    Hi. Thank you. Awesome. Pleasant personality you have. If I use these products on a flexible foam ...will it still be just as flexible once cured...are these products child safe?

    • @PropMonkeyStudio
      @PropMonkeyStudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and yes. It stays flexible and it's non toxic. I would let a child chew on it though.

    Thank you for the Video, I just watched your contact cement wash video so I had a question about how the Rapid Fill and Fine Finish work with your Contact cement wash? For instance, would you first use Rapid fill, then Fine Finish and finally the Contact Cement wash for Paint priming purposes, or is that process overkill. I do not know how your Fine Finish or Rapid Fill products work with your Purple Tape test!

    • @PropMonkeyStudio
      @PropMonkeyStudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question: Use the cc wash before the Rapid Fill and Fine Finish. It will help the products bond better to the foam.

    Thanks for the video! Would you possibly be open to doing a video with that first experimental finish? The one before the stucco-looking one. It would paint up super nicely for a textured leather finish.

    Nice.. I sanded my Mando helmet. However I got a suede finish to my Eva foam. How do I knock down suede look?

    • @PropMonkeyStudio
      @PropMonkeyStudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      You might be over sanding or using too coarse of sandpaper. The safest way to get rid of the suede look is to brush on more FF to the area needed and use a 320-400 grit sandpaper to sand it out. If that doesn't work there are more drastic measures you can take by using an open flame torch to burn back the fuzzy texture. I hope that helps.

    Can you paint directly onto fine finish?

    • @PropMonkeyStudio

      Yes, I paint right on top of FF with either spray or paint brush.

    This stuff is awesome. I've been planning on experimenting with it, but just how flexible is it? Can it withstand bending in on itself, concave bends? If I were to use it for a helmet, would it survive a fall?

    • @PropMonkeyStudio
      @PropMonkeyStudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fine Finish is flexible, but not as flexible as spray rubber. The trade-off is that it's sandable & wet sandable (greater control). If it gets crushed or dinged it will leave wrinkles, but you can heat it to regain the surface quality again. I hope this helps

    Looks like a great product....Pity that current availability makes it impossible for people like myself to buy.

      @@PropMonkeyStudio Australia. TNT Cosplay already clarified that the manufacturer has no interest or intention to ship overseas. Australia has a large cosplay community, Especially with yearly events like EB Expo, Pax, Supanova, and Oz Comic Con just to name a few
      Restricting business so a single store who refuses to ship seems like a really bad idea business-wise.
      Would you know of a similar product that people like myself can get a hold of that works as good?

    • @PropMonkeyStudio
      @PropMonkeyStudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MJAussie360 TNT Cosplay Supplies doesn't do any shipping outside the US, but as the manufacturer of these products I don't have that rule. I only sale wholesale to retail outlets, so if a reseller in Australia is willing to go through the process of importing my products (Rapid Fill, Fine Finish, or Prime) then that would be great.

      With responses like these from your retail vendor, I'm not honestly surprised that other vendors haven't reached out about stocking it.
      I mean I would've recommended places I deal with to stock it if I'd have had a point to jump from.
      I do hope you guys get it sorted out, it really does look like an interesting product that would be beneficial for distribution in more places around the world

    If I were to color-paint after applying just one coat of Fine Finish, but I end up not liking it, would I be able to still take the three-coat route?

    • @PropMonkeyStudio
      @PropMonkeyStudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you paint with acrylic paints then there shouldn't be any problems. It does stick to most things well, but testing first is always a good practice.

      For the Rapid Fill 220 grit might be the best. For the Fine Finish 220-800 grit depending on how fine a surface you want. With regular sandpaper you'll need to be careful not to nick the surface with the corner of the sandpaper, so I've been using flexible sanding sponges and 3M flexible sandpaper.
      I hope this helps :-)

    • @PropMonkeyStudio
      @PropMonkeyStudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Sal_Sal27 Yes, for dry sanding 320 grit is all you'll need. If you wet sand then 400-800 grit wet sanding paper is what you'll want.

    So no need to seal the foam before using the fine finish?

    • @PropMonkeyStudio
      @PropMonkeyStudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no need to heat seal the EVA foam when using the Rapid Fill or Fine Finish. The Rapid Fill is more effective at getting rid of the pores and slight grooves, and the Fine Finish can go on top of Rapid Fill for an even smoother surface.
