Why did the long chasis outperform the long one?

I think the distance between the motors and the sensor helps it to smoothen the small corrections and increase speed.
Also the motors have more time to respond to the changes in line due to the increased distance

We have generally felt that you can go upto 22-25 cm length for optimal speed performance
