This incredible amp does so much with a very stripped down interface. 3 way gain structure switch, highly active Contour control, two different inputs for varying flavors of gain and an absolutely transparent FX loop.

When you were strumming open chords in the beginning it was really rich and saturated so I thought "this amp is going to sound loose when he palm mutes" NOPE. Super focused low end. sounds killer as usual.

I love the Wizard MC1 & MC2! The MC25 as well. Wish I had the cash. But I didn't cut my teeth on JCM800s so I don't see the need for yet another high gain amp. A Metropoulos MetroPlex or DVL-1 has all you need and then some!

I know this may sound weird but is there any way to get a playthrough of a more "common" amp like a stock 5150 or stock Dual Rec just to get a feel of how they compare to these boutique/high end amps with your way of recording them? If you could do that I'd be forever grateful. Keep up the great work anyway, always looking forward to your videos!

What’s your take on this compared to a standard 2203?? Is this thing able to achieve the same tones and then some or is it more of ricks personal take on that circuit??
it's like the best 800 without any of the drawbacks of a stock circuit. it has much more juice and sparkle if you want it.

the mcii is much more saturated and tighter and has a ton of options.

was designed to
be run with the wizard leopard boost.
@RezaMatix Gotcha. So a boosted W800 would get you in MCII-ish territory without the additional options?

Sounds great! Might be youtube encoding but sometimes it sounds like maybe a cable is bad, sort of cutting out in the super highs. Awesome amp either way.
Sounds cool as hell! But I still prefer the MCII with KT120...
However, this has to sound incredible paired with a Diezel VH4 or a Bogner Shiva 20th!!!

Anybody know what happens at 8:40 and 9:39? Volume roll off and up again? Boost engage, disengage? Reason I ask is Reza says he didn't use any pedals.
