The 60 mm f2.4 is a great lens. I like very much shooting macro with it. I have mounted it always on my "old" X-T1 and it is every time a great experience to shoot flowers or insects. As soon, as I have the money saved, I´ll buy the 80 F2.8. But for now the 60 mm is a great lens. Greetings from Germany
Hey, I love Fujifilm, but you guys were not doing macro photography here at all... at least not traditional macro photography that works at 1:1 reproduction. I hope a better video is produced showing the new 80mm lens used in real macro situations.
I think it's a nice video with some fun and calm outdoor shoots, but I'm afraid it isn't very informative. I learned that the 80mm is stabilized, weather resistant and quite heavy. The 60mm is not, but wheighs a lot less. These are things that I can read from a spec sheet. It's a missed opportunity to compare both lenses regarding image quality at different f-stops for macro photography.
Besides extra 20mm focal, are there any other benefits for 80mm lens over 60mm? 60mm has a better aperture and much cheaper, so I wonder if I should overpay for 80mm? Please advise. Thanks
dont get all the comments too expensive, OIS, W-sealing, 200-300 more than many fuji primes, pre-ordered, its an incredible mass of engineering thought and quality, guess ill get mine that much quicker, more on the 80mm please
I thought there would be a side-by-side comparison between the 60mm and the 80mm lenses. There is no way that I will pay $1200 for an 80mm macro lens. It makes me sorry that I sold my Nikon stuff, where I could have picked up a Tamron 90mm macro for about $650.
Nicolaas Strik I agree with you... I was waiting for this lens for a while but it seems it’s a better deal to just buy the 60mm macro and the 90mm f2..
nice work Fuji Guys ! . . . but the Fuji 80mm is over-priced ! full-frame Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 IS L is $749 @ B&H, so the Fuji is over 1.5 times the cost.
i really love my Fuji X system but these guys are horrible . almost no post producted photo, misused 80mm imho as he was too far away for macro every single shot AND wtf is this music?!?!? and don´t "&" the 60 and the 80, people want comparisons, jesus christ
Thanks for your feedback. BTW...Since this video was produced, we have added a second prime lens with OIS (XF200F2) and have a few other OIS lenses on the roadmap.

Would be nice if you gave us important info like the reproduction ratio or area covered at full magnification!

Thank you for the feedback...we will consider it!
not every macro should be 1:1))) you can't shoot big bee or frog in 1:1 ratio.
Chill yourself pal
I really really want more ois + wr primes from fuji, especially 35mm and 50mm ~

The 80mm bokeh looks amazing.
We’re the Fuji Guys, in a Fuji World, FC is plastic, FX is fantastic… 👍

There are a few step-ups with the XF80mm Macro lens, including: OIS, Weather Resistant, up to full 1:1 without needing to use extension tubes.
@@fujiguys Thanks

madr nano so what
does this mean the 80mm is ready to ship finally???
WE expect the first shipments to be available at the end of November.
Fuji Guys Channel when will the 16mm 2.8 come out? I’m waiting for a smaller version of the 16mm 1.4..

CHEAPER TO GO FOR USED NIKON D 800, AND SIGMA 105 MACRO
I miss the old Fuji Guys
Will all of the Canon flashcords give me HSS on a X-T2 with a EF X-500 flash?
We can't confirm all of them. We know the OC-3 will work.
Can you please recommend the flash to be used with this flashcord? the one that you used in the video or any flash wil work? thanks
Fuji Guys Channel can you tell me exactly what cord that is you’re using?
Gord is calm and nice character unlike the price of 80mm f2.8
"Were the fuji guys" *fist bump ...😀

Tokina 100mm f/2.8 AT-X M100 AF Pro D Macro is only $349
It can be that it goes with the crop factor. :)
Ufff poor shots boys
Like everyone else says, it looks nice but it's overpriced. Tamron, Sigma, Tokina , Samyang and so on all have great options for far cheaper.
So Fuji guys...WHERE IS THE DAMN FUJI CORD?????? Your promoting third party stuff now????
Usually, Fuji has been good at marking their lenses at the right price. I'll have to pass on this one, at 1600$, I'll stick with my Rokinon.

Not a single real macro shot, pretty underwhelmed.
