How are the clear cases for scanning bus passes? I have a 4Smarts Ibiza Clear Hybrid case. It has raised corners and a flat plastic sheet on the back which works very well for my bus pass (Translink Compass), but I've had scanning issues with silicone cases in the past for my previous phones. The case is very durable (dropped it a few times without damage) but it wraps too tightly such that film screen protectors peel off. The frame turns yellow quite quickly and dust gets in between the back due to my bus pass elevating it slightly. Wireless charging works fine though.

Just bought a "PUNK CASE" for my Note 9 and so far (first day) loving it, what a tank of a case.
My first case I got with my note 9 was a clear pelican case. It held up well, it scratched a lot on the back. I loved seeing my ocean blue. It has great protection and coverage of the phone, but after a few drops the corners of the case started to crack and I started to get nervous about the case. So I ordered the Presidio speck case. I got the microchip gray/ballpoint blue. I'm still waiting for its arrival but I'm very excited to see how it feels.
New to the channel liked and subscribed a few cases I have added to my Amazon basket to try thanks for the video.
I had a Ringke Wave case for my s9 and my phone constantly overheated and the battery drained very very quickly. I was advised to take the case off and see if things improved before sending my phone for repair. I swapped to the Samsung Rugged case and things changed immediately. I would be reluctant to go for a third party case after this.

I've seen people on Amazon complain that the Speck Presidio Grip came warped (manufacturing defect). Anyone had issue with this?
Does a case that comes with a screen protector snap together type exist with tempered glass attached instead of a plastic screen protector, that would be dope what do you think?

Hello. Curious about actual drop protection. Not sure that was an important part of review. Sure like the looks compared to an other box! I'm just concerned for dropage. OH ALL these were done with an extra glass Protector...? Correct. If so how do these cases stand up without. And what does a glass "protector" provide in a drop etc?
Anyone know how the screen protector does with the lifeproof case?

Im really interested in the clear Torras one. Is it really really slim compared to other cases? I prefer something clear, so i can see the ocean blue color of the phone, but i also want to minimize the increase in size that cases often do to phones. a lot of the slim cases i found arent clear cases. Right now im using a Casemate clear case, but its quite bulky in the back area.

I have the Moko clear Note 9 case. Very minimalist like the other clear cases but has reinforced corners. It was also only $7 on Amazon. I was looking for something comparable to the Tech21 at a lower price point. The Moko case is the best clear case on the market in my opinion. Still havent decided on a rugged/military grade case yet but I'm really thinking about one of those Zizo cases after seeing this video. Thanks for the recommendation!

Great video. I have to ESR purple glitter case. Matches my note 9 purple phone. 😁❤
just a suggestion when testing wireless charging. you should leave the phone there for a minute until the screen changes. what happened when I tested it the phone would appear to charge at first glance then while sitting there the charging would stop. I know for a fact that the zizo cases didn't support wireless charging in the Note 8 or the note 7. also I was using the official Samsung wireless charger.

WHAT ABOUT SPIGen [Tough Armor] Galaxy Note 9 Case
Is the led wallet cover actually good I saw reviews and said it falls out easily it just looks nice
It looks really nice but I did not like it as much as I thought I would. The soft flap on the inside made it too slippery when using it with one hand when the case is open. I love the feel of the outside but that inside kind of ruined it for me. Maybe I need to add a card to make it better.

No mention about how easy or difficult it is to remove the pen with any of the cases on??
None of them have lip protection all the way around - only on the top and bottom. So if you drop your phone on a cylindrical object like a pencil (or worse still a bolt), and the object cuts across the middle of the screen (left to right) then the screen will potentially crack across the middle. You need to include a pencil test where you lie a pencil (or a level) across the face of the phone left to right and see if the pencil touches the glass. The only one's that would pass that test are the flip cases - but then they generally have very poor top and bottom lips also, so if dropped with the flip open - you are potentially worse off.

