  • It's kind of interesting that you can still hear the original sound file.
    Made using Audacity: www.audacityte...
Here's a playlist containing all of my music that doesn't suck:

You can also take an mp3, change the file extension to .raw, import it into photoshop, draw over it, save as .png if you want (and post it online or whatever). Then you can open the .png back in photoshop, save as raw again, change the file extension back to mp3 and play it.
It sounds fucking awful if you draw over it but it works. (you have to make sure you open/save with the correct .raw file settings... cant remember what they are unfortunately)

@@mrtootybutbut Yea... I just typed out step by step instructions but I think because I linked an example image TH-cam didn't post it :( So here goes, take two...
      *Convert mp3 to png*
      - rename song.mp3 to song.raw
      - Open song.raw in photoshop
      - Settings: Dimensions = leave as they are, Channels Count = 1, Depth = 8 Bits, Header Size: 0 bytes
      - Then you can save as a PNG-24
      *Convert png to mp3*
      - Select: File -> Save a Copy
      - Save as Type: Photoshop raw (*.RAW)
      - Raw Options: File Type = PRAW, File Creator = 8BIM, Header = 0, Save Channels In = Non-Interleaved Order
      - Click OK
      - Rename file from song.raw to song.mp3
NOTE: You can't just take a random png and try to convert it into an mp3 because it will wont have an mp3 header which contains all the mp3 metadata

if you opened it as signed 16 bit you'll get the exact same audio as wav cause wav is just raw data with some extra information at the start of the file.

wav files are literally just glorified raw data files
i guarantee if you change the settings when importing it you can get the exact source file

can you try to turn a song to a .raw in audacity exactly mono in unsigned 8bits in 8000 hz in audacity and turn it to a bmp and send it to an SSTV app then record it in audacity and reconstruct the image with noise it will sound analog in audacity.
