or whatever so think I’m ganna replace that first cuz once it gets under half tank it don’t like to start until I put some gas in it. Has to be fuel pump. But ganna take a look at This tomorrow as well
Mine took a crap in the middle of driving, I was putting some tools back in the shed, and when I was pulling up, threw it in park it just died. When I turn the key everything sounds normal except when it's supposed to start, fuel pump noises, starter noises everything fine except when the spark is supposed to kick the engine alive. I'm hoping this is what it is, and can get it fixed at first light tomorrow.
@@jordanrivers8322 thanks for the reply. finally got it started. I think it was still a moisture problem, finally got it dry enough to get it started and dry it out really good
having the exact same problem had it at a shop who i told them it was the distributor and they disagreed and said it was the starter which was already done. then they got evicted from the plaza they were at and charged 310 for the starter
You could just pull it and dry it out with compressed air. I think mine was caused from short trips and the engine never heated up enough to dry it out.

Just fixed mine that’s been broke down for two weeks and you were 100 percent right

Can take the steering column loose with a 11mm and a pry bar. Not too bad to hook it back up.

Well, you don't need a driver's license if you use public transportation or cabs/Uber/Lift, etc.

I've replaced the cap and rotor on my 2003 and it's still not starting up :-( not sure what else to try
