18V vs 20V Max Battery : Which One is Better for You?

    Ya so besides different brand tech in the batteries there are no difference. You charge a 18v and 20v to full and check the voltagethey both put out 20v. Use them and then they will both put out 18v. 18v just use the nominal voltage while dealt started saying 20v because technically a fully charged 18 v will register 20v at first use. Just a marketing ploy. You actually go to many foreign countries those same “20v max” batteries are branded 18v due to legality reasons.

    Well the truth is that they're exactly the same batteries with different labels. One's labelled for max unloaded voltage, and the other for average voltage, but they're the same.

      They are the same, the 20V are mostly in the USA and the 18v in Europe, the difference is just the stick label. Same happens with: inch-cm, feet-meters, mph-km/h, oz-grams, pounds- kilograms and so on.

    Same voltage 's, same number of usetage ..,buys by colors.
