Awesome 🤣 At the current rate of exposure with the touring, an album drop, interviews- we may not be too far off from that scenario being more than just tongue in cheek.
What she said at the beginning in "Breathe" was that she had said that she would never sing that song live because it is a very personal song, but that seeing all those people, almost eight thousand people who came to see them, she wanted to sing it to them. In the studio version the final note is held for five beats, then lowered half a tone for a beat and a half, but here her heart couldn't take it anymore... and neither mine. Without a doubt one of the best performances I have ever seen. Great Pau 😢💔🥀
I'll always be the most impressed with Alejandra, going from that tiny tyke in gel shoes playing that 3/4 size Mustang bass, to this towering princess of swagger.
Jesse, that was one of the most emotional live music experiences I have ever had. She said she would never perform that live. A few of us heard it through the doors during soundcheck and thought, nah, no way. Then we caught a glimpse of the set list taped at the sound bard that said "BLACK HOLES/B" and could not believe it. This was after Black Holes and before Enter Sandman so the strings stayed on stage during this song. We were all in tears as we sang her out to the end. I still struggle to watch these reaction videos. Yeah, you went on a real rollercoaster today for sure.
🤘⚡🤘🔪🔪🔪😭😭😭 The auto translate cc actually work for the Spanish on this one. Cliff notes, she said, that she is still half sick her voice isn't all there and she never wanted to do this song live because it's very personal to her. But she wanted to do it for all the 8k fans there. When she started singing she told the the crowd to let her sing to them.
Paraphrase… she said she was never going to perform this song live. But when 8000 people showed up to see them, she had to. I’m a little sick and my voice isn’t great but I’m going to give it a try. Then when the audience started singing she said please let me sing this.
Pepsi Center has probably surpassed Teatro as the quintessential concert. Prior to Teatro, it was most likely Lunario for many fans. It is seemingly difficult for Dany, Pau and Ale to one up this show, but as the history is evident, when they perform Keep Me Fed in Mexico next year, that's the one I would wager on.
I'm an American so I only speak one language (lame, I know) but the translations that stood out to me on "Breathe" were at the beginning she says "there are 8,000 of you here who love us," and at the end she says "thank you, I love you." That's TWA in a nutshell I think. They love. So we also love.
"To see them succeed and see them grow" Amen brother. I've listened to this performance of "Breathe" at least a dozen times. I tear up every time, and, strangely, I feel some sense of pride. In the Pepsi Center, the crowd of 8000 Mexican fans were singing almost as loud as Pau, throughout the whole song....well, the whole concert, really. My friend MartinTW commented afterwards that these ladies inspired their fan base of native Spanish speakers to learn the English lyrics to their whole catalog. That's pretty incredible. But it was incredible to see how there were 8,000 people there to see them, that love them, she decided to do it despite that she was very sick and her voice wasn´t super well, but she wanted to sing that song for them.´
And when the crowd started singing along loudly, I think she said something like: no, I am gonna have to sing it right. In the end she says I love you very much

Love the extended ending for D2D. I've been wondering if that's something they picked up from Halestorm when they tours together. Lzzy and the boys will often perform extended versions of songs in their live show, as you will see next month.
I absolutely love this. Pau was amazing in these tracks, I love the way she sings even with flu and her drumming is completely amazing. Dani and Pau harmonising together was just amazing. The guitar feels so much bigger too and Ale’s base was great. The way the crowd were singing back was so cool. Total fire. 🔥 Breathe is one of my favourites. The way Pau sings it just melts me. The power and yet delicacy in her voice. The crowd were absolutely loving it and the way the crowd reacted was magical. No wonder she began to cry at the end.
I want to throw some props to the videography. The scenes of Dani and Ale being filmed from Dani's left or the shots from behind the two of them when they are on the front stage extension are beyond epic! The video is so rich, the crowd is going insane, the angle is perfect, feels like Plant and Page..
They are such absolute rockstars. People have criticized Dany's literal *face* and Pau's stick movement. And probably something about the Goddess of Thunder too. But... That's why we love them. They give so much.