I don’t have one, but it seems the UAG cases at least have among tallest screen lips.
The Note 9 has a curved edge, so it's pretty much impossible to have a side lip on a case.
Speck Presidio grip or nothing. Tried five new ones from Amazon with my note 9 and none of them were grippy. Presidio grip may be more expensive from Best Buy right now but it's unmatched in grip. Those ridges actually feel like rubber not some slippery silicone like the others and the actual case is hard and strong. Had one for my gs5 and gs8 too. Great case. I wasn't happy with my note 9 until I got another one of these finally.

@@Feemy no warping for me it fits great. If it was warped I wouldn't accept it. I put it on in the store and walked out happy.
The speck had soft rubber parts that tear after two months easy use

I don't like clear case they get yellow. I heard that only ringke clear case doesn't turn yellow. I am not sure tho.

I think they offer goo protection but are super slippery. Their clear cases are good but go yellow and I actually like the feel of the Defender and it worked with Dome Glass

And not one mention of heat retention. I had to return my otter box case cause it overheats the note.

Just wondering if the flip case is a nuisance when you want to take a picture?
For the most part it is, especially if you are trying to take a selfie with one hand it keeps flapping in front of the camera. But when snapping photos of others I let it has down and grab onto it and the phone which I think keeps it a bit more stable.

Do not get one with magnets... it fucks up your screen. noticed it with the s-pen
I bought 3 cases for my Note 9 when I first got it. Two of them open so that the phone can stand up on a flat surface like on my desk. I discovered that they had a magnet built into the back part to help hold the case shut during normal use. The S-Pen could not draw in the area where the magnets were hidden in the back side of the phone. Good news is, I was able to use a razor knife and remove the magnet from each case. Problem solved!
One these companys needs to make a case with a fake or dummy bixby button.
Any that don't make the note feel like and weigh as much as a brick???
Check out the Spigen Tough Armor case...best combination of giving good protection, but not too bulky.

I've never used any of the ESR cases. The only cases I've really ever used have been Spigen, Tech21 and Otterbox. The Otterbox and Tech21 cases are good, but they're pretty expensive. I really haven't seen a better price/performance value than the Spigen cases. Plus I really like their design/look.
I have a Samsung flip case of the sort you didnt have, for the Note 9. When I got it, that was all there was and it worked great with the phone. I didnt have to open the case to do anything with it but I wanted a screen protector and all they had was glass. Now the Note 9 flip case doesnt completely sit down though over days it seems to get lower and it doesnt work at all with touch though the always on display works as it should in case you want to see what the time is, at night. So, why get a screen protector with a flip case? On my previous phone, a Note 4, I had bought a few plastic films to use and lucky I did. I dropped the phone and it hit the edge of a portable radio right on the glass. I picked it up and was horrified to see what looked like a sizeable crack but it turned out to be a rip in the plastic so off with that and on with another and all was OK. I believe a screen protector not only protects against the oil from your skin but any dust or as happened once with me, white powdery stuff off a scone in a coffee shop fell onto it. If you are going to get the Samsung flip case, dont get the glass, get the plastic and if you want the glass, get another case other than the flip case.
those cases that has too much grip on it will give you a hard time taking your phone out of your pocket

Great protection.... but so juvenile or construction-worker-looking. Better for most adults is their Plyo line for great protection AND decent looks. I have never owned one, but they seem to offer among the best front screen lips... most other brands, not quite enough.
All this money for a pretty phone and thinness for years and years and we still need, niw more than ever, a fat damn case that covers the color and makes it even bigger. The Note 9 rear glass is a cheap fix. The front glass is a different story. I used a screen protector and now I use a magnetic clear case with a black frame. It's quite annoying. Get a separate camera and fingerprint case as well. Cheap ones have just one hole. (pun intended)

normal screen protector but made custom for to be compatible whit the case
Among best, but juvenile/construction worker... for most adults, their Plyo line is better overall.
The Monarch doesn't have the same grip as years past. I drop my Note 9 about once a week due to the Monarch being slippery. Never had this issue in the past...which is why I'm watching this video.

I find it very suspicious that you didn’t even show the grip test on the Speck case that’s known for supposedly having grip. I think it failed the test and because it was sponsored, you covered it up with “footage note found” care to explain what that even means? Thumbs down.
