You could see the big smiles on some of the ladies with the strings. This must have been the coolest experience ever, doing Metallica with The Warning!
Exactly right! The first time I saw this, when the lights came up as they walk out with the strings playing I literally lost it😭. That was my exact thought: “they’ve made it”, “they’ve arrived”, “world-class”🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Would have loved to have been there with you. My wife broke her ankle a few weeks ago, so I had to skip. I will see them as a headliner at some point the next time them come around to our area, but did catch them at Blossom 2022 when they played with Lilith Czar, The Pretty Reckless and Halestorm.
@@steveherman6909 I hope your wife is healing quickly. There weren't very many places to sit, either (with general admission), which would've been horrible with a broken ankle... All the best.
@@johnnymiller3684 She's doing well enough, just needs to trust herself a little more on her crutches. Cast comes off 16 Oct. I spent the better part of 2011 on crutches myself. Tore up my right knee, then about a month after I was cleared to go back to work, my left meniscus tore after walking my daughter to school. Crazy year.
What is different and great with The Warning is that their music is so tight, profound and solid, that they don't need solos to excite their fans. We all know Dani can shred on guitar. Pau can slam the drums as good as anyone and Ale's bass is so pronounced that it is the pulse and heartbeat of their music.
And… in this case … Enter Sandman exist not for the solo… but for the riff … The riff is what lives in people's minds And the riff of this cover It's out of the question
They keep evolving in prowess, style, "rockstarness"... they're amazing (always been tho). PS: tissues are not going to be enough for "Black Holes"+"Breathe" combo, keep a towel close. Don't worry... we'll be crying with you ;-) PS2: enable subtitles in Breathe so you can better understand her intro...
Yeah, I know what your saying about Dany's overtones they are really present in Narcisista. She only doing backing but they are my favorite part of the song. That and the solo and how the Teatro show she goes prancing away while still playing the solo. Makes me smile. Notice how fast and smooth she switches back to the pick in this? Probably not the most impressive part but the way she did it was clearly all muscle memory.
Nice Reaction! What Dany did for the extra musicians when this song was over was awesome too! This was their last song with The Warning and so they were leaving the stage and Dany brought them back so they could take a bow and the crowd could show their appreciation for their performance! Nice moment.
I just can't say it enough ... Their songwriting, musicianship, professionalism, talents, passion, charisma, and their extraordinary sibling dynamic, all blend their magic to make these young women a phenomenon that's going to rock the planet. Their cover of 'Enter Sandman' may be the best cover of an epic rock song, ever!! Heed 'The Warning'!! "The Best Hard Rock Power Trio of the 21st Century."🦉🤟⚡🍩👍⚠⚡💥
This was so cool, they´re amazing" I'm hoping they consider bring strings/orchestra for the 10th anniversary of the QOTMS... can you imagine it? that would be awesome AF
S&M is 100% where i really fell in love with metal above all other genres when I was like 11-12. I grew up listening to to all kinds of music. My dad had an 8' book shelf full of cassette tapes when I was little and loved it all, and picked up my first instrument (clarinet) at 8-9. S&M brought the worlds of metal and classical together and that was it.
We watched it live with strong dad, I was hoping there was gonna be quality videos of the concert, and that this one, like many other ones, were gonna kick xss. My expectations are being warning quality met👍💥🎸💯😃🥁⚡⚡⚡🎹☄️🌌♾️🤘🤘🤘🌪️🌪️🌪️🌎🌍🌏🌍☀️🇨🇦🇲🇽⚠️⚠️⚠️
The orchestra is from a music school in Monterey, Mexico. The girls did not practice with the orchestra, so the 2 performances was the first time. What an experience to be there. 8,000 Warning Fans ⚠️ ⚡🤘
The strings arrangement at the end was really interesting. Not keeping the same notes as the main rift but a very cool contrasting support. Chills is right, every time I listen to this again.
Yeah The Warning is dropping Pepsi Center songs like they are in a hurry!!! Cool for us though! Let's remember it was their X anniversary so they did their best to produce the most epic concert to that date. And they sure did it!! Let's see what comes next!
this Pepsi Center performance was the 3rd of the three 10th Anniversary concerts... they played the same performance in Guadalajara (Oct 21, 2023, Teatro Diana - 2500+), Monterrey (Oct 25, 2023, Pabellon M - 4500+), and Mexico City (Oct 28, 2023, Pepsi Center - 8000+)... all three performances had the same set list (with a notable difference or two), same costumes, same stage design and light show (or as close as possible for the venue)... they premiered *S!ck* and *Hell You Call A Dream* in Guadalajara and they had the 10-piece string sections with them at all three... the lighting was done by the same guy that does Halestorm's lighting... he had some free time that matched DPA/TW's schedule so they made things happen... somewhere is a BTS showing them working on the lighting programming and controls at the office before doing it all actually setup... very cool stuff... i saw all three performances via live fan cam streams and they were ... i mean, "WOW!" doesn't even begin to describe it... i remember the surprise when the string section appeared out of nowhere for *Black Holes* and *Enter Sandman* ... and the double surprise with *S!ck* and *HYCAD* premiering was indescribable 🤯🤯🤯 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Metallica needs to not play this anymore. It's theirs now. Like getting your lunch money stolen by a bully. But the bully in this case are three sweet sisters.
10 years as a band. and only 19,22,24. for me Teatro was the gold standard. then they did this Pepsi Center, then Wacken, then Poland Fest, each one better than the last🤯🤯🤯🤯
Almost like having a live backing track. Yes, that statement is an oxymoron, but with the strings it fills in where we would normally have a layer or two more of Dany. Or as you have described in the past, Jesse, a slight channel delay that her Kemper would send out. Also curious to know if there was a soundcheck with a few members of the string section or if they just winged it on the board.
Rumor has it that Metallica did a cover of this one, great choice IMO. For this one the orchestra was a nice addition, it made the song come to life even more. 😆
Metallica created a masterpiece of a song that will transcend through different cultures and generations. There shouldn't be another band that can play this song and make it their own too. That was until... The Warning. They came. They rocked. They conquered
idk who likes the ramp visits more, me or dany, but boy wouldnt it be nice to be standing there and see the girls coming your way from both sides down the ramp, i can only imagine what the warning stages will be like in the future once they have 8 tractor trailers of stage gear to carry around, sure pau will have a snake pit built in
Thanks Jesse, this one here is a monumental version of Enter Sandman by the Ladies. This has replaced the original for me. Hope to see you get to "Black Holes" and "Breathe" (released before this one). Those 2 songs are like you have never seen before from this EPIC concert. Tears will be the norm. Cheers.
WOW!!!!! What an incredible cover!!!! Is that the guitar Lzzy Hale gave her? Also if you enjoy rock bands with orchestra’s check out Alter Bridge live at the Royal Albert Hall with the Parallax Orchestra!!!
Never been a fan of orchestral arrangements tbh (if it ain’t broken don’t try fixing it), but if I have to pick one as my favorite, it would definitely be this one. Their teatro metropolitan version is still my favorite though.
This, not surprisingly, takes a very different approach from Metallica's with the SFSO. That (at least this song) was all bombast; this is a more subtle chamber approach.
Amazing considering they did not rehearse this. I actually prefer this without the strings etc, but still stirring stuff. I think Dany was perhaps a bit anxious about this?
Vocally, the Teatro Metropolitan show is better (here Dany is a bit pitchy at the start and has less attitude). The strings, however, are an amazing addition to the song.

Dany does fingerpick in the Teatro Metropolitan performance also.
The outro strings are unreal.
It looks like Dany's jaw position allows her to develop that dark sound you were referring to with Pau's upper harmony.
