    Thank you so much Keith for your instructions on putting window screens back in.
    I was having a hard time, knowing that there is a method, just couldn't figure out which way to insert the screen first.

    Hey Keith, I like ur videos and I know I'm a little late but sometimes we don't even take the screen out of those windows. I'd say 99% of the time those windows will fold inside and you just clean the screen on the outside then go in and fold the window in and clean inside of screen and do the window on the out or 2 sides. Sometimes a lot easier then taking it off.

    Glad I'm not the only who's been through this!!! I've too spent as much time fiddling with screens and window cleaning since starting up. Found some will only come out from the outside and others that will only come off from the inside of the house. Not to mention the ones that crumble apart as soon as you handle them. Would be nice if they were standardised, but that would make life just too easy wouldn't it.

    My screen has no pressure clips or springs. Your hint that corners go in a certain order was key!

    Keith, you just saved my marriage, because I would have surely killed my husband (LOL) if he broke our screen in frustration. After watching your video, it took us a total of 22 seconds to get the screen in and it worked like a charm. Thanks again.

    I am trying to do this from the inside of the house for a second story window. Only one screen (not 2 screens like this) and am doing the same method but cannot get it back in.

    • @JTBCOOL1
      @JTBCOOL1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried doing it with other windows to see if I am doing something wrong but nope, I am doing it correctly. The problem I think is the extreme cold and extreme heat has expanded and contracted the windows so much that it has narrowed the gap. The screen has been out of the window for about a year and possibly allowed the space to contract without the screen in there applying pressure.

    I don't know why they can't just make the goddamn things with pull tabs on 2 sides to easily remove and put back the screen

    So how did you remove it? I wanted to rescreen someone's window and I don't know how it comes out. Mine come out by pushing up. Maybe I'll try the side push and see. It's weird. The screen is enclosed deep in the window frame! WTH?!

  • @jennifertaylor5258

  • @vegabonzo73

    What about horizontal screens!! I've tried from the inside the outside and the frame won't fit back in!!

  • @realtruthseeker521
    @realtruthseeker521 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I also like to tear them up. Kick them a few times. Bend them into pieces and then go down and get a build your own screen kit and make one the right size that doesn’t require the perfect pressure, perfect placement and perfect patience all at the same time. It’s ridiculous how screens are made to not fit.

  • @carlatate9351

    Can you put in in from the inside too?

    I keep trying to find a video on how to put an OLD screen (without springs) back in my window.
    I’m a young woman that lives alone and I need it back in…. someone bent it outward, in the middle of one side, so I repaired it and want it back in.
    Mine is a single-pane, old old OLD, window so I can’t force anything (out of fear that I’ll shatter the paper-thin window. And my landlord isn’t a forgiving person. Eeek.)
    Anyway! It has three different “ledges” in the window and I don’t know if I should force it in one, and if so which one.
    Haha sorry for my life TMI story lol.
    But I’m stuck.

    I've been window cleaning for the past 15years...and yesterday was the 1st time I thought about folding the $&#%ing screen over my knee in front of the customer and saying F It! You do it!! I couldn't though...cause she was 80.....lol The screen was so damn tight, and it was in a condo, that conveniently was on the top floor....which is a 35 ft ladder climb if it has to be put back in from the outside! Finally get it almost all he way in...from the inside...one more corner to go....and.....pop! Screen back in?? Nope! The black tab to pull screen in place from the inside broke!! So now no way to pull it back in place! Have to either replace the tab or do the climb. I chose the climb was the easiest final fix before this one screen put me in the nut house!! Learned a lesson though...my new disclaimer..."all screens must be removed before we arrive... or it's not coming out! At least 25 minutes this one screen ate of my total time!!!
