I think Fujifilm did a great job with their first three X lenses, the 18mm f/2, the 35mm f/1.4 and this 60mm f/2.4 macro.
I bought the 60mm f/2.4 instead of the 56mm f/1.2 and never regretted that choice. 80% of my images with it are in the "normal" range, not macro and it gives me what I got with my Leica and 90mm in the film.days.
You can be very successful with that original trio of OG Fujifilm lenses if you like character and don't care about test charts.
FWIW.... the hood on the 60mm is unbelievable in its reengineering and size. The tiny hood from the 35mm f/1.4 fits the 60mm perfectly and if you use that hood, you will have a nice small setup

Drop your lens on the hood and you will prefer a plastic hood. A metal hood transfers the full impact to the lens, while a plastic hood is softer and protects the lens by breaking if necessary. Just like modern cars.
Opticaly this lens is comparable with any contemporary Fujinon lens, but the AF is only quick in perfect light condition at 3m+ distances. When you get really close, macro close... the AF does a lot of hunting, so I'd recommend using manual focus for that. EDIT: Also, if you use filters then the lens hood is a must, due to the Desing of the front element. It could also work in your advantage, to get artistic lens flares into your images as well.

I had this lens, but as I didn't really need the macro (quite difficult when you're not used to it), I sold it and bought a Viltrox 56 mm f1.4 for Fuji X, which is light and excellent
Hello Tudor, I have this lense and I am in love with it. I also can’t explain the magic of it. I don’t think people can see it on TH-cam because of the compression. The lense give a filmic look, less digital I would say.

The autofocus is a slouch. But I confirm the sharpness is great, on X-T3. I did not try it on my X-H2, yet.
I’ve just been pre-purchase testing a lightly used ex-rental one of these on my x-T30 and overall, it’s great. AF seems to work as well as most other lenses. I noticed it uses the AF light more than any of my other lenses indoors but it finds focus and it was able to follow my cat wandering around in AF-C. Subject separation from the background looks as good as my new Fujinon 33mm 1.4. I’m definitely going to buy it even though it’s not nearly as much of a bargain as yours was.

Salutări Tudor ! Considering price/options of lenses, what would you choice for product/street photography and vloging ? Nikonn FZ or Fuijifilm XT4 ? In one hand I'm thinking on use old Nikon lenses , in other hand Fujifilm color right from camera, and in between the price diference.....
Pentru street consider că Fujifilm e cel mai bun. Culori la fel pentru video/foto superbe. AF in video așa și așa... Nu știu ce să zic, decât că eu mă întorc veșnic la Fujifilm și l-aș folosi și pe video doar că nu m-am îndurat să blochez o cameră și un obiectiv pentru asta... Niko ZF cu lentile vechi Nikon va fi cam mare, greuț... Parcă tot pe Fuji aș merge...

If I ever decide that I need to replace my adapted 55mm Nikkor f/3.5 manual focus macro lens, I will consider the Fuji 60mm f/2.8 auto focus macro lens shown in your video.

Crazy good both lenses 😁. The only advantage of 30mm is that it is a real macro lens.

My favorite one is Earthy Neg where I change Classic Neg with Nostalgic Negative and if I want more color I dial in +3 color.
How good on X-T3, please.
