I think you have it right about Judas' method of temptation regarding betraying Jesus. It isn't so much as a classic rejecting betrayal, as it is an attempt to back Jesus into a corner and somehow force his hand, to prematurely ascend to David's throne (and overthrow Roman occupation). Now Jesus spoke on at least one public occasion a parable specifically making the point of how the kingdom of God would not immeadiately appear - but perhaps Judas wasn't present for it (or had simply already made up his mind). This overall scenario is much more plausible than depictions in the past that essentially portray Judas as being altogether possessed, which I note the Scriptures stop a bit short of, settling for "Satan having been put in the heart" of Judas.
Hey all, love the show. I’m a theologian/apologist (not super well known, but that’s ok!), and I just wanted to let you know that the Sadducees did actually accept all of the OT. It’s a common misconception that they didn’t. They simply gave it a much lower place in the canon and mostly interpreted it figuratively, which is where the misunderstandings arise. Not at all trying to correct in judgment, you just always say to let you know about small mistakes. I hope this helps. God bless all!!
Is there any scripture that explains our role once we are in heaven? It seems that the main goal is to be worthy of going to heaven, but once there what then? It's a serious question.
This is a great question! And I will absolutely make a video talking about this! The goal is not to Go to Heaven, the goal is to serve God because He is God. Heaven is a byproduct of that.
Did you say there's a scene where they're going to behead John which John is he? Because John jesus's friend was not killed he died of old age and was the last apostle to die.
You are a great speaker but the Chosen can’t be your career go over to Phil Robertson and watch their podcast. If you can add a significant influx of bible teaching your not going to live off TH-cam. Sorry I enjoy you but can’t listen to it on the daily include some bible study. One thing is they know their bible so well and study for their shows they bounce around a lot for me but I enjoy how their going through each letter in the bible. Right now it’s on Luke 9. Great way to learn! Thanks no offense I would just like to see you progress in your endeavours.