A triple this time, nice! I'm more a fan of Dany's vocals and have always loved Pau's drumming, but her performance of "Breathe", especially in the official release shows the side of Pau we saw when she essentially soloed "Escape the Mind" in front of her schoolmates at Liceo. The vulnerable Pau. "Black Holes" at Dakota Bar is another example, but not quite to this level. She performs well in everything we have had access to, I just feel there are certain key moments over their career that really standout more to me.
Dany has the more dynamic voice of the three. Her range, belts, bends and growls are at least a level above the other two. Pau has the best emotive voice, though. She'll rip your heart out and leave you begging for more. Ale's voice is more sultry. I'd love to hear a song made just for her (pipe dream, I know, but one can hope).
@@jaredrichardson3284 Ale has the tone of a jazz lounge singer and she and her sisters could certainly compose fitting music if one day Ale suddenly says, "I'm ready." I wasn't knocking on how Pau performs, so I hope it didn't come off that way. As said, to me, there are certain songs, at certain times, that have been captured on video which are glaring examples of how you said. She is the type A personality of the group, including Luis, Monica and Rudy (though she may get it from dad). It would be odd for Ale or even Dany, to yell at the crowd, but we welcome it from Pau. I think I just vibe more with Dany being the eldest of three brothers myself, though my daughter is nearly exactly two months older than Pau (3 Dec 01). In no way does that means I discount the vocal or instrumental talents of Pau and Ale. They exist as a trio because of their talent. As Ale said in "Mayday in the Making", they are sisters, but being bandmates in The Warning is separate (severely paraphrased).
Yeah, if Pau doesn't get you with Breathe, nothing will. What a beautiful performance. This entire concert so far is pure fire. Imagine how cool it would be to see them run through QOTMS today? She had more than a little cold. She was so sick they were going to cancel, but then she went to the hospital and actually got some killer meds so she could perform. Dany and Ale were both just getting over the flu as well. None of them were at 100%, but you would never know it.
This was played between Black Holes and Enter Sandman, both of which had the string accompaniment. I don't think Breathe was on the set list and may have been an on the spot decision for Pau to perform it that night so the orchestra just had to sit quietly for this performance.
Pau performed Black Holes before Breathe. When you do BH re-do Breathe and turn on the captions and translate to English, but no interrupting! I want to see the flood of tears! This song is a tribute to a childhood friend who took her own life and is written from her perspective, not Pau's.
That story about a "friend" has been described as fan lore. It has also been attributed to black holes. I've never read or heard any of them telling that story. Someone did comment that pau said it was an anxiety attack set to music. Dont know about that story either but then i am not a patreon member and it could have come from there.
@@glenmartinez5158 She did say that, but the song is way too personal for her for it to be just a panic attack set to music. I doubt we'll ever get the full story from her, though.
I am amazed at drummers anyway. They have four limbs all doing different things and then Pau sings with that bad*** voice of hers just smooth as silk. Why was she named Drummeo rock drummer of the year?.........DUH On stage, pure rock stars. Unfortunately the CC is not real accurate, but its close enough. She says she is really sick and her voice isnt very well. When she paused on Breathe at the beginning, she said, "no, I need to sing it".
It's not that Dany looked tired ... remember that the 3 were infected with the influenza virus and Ale and Dany were recovering ... while Paulina was still sick ... Maybe this makes this concert so ... amazing ... despite the virus they gave a concert that surpasses the others ... when they were between 60 and 90% of their physical capacity ... acting at more than 6,000 feet high and with the respiratory system affected: singing… running, playing… !! Incredible!! And regarding the sound, Dany explained in his videos that his pedalboard could double or triple the sound ... that's why you can hear such a full guitar sound
might should have turned on CC and switched to auto-translate for Span->Eng to better understand what Pau was saying at the beginning of *Breathe* but this is still awesome as always... TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
I don't think there is any other band who let you see how true they are on stage. See Pau smiling at the drums on HYCAD video or opening her heart on Breathe, Dany going places on her mind while singing and rocking hard from her heart, or Ale being serene while punching us with her thunderous bass lines. None of that reflects an entitled person on stage or comes from a show-off douchbag diva wannabe. The Warning's music comes straight from their soul.
I understand this was an impromptu performance of "Breathe." Too bad. They could have worked up a string section accompaniment. Now that would have really been powerful.
No entiendo si lo novedoso de unir D2D con DK es precisamente la transición entre ambas, los «reactores» pausan justo ahí para comentar lo obvio… ¡y se la pierden!

⚡️🔥🤘
I am amazed at drummers anyway. They have four limbs all doing different things and then Pau sings with that bad*** voice of hers just smooth as silk.
Why was she named Drummeo rock drummer of the year?.........DUH
On stage, pure rock stars.
I did a break down of that video!
I knew you wouldn't make it all the way through . . . 😁
🥹⚠️❣️⚡️❤️🔥
Jesse bring tissues.😢
might should have turned on CC and switched to auto-translate for Span->Eng to better understand what Pau was saying at the beginning of *Breathe* but this is still awesome as always...
The upload of Breathe from this concert is gone from The Warning's page. Someone just commented on it and I went to check it and it is gone.
It is back on their page.
FYI…if you go into the options cog, not CC, then captions, there is an option for “auto translate “ and you can select English.
FIRST! about time, hows it going fella. So jealous I cant get to the Evanescence event :(
I understand this was an impromptu performance of "Breathe." Too bad. They could have worked up a string section accompaniment. Now that would have really been powerful.
Black Holes?
Right this too!! I saw it between videos 😂😂
Black holes and Breathe together.
No entiendo si lo novedoso de unir D2D con DK es precisamente la transición entre ambas, los «reactores» pausan justo ahí para comentar lo obvio… ¡y se la pierden!
As always, all 3 performances were awesome, and your analysis and reaction were perfect. Also, here is a video about The Warning's impact on other bands, including FTF.

I can’t stand seeing Pau hurt.
This video of this whole concert dropped yesterday. Have you listened? Straight through is better than the sum of the individual tracks. I'm waiting. (You've been Warned)
Hey Jesse! I’ve been enjoying your Larkin Poe reactions - new music out this week!! Check it out: th-cam.com/video/4fiwE2UB4SU/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
You’ve mentioned before how you like that little snarl that Rebecca gets when she’s delivering a juicy lyric - well it is back, up-close & personal!! You’re gonna love this, and you’ll be humming it for days afterward!! Just remember: one of the nastiest things a southern woman can say to you is “I’m going to pray for you.” 😉🎸🔥💝🤘😎🤘
I'm not sure that song was planned. There was nothing written for strings. She might have surprised everyone.
