I love how humble you are Ash, the fact you own up to your mistakes…..most people would start again, I think you are a very sweet young man, and Chad is equally special. Keep up the good work 👌
Super vlogs and always presented in an understated and elegant manner. We do like the chats which include Chad as he is quite a straight talker and I happen to enjoy the Scottish accent very much indeed!
Oh how beautiful Doogle is looking through the door, bet he can smell the sasuges. Love how you’re so honest Ash about the 1st dish you made. Absolutely love chat with Chad especially when he goes on a rant. Have a great day.
Thanks for another episode of "Kitchen Chat". As a U.S. citizen I can answer Chad's question. The reason supermarket food in the US is so unhealthy is because most of it is controlled by Massive Corporations that pay politicians Not to pass healthy food laws (like no GMO foods). I buy organic more than 90% of the time just to avoid the GMOs, pesticides and other junk (like nitrates) in most food. Hopefully people here will wake up one day and demand better.
@@cheekyllamacreations He should be applauded but my bet is he will be met with immense opposition. He has no idea just how many entities, including politicians, who have for decades colluded to destroy a healthy food supply. Our organic food, which we buy weekly, come from outside the U.S. and tariffs will certainly cut our supply entirely. RFK won’t be able to help us!
Ash and Chad, thank you for another enjoyable video. I love watching everything that you do. You have presented a nice variety of content in each Vlogmas episode. I always found it a challenge to cook vegetables in new and intersting ways. Your recipes looked delicious. Wishing you both a Merry Christmas and a safe, healthy, and Happy New Year. All the best from NYC, Robert.
I just sat here. I have had an intense day. I have been hoping all evening that you uploaded a new video. Before I even start watching … I want to say THANK YOU so much for the effort you put into making these videos. I have thoroughly enjoyed your vlogmas.
I agree with all your points about food quality. For a lot of people, the cheapest is the only option. They don't have the extra pound/dollar. Their lives are all about survival somehow or other. I am conscious of this because I have been so lucky. Thanks to luck, I can pay the extra. The poor people can't. Not saying you are not aware of this. Clearly, you are, but I can't help pointing it out because it could so easily have been me, scraping by to survive. Thank you for the video!
Every food in the States has corn syrup added, even sausages. I'm that person who reads all labels on all foods and is muttering to herself about Americans and corn syrup. I know it goes back to the gvt subsidizing the agriculture industry, etc, but it's in everything! I haven't set foot in the States since 2016, so maybe things have improved since then, but eating anywhere in the States except for the big cities like NYC and LA is a real challenge.
Been enjoying your Vlogmas! Just wanted to note about cooking foods with direct contact on Aluminum foil. Don't know if you heard but there was some study done like 20 years ago linking Altimers (sp) with Aluminum in the brain. There was no direct linkage with cooking with foil but it's better to avoid it to be on the safe side especially with you guys being extra careful with what you put in your body. Try lining it with parchment so food doesn't touch the foil. Peace and Happy Holidays! 🎄🎄🎄
3.55min: sodium ascorbate is vitamin C. Waitrose sausages are fantastic: so much tastier and so much healthier than other supermarkets, with a superbly high meat content; they do wonderful free range ones; their Cumberland for example, are absolutely delicious - so good that I wouldn't go to the trouble of making them.
The industrial food lobby in the US gives huge contributions to politicians and like everything else in the US,the dollar rules. Wealthy individuals and corporations buy politicians, full stop. If you want healthy food you either grow it yourself or buy from organic farms/stores. Duchy Originals are top notch, big 👍🏽
I'm so glad you guys follow Josie's channel! I love her and Charlie and especially like their "sausage dogs aka wiener dogs" and yes they are so healthy and awesome! I found them at the beginning of Vlogmas 2023 and I found your channel this Vlogmas! I love both of your channels and you guys along with Josie, Freddy my love and Hannah Adkins are my other favorite ENGLAND channels.
There is a beautiful table book called "Wine &Travel in France". Def recommend you have a look at this. Who knows might be a summer holiday in France...:) Merry Xmas to you both.
Nice to see healthy food looks delicious Guys.. How ever love a Roll N Square sausage or Black pudding. With lurpack Butter oh I’m sure Chad is drooling now 😂 Merry Christmas from Scotland 🏴 🌲 🎅 🔔 💫
Oh I love your BIG HEADED doggie. I want to pat his fuzzy head! My brother had a dog in the 90's like him. He was white with a big dark patch around one of his eyes. We all loved him! Please give him a treat when he comes in : )
Red wine has polyphenols / anti oxidants, which are good for you, too much alcohol though is bad, so as long as your having no more than 14 units and 2 days off per week
Came to look for a new blog and I can’t believe there is so many people with nasty opinions…. Hope you both had a lovely Christmas, hope you keep posting ❤
I am so lucky to have nutrition education and to have grown up on a farm where I saw firsthand the dirty side of growing crops and excessive use of water. I use the EWG website religiously too, make my own bread, eat organic, research additives, stick to natural or homemade, avoid plastic, cook from scratch including salad dressings, avoid processed foods, practice anything that solidifies good health. A bit of eye opening info about the additives in American processed food: if citric acid is listed among the ingredients know that the citric acid does not come from citrus fruits (a proper assumption). No, it is made from mold. Mold is toxic and if one is allergic to mold then they are at more risk of health problems. RFK has no idea what he’s up against. He should start by reading Fast Food Nation.
