I had a dream the other night that we won the league with a record 108 points. Played 46, won 33, drew 9, lost 4. That would be insane as Reading hold the record with 106 points from a 46 game season

One of my old school pals currently plays for Cambridge - can’t wait to travel there and see him and the blues play and of course the promotion party afterwards 🎉

Don't forget guys take the fixtures with a grain of salt especially the later ones as many will be rescheduled due to weather, cup matches and TV as you mentioned. Get ready for the best part... Oct and November cup games and going to Yeovil town or Torquay or Maidstone etc and taking over the grounds!!!

Re: Stockport County and Wrexham, suggest you take a look at the respective finishing positions of the two teams over the past three seasons before adversely comparing County’s progress to that of Wrexham.

Thank you for your comment. I can see why you would be in favour of Blues playing Wrexham in the States but you can be forgiven as you actually live there!
Definitely need some more signings which I think is proving more challenging trying to convince players to come to league one. I do however expect to see new arrivals over the next few weeks and months as we have a lot of positions to fill. KRO and kind regards (Gary)

I’m not fully sure but the lack of Nov fixtures could be to do with L1 and L2 earlier entry into the FA Cup aswell as the RO32 in the EFL Trophy

It would be great if all kick's were Saturday 3pm unfortunately those days have long gone. Friday games are the worse but on the plus side we won't be moved to Friday 8pm kick off on the opening weekend, that honor has gone to Barnsley. Your show is fast becoming my daily lunch time listen, nice one guy's keep it up and keep it real.

I completely agree with you, if I had my way all kick offs would be 3pm on a Saturday just how I used to remember it. The reality of TV and media interest makes that impossible nowadays which is a shame but just the way the game had gone. KRO and kind regards (Gary)

It is a very different fixture list compared to what we have been used to but unfortunately that is the reality of relegation to League One and the position the players put us in. Hi both, it is gonna,be a very interesting season for sure....is it wrong to say itll more interesting than the same old opponents such as Cardiff, Hull, Boro......, basically all the sides we allays lose to, lol!? Think you're not going to be short on content this season! Burton on Boxing Day will be a test - always struggle against them.Time to start turning these sides over! Best wishes. Rob C.

January looks tough and we have a terrible record overall against Cambridge for a last day title decider possibly! I don't think we've played Lincoln in the league since about 1955, so that's one I was looking out for, as well as Northampton, Exeter and Crawley, all interesting teams to play after so many years of facing the usual suspects. The main challengers will be Bolton, Wrexham and Huddersfield, with outsiders Peterborough, Rotherham and Charlton. I'm not 100% confident of making it back first time, but we'll be thereabouts at the finish. Can't wait. And another great video as ever boys!

There are some very interesting fixtures this season and ones that we haven’t encountered for many years as you point out. It all adds to the intrigue in what will be an interesting and tough season in League One I’m sure! KRO and kind regards (Gary)

The fixtures in November reflect that as a League One club, we will be in the FA Cup from round one instead of entering the competition in round three.
Round one is played the first week of November, and hopefully, we progress into round two, which is played on the last weekend of the month.
I can book my summer holiday now tha the opening day fixture has been announced 😁
So pleased to be at home on Boxing Day to hopefully help to banish once and for all (hopefully) the awful memories of last year's Boxing Day performance and result!

Someone else pointed out that the limited league fixtures in November are a result of the early rounds of the FA cup. Of course we forget about that after the luxury of entering in round 3 for so many years!

@SmallHeathAllianceFC The international week suggestion made me laugh as it did the both of you, although, i think that there has been clubs in League One that have had no fixtures during the international break, but I could be wrong!
I'm hoping to be able to get to at least one away game, but I doubt I will be fortunate enough as getting an away day ticket was hard enough in the Championship let alone League One so I will just have to make the most of hopefully many an amazing home fixture day 😁
Everything about the new season feels exciting. I can't wait to see all the changes at St Andrews and the new team who will wear the Blues shirt with pride. And of course our new man in charge and his backroom staff old and new.

@@richardpincher8936 thank you Richard. I think a club can get a game postponed in league one if a certain amount of players are called up but I don’t think it happens very often.

I remember going to Wrexham back when we was in div 3 we took that many fans they moved the Wrexham fans from there end behind the goal and gave it to blues as they only had a couple of hundred in there. We lost 3-1 they had a young ginger headed player who tore us apart can’t remember his name KRO

I can remember go there in the 1970s. They had supporters club down the one side of the ground and it was full of Blues. Cant remember the result but we had a great time on the old football special trains. KRO FEA

Birmingham city vs reading won't be an easy fixture in league One but I'm tipping 3 point for Chris Davies cause a draw won't be a bad result at home.

As mentioned before, not being a season ticket holder, there will be no chance of away ticket. Lincoln was one i would have liked to go to.

Last time l went to Orient away it was when Barry was manager in the AWS it was an open end, it rained ,the loos were a Portakabin & it's a horrible journey & a horrible place but at least we won the match, I'd rather go to places like Exeter/Lincoln 😊

Thank you for your comment. Season tickets are selling well and if Blues get off to a good start we will get big crowds at St. Andrew’s so the atmosphere will be fantastic.
The first game against Reading will have a big attendance probably sold out so that will make it really intimidating for away teams. Every home game we sold out last season we won! KRO and kind regards (Gary)

November early FA Cup rounds

Away fans with any sense WONT go to St Andrews.....Birmingham city fans have a reputation for savagery and brutality. One ground i as a genuine football fan will NEVER go to.
Thank you for your comment. That it the problem with reputation, it rarely matches the reality. The Blues fans will make the place hostile which is what all fans in all grounds around the country try to do.
The reality however is that St. Andrew’s is a fantastic stadium to visit with great fans and good banter between the home and away fans. By not visiting you are missing sitting very unique, however it is your choice and your loss.
