I ❤ the gingerbread kintsugi in the beginning so very much. You can't even tell it broke.
That gave me major inspiration for visible kintsugi cookies with gold food tint and everything.
P.S. a microplane grater would make for an easier and more precise tool than the zester! Less chance of breaking or going too far.
I didn't have an image of Kintsugi, but as you say, this is definitely the idea of Kintsugi! As a Japanese person, I am proud to think that I had the idea of Kintsugi, which is a Japanese tradition.

This is the most beautiful, stunning and gorgeous ginger bread I’ve ever seen! It’s sooo sweet and pretty! I love the filigree around the windows! Bravo on such a lovely accomplishment! I can tell this must’ve taken HOURS to make!

The artistry is gorgeous but the time and detail you put into the mechanical construction is what amazes me most. It really makes the beautiful decorations pop. You put miter joints on a cookie! That’s amazing!

メロディーさんの作るクッキーのように綺麗にはなりませんでしたが、アイシングを作る工程なども子どもと試行錯誤しながら楽しいひと時を過ごせました。
また何度も挑戦してみようと思います😊
息子さんと作られたのですね！私も最初は全く思うように出来ませんでしたが、結局は回数です😊是非、また作りましょう！👩🍳