I was ignoring you Ash during video & watching Dougal! lol. I have a European Doberman, she’s what they call Blue in color. So she’s the same color as Dougal. I do love some Brussels, good idea on the lemon juice. They need acidity to counter the natural flavor. Cheers Kirk
Ok so did try those pigs in blankets and definitely not fussed Think its that honey cinnamon mix that kills it for me. We played a bit with the recipe and left out the cinnamon / pomegranate - then glazed in some maple syrup , lemon juice and a little fresh thyme. That's a whole different experience
I miss Waitrose 😌 Chad, I’m hoping RFK Jr will sort out USA’s food additive issues next year. I’m not in the US, I’m in Australia and I always look at the additives on the labels in supermarkets but nearly everything they sell has either poisonous chemicals (on veggies), E numbers, salt or sugar in one form or another. Enjoyed the recipes, Ash👍🏼
I know Chad seems to get enough questions so I’m directing some to you! 1. How do you let go and really cut loose off camera. What does that look like?, 2. Could you post shots of what your ideal home and interior style might look like. Your home is beautiful but what’s your dream situation?, 3. Could there be a visit each of your family vlog in the future so to get a better feel for who you both are?, lastly….. What is the story of Dugal (sp?)….. need to know how he came into the fam.
I saw an Italian chef on TH-cam. He said if you take the centre bit from garlic, it stops the smell on your breath. I live alone, so dont know if it works but someone try it and report back.
Really loved this vlogmas series. The only thing...I don't know...but I feel like something is a bit off with the camera lighting. It comes off quite dark and more shadowy - even though it is quite bright outside. Is it possible to switch to a brighter or more natural camera light? I don't really know specifically the right one but the content is so lovely so I just think it will enhance the quality of the videos overall so much more!
Best not to eat processed foods that come in packets. Processed foods need chemicals to preserve them and help them last longer. As well as ridiculous amounts of added sugar and salt. Alcohol causes the bloat.
there is radiation in CT scans and the contrast dye they use in MRI is metal which is really unhealthy... metal toxicity causes cancer etc would love to learn more about the MOT though!
Oh guys be careful of what other utubers you look up to. People who love marketing are predators (they say "competitive") and narcs by nature. Think of any job you've done and how they spin. You are both so young...not going to unsub for that - but you are more intelligent than that. As a math/analytical person Chad, come on... step back. Long term success and retaining success means you must be a good judge of character. Space.
ASH...your channel is going to fail if you are not consistent. but i fear you will not. post when you say you will. viewers want to know they can depend on you for their viewing pleasure, set a schedule and stick to it no matter what. I really want you to succeed but i fear you will not. do what you say you will do. live up to your commitments. be reliable.
Here's the thing... The channel is still in its infancy and still finding its voice. I also assume that Ash is pretty much a "one man show". He does not have script writers nor video editors. You are right in that commitment is important; however, commitment also requires experience, capacity and time. The challenge with a "Vlogmas" is it turns a weekly episode into a daily one. As the channel develops, I imagine it will get tighter on meeting deadlines. Rome was not built in a day. (Though there were plenty of emperors who tried....) As for Ash, keep the faith. Your passion will drive the development of the channel and create a plethora of experience to build upon. Merry Christmas....
@@tommasino8155 blah blah excuses. if you want to have a successful channel it takes effort. we have many options to watch. i want ash to succeed but he is currently on the road to failure, i hope he is able to find a way to salvage what could be a great career
Im definitely going to try the carrots and brussels. I have Ottolenghi books so will look those up. So true to invest in good health. It will save you grief and money in the long run. I always read the ingredients and if there is an ingredient I cant pronounce, or there's more than five, I usually skip. Also to note... if the label says natural it does not mean it's good for you. And low fat means more sugar. Healthy fats are good for you and actually can help you lose weight with a balanced diet. :D

I enjoyed watching your video! Your lovely home and delicious food presentation has brightened my Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Dougal is so sweet, stands politely at the door, no barking, happy home.
Do you speak Italian Ash?
He’s a very polite boy, not as much as I should 😂
😂a yearly check up is a good idea, it caught my husbands prostate cancer. 15 years later he is fine

Merry Christmas Ash & Chad! ❤ I enjoyed the angle of the camera in this vlog! 😉 🍑

You need to touch up the paint along the sink to get rid of that white line along the worktop 😊
We ripped off the silicone hence why there’s a white strip. We’ll get it spray painted next year after our kitchen changes!

Yew, another person who doesn’t like coriander! I hate it too! And parsley is just milder taste of coriander 😅
😂
I read that 20% of people have the genes that make coriander taste soapy. I like it a lot.
Not all preservatives are unhealthy or dangerous and natural food do not always mean healthy food.
A voice of reason. So rate these days...

You’re still handsome even with the few extra pounds. Both are handsome.
