Sauvecito was the song that reminds me of that Oct when I met my future Wife. We had 49 years together til cancer took her in Feb, 2021. Thank you for doing such an incredibly beautiful version of this song. The flute made it even better, if that’s even possible.
I've been playing the flute for 54 years on and off. Suavecito is one of my favorite songs by Malo 1971. This version has encouraged me to play it more. The flautist is phenomenal!
I like this version , but I also like Malo. I was told the lead singer was Carlos Santana brother. I'm a black guy from the Bronx, I just wanna say some of the music that Hispanics made was off the chain. I was at the concert in the 70's at Yankee stadium. I think it was around 73 74. All the great Hispanic bands were there. It was one of the best times in my life. I may have forgotten the year, but I'll never forget the love.
My girlfriend and I broke up in 1974, I knew that this was a bad situation for me, as i loved her with all my heart. this song "Suavecito" was on my mind and in my heart, every day and night and has never left my soul, nor has my former girlfriend. Although, I wish I could turn the tides of time, I cannot but I will never forget her, as she will always be the love of my heart and the only woman I ever loved on this earth. I sing Suavecito every time that she comes into my mind. God Bless Jorge Santana for this song.
Never get tired of hearing this music, brings back such awesome memories of my life at that time. Now 68 and I will always love this music, oh man such memories.
Yes,i agree, great vibes, great music, iam in the philippines, starting life over,iam70 in one month,my wife of one yr is 24.She makes me young again, just like this music!!! going to the disco tonight, hahaha, will dance like in the 70,s!!!
Great Song, it was very popular a few years after I did my 3 years of Army time in the 1970’s. It was a way to relax listeners to awesome music after two tours of duty in Vietnam and in Augsburg, West Germany. Those 3 years of my life were great experience that appreciated the opportunity to serve our country. I recommend young adults to join the US Military, you will not regret it.
Barbara Yslava from San Jose, 64yrs young and still enjoying their Music!! 🎶💃🎺🎻🎸🎷😉 Mystique played father's 90th Birthday!! My Primo Ernie Cocio (Cousin) played with the group as well.. What a Wonderful Honor to have them play...🥰 RIP.. DAD (ALEX YSLAVA) And Ed V. 😘 They are both singing in Heaven 👼🎶👼
These “ guys” are awesome! Thankyou so very much for bringing back “music”..that made so much sense… I listen to you all the time, raw and authentic musical talent. We really need to bring this music back today for our “mental health”.
There are “those songs” that transportyou back in time…. This song totally did that to me back then and does now. Iam forever grateful for such wonderful musicians that have given me that “fortunate vibe”… for me to relate to so many good times in my life. 2023 is rockin it!,

I was a white country boy of about 14 years old from hard by the Canadian border when Malo first released the song Suavecito in about 1970. I'm pretty sure I was the only kid in the neighborhood who dug it. I just couldn't get my friends to come around to the great sounds of the vocals, reeds and horns of a underrated group. Well, let me tell you folks in Mystique, you have done this song J U S T I C E !!!!!!
Wow - what a great band and two great songs. First class - two songs that remind me of summer and walking with a beautiful woman down a crowded street on a hot night.
This is also one of the best executions by any group, orchestra,. I like their version as much as like the original!!! Love it!! thank you All!!! And the young LADY is not only beautiful but extremely talented, and probably an excellent dancer!!!
This is an exquisite version of his original song and Felix Cavaliere still has a stellar voice notwithstanding his wonderful band. The backing vocal are lush - like liquid velvet. But my-oh-my who is the guitarist. His solo is just awesome and he took this song to a different level altogether. Pure class!
I love the way this band sounds, makes you feel relaxed and just so mellow. But, makes you want to get up and dance! The way this band transitions these 2 songs is so great and smooth. I listen to this song everyday to keep me happy and moving. Love, love, love this version of it and the musicians are all excellent players. Thank you for the great version!
I lived in the Mission district of San Ffrancisco back in the 60's, i used to see Malo rehearse in some apt or house on 26 st, i also saw Santana in Sausalito, they were just begginning then, but i knw they were destined to make their mark in the music history of the US. Chepito Arias used to be a shopper in my Safeway store in Diamond Heghts the Gay district that was beggining. I am an really old guy with a good memory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
