Sick tone:) I love just taking two mics on different speakers and hard panning one to each side- as you said, the stereo effect makes amps sound more realistic
Thanks homie! People are real weird about solo micd videos… oh well. Yeah I think going forward what I’ll do is full mix, then the stereo guitars isolated.
@@Yeahwhoduh yep, ones who complain never post. And the ones who critique the hardest and know everything about these amps never post either lol. I’m just trying to help people out who are considering making a big purchase, because these are.
Really interesting demo. I think traditionally double tracked guitars and fully mono signals still have a place in a review, even with this demo, but this definitely adds some understanding that I feel like these don’t necessarily bring to the table
Thank you for the demo. I personally think it is better not to add artificial doublgin, better to stay raw or to record double track, but that just imho. Great stuff, thanks!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I was on the fence about it initially. I’m going to record another full song mix double tracked then include the solod guitars after like my hermansson video.
Sick! You should share a Neural Amp model of it, they would be a great resource for other musicians interested in trying boutique amps Ps I saw you sneaking in the necrophagist riff there!
certainly is gnarly AF!!! way outta my league price-wise...but man!!! i have to suffer with a mesa badlander 50W, a mesa mark IV, and a engl fireball 100...stereo rig w 2 outta the 3 aint bad...cheers brother!!!
Both killer amps! I think with eqs and boosts you can get them closeish to sounding like the hell razor… but straight in this amp is insane. With all the gain knobs you can get so many different sounds.
For what it’s worth, the punch of wizards is a lot of what makes them special, and you won’t get that in plugins. Same thing with the inherent compression that plugins tend to have negating the rawness. There are some captures of wizards on neural amp modeler which is free at least
Loving the content, I appreciate your research and history of the amp maker as well as the breakdown of what it really is. Sick riffs too!
Damn, thats amazing! Quite different than my modern classic. Nice demo sir.
I totally agree, the guitar tone on Garage Inc always stood out to me too. Free speech for the dumb is a crazy heavy tone.
Good recording! The sound is more three dimensional. Well done. Sounds killer!
lmao holy shit was not expecting to hear necrophagist from a wizard amp demo hell yeah brother

@@Brandon-RZ the way I see it, if people care they can make it themselves haha- lots of complainers who don’t do anything themselves

Reminds me a lot of a Krank, personally. Could be because it's scooped so much? Would love to hear these riffs with more mids!
Amp is nothing like a krank. Uploaded a short doing different mids.
No other clip of the hellrazor has made me want one as bad as this one.

Sonds tight! Ola would still stomp a booster on it wouldn't he though?
God damn good tone..
Now I have to sell a kidney. Thanks

They’re definitely up there! Mark IV is a legendary amp in its own right! Killer tone!
@@Brandon-RZ ya i got lucky w the mark IV...i scored a near mint 2008 model at the start of covid...for about half of what some are going for now...
Would you use this amp primarily for rhythm sections? How would it fare for solo playing?
I’m pretty sure Adam from Tool used one of these (along with his VH4’s/Marshall) when recording the Aenima album.
love it. covet it. dont know if i really need it. have mc2 and mtl both from 2018.

Neural DSP needs to make a plug-in of the Wizard amps because I want this but can’t afford the 6K lol

I did get a quad cortex recently and have the stl tonehub tracer… I plan on doing a comparison and uploading the captures.
sounds vicious, nice job - subbed
Thanks homie! You and Matt are a big reason I hopped on the wizard train!
That´s one mean, angry and reckless amp in a nasty ass-mood.
It may very well be the most angry amp I’ve owned.
Very pantera sounding
Love me some pantera
He’ll Razor. So they made a product for worship bands. 😂
Sounds killer. Not $6000 killer, tho.
