    Reallocate? Free up tax money? What is that supposed mean?
    Drive around this county and look at all the houses and buildings and try to imagine all that property tax money. Where does it all go? It seems to me that we are all being robbed blind.

      They use it to in part. Make up for giving those luxury apartment developers. Breaks. And groups like 3cdc getting tax breaks and grants. A group of the cites richest vulture capitalist. No taxes. And given free money often. To build apartments.

    Here in Columbiana County Ohio, I built my home after discussing with the One of the Assessors Office flunkies, that I would be paying for the price of materials since I was the builder.
    He said that that's what he did and I could do the same.
    Several years later the same flunky told me that my house would be assessed at market value for the area since I didn't work at the Assessors Office like he does. WTH?

    It's went up in the whole state of Ohio people with mobile home taxes is doubled people with living in mobile home parks are paying double people living on land is paying double but you want to know who's land didn't go up you look at people that have 30/40 Acres of just land sitting around they're lucky if they're paying $100 a year and why is that because our system is fixed to help the wealthy Elites

    Giving tax abatements to all these real estate developers. Tax abatement is a payment to kick out poor people. The city wont be seen as the bad guy so they get the developers to so it

    Think about it you live on an income and you're making it then they change it up on you but nothing changes for them they make more money that's why they call commissioners so if they can make money on you out of nowhere what do you think happens do you get more money but you now you have to struggle and you're going to see other houses go downhill deployed people can't afford anything that's what's happening

      Look into what 'inside millage' means. Easy way to say it, they get more tax the higher they make your house. And it's not voted on millage.

      Has nothing to do with this. Where do property taxes go in Ohio?
      After local administrative fee deductions, revenue is distributed to the counties, municipalities, townships, school districts, and various special districts according to the taxable values and total millage levied by each. Not Israel or Ukraine. Educate yourself.

    • @LSPalm
      @LSPalm 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thats Fed. Local tax goes to offset tax abatements to billion dollar developers like 3cdc

    • @benton-benton
      @benton-benton 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Property tax is local. Most of the property tax goes to schools. People keep voting yes on every school levy, then the county reappraises every 3 years. Both make property tax so high, some people just can't pay it.

      @@benton-benton property tax is local, but a home based business let's you write off part of property tax. That's why business people don't complain about rising tolls, gas prices, surge toll pricing..... They write them off.

      @@droolalot5795Well that makes sense. But for an average retired person that doesn't work. My neighbor has a home based business. He's extremely well off. So that's why he doesn't complain about the high property tax in this suburb of Columbus Ohio. Yep. Makes sense.
