I used to shop at Welcome Stitchery all the time when we lived in Crystal Lake, IL. I miss the shop and the town. Yet, Welcome Stitchery seems to be in good hands!
A friend of mine told me to check out your floss tube and I did! What a “stitch” you two are. I for sure will be back. I must tell you, you both do some beautiful stitching. I love that you talk about using different threads and fabrics and I love learning more about the affects of using one over two as opposed to using 2 over 2. I’m a stitcher that has retuned to this art after a 30 year hiatus and boy have things changed. The biggest change is how technology has brought stitchers together, to share and teach each other. What a wonderful experience it has been. I will be returning for sure, thank you.
I wish that I was close enough to pop up to shop and do the 24 hours weekends. I am sure that I would get nothing done. Just talking and laughing. asee you soon.😉

Stitch the white first. White on whit is hard to see, I usually us bright white floss and an ivory or other light fabric. I am working on one similar for Christmas. Because the white is on color blocks, I do the white first so it stays pure and I don’t get the color mixed in.

When you stitch in hand, do you use the sewing method? I am trying to use this method and am perplexed.
Yes! Some people even use the sewing method when they are using a hoop or Q-snap. For the life of me, I can't figure that out!
