I was so happy to see you post again ladies! Your finish Shelley was gorg and Justine your stitch teams were too . Location , nice change though I could hardly see Shelley and I would have liked to see 🐶. Wip parades are good to do in that you have to put your hands literally on them. That way you found 4 kits and revisit ones you really Love it, love it love it 😅 like your Dancer, Iris got one Love, Forever Love the col., Noel LLL. I've forgotten which one your stitching on tonight...Shelley will remind you lol . She's great at keeping you organized. Be careful out on the roads please.

I LOVED my Mrs Beasley doll! My mom sold it as she didn’t think I would want it when I was older. I also loved the show Family Affair with Buffy, Jody, and Mr. French. Buffy had a Mrs Breasley.

Justine! When you said you had a Mrs. Beasley, I shouted out loud, "Oh my Gosh!" because I also had, and dearly loved my Mrs. Beasley. My sister gave me a new one a few years for Christmas & I actually cried when I opened her. Sadly she is taking a long nap right now in a closet because one of my granddaughters (who pronouces her 'Fs' as 'Bs') says "breaks her out." The next time I come into the shop, I'll try to show you a picture of me & my Mrs. Beasley. Another great video ladies!!!

Count them either. Shellie your Christmas at HRH is so beautiful!!! I am so happy you were able to get the bright yellow marker ink out!!!!!! I am only stitching 9 blocks too because I do not care for blocks 11 and 12. I hope to stitch block 10 some day
and make it into a stand up or a pillow. I have a thing for stockings too Justine. Stitched 20 BBD mini stitches and working on the rest. I have also knitted 13 Christmas stockings for my family, I think I like them because my birthday is 4 days before Christmas!! Love you two, happy stitching, Lynn. Regarding the repeated cocktail you ladies were drinking, I'd vote for "incredibly consistent"!😂. Shelly, your Turkey Hollow is looking great as is your Christmas at HRH! I'm so glad you were able to get the high lighter out of it! Justine, that was a great wip parade! You have some lovely pieces you're working on. I laughed when you mentioned your aunts thought that was your original Mrs. Beasley doll that you found after all these years 😂. I remember that doll, but always thought it was odd that she had the body of a baby doll, but the face of an older woman🤔. Glad you both survived Market! Be well!

Shelly, in case you don’t know, Lori Holt has a video on TH-cam showing how to make her bags using the double zippers. They are so adorable. Great video. I loved all of the finishes and WIPs along with Justine’s WIP parade. So fun and always good for a laugh. (p.s. I would take Justine up on the offer of the Snickers!!)

I've only watched Martha Washington of Rachel's videos, but I agree - so good. In fact I just got from my library the book she showed. Love history and of course stitching so a great combination. Rachel made it so interesting and enjoyable to watch.

I have dropped so many books in the tub. Don't judge. I also sleep in the tub. Some of my best naps.... Laura, the serial starter and you are kindred spirits. Once you finish your WIPS in your mind (that's all the staring into space is about) you really don't have to complete them so others can see them. In your mind, they are done because you can see them.

Good notes is a wonderful program. Then you don’t have to worry about using markers near your stitching. I highly recommend it.

I quit using markers for that reason. I either use colored pencils or I take a snapshot using IPad and just use the markup feature. You can make it larger to see the symbols. I always love a WIP parade. Okay, back to watching and stitching.
I have that Whitework book! The patterns are beautiful! Make sure you use a hoop when you stitch them though because it's next to impossible to keep the tension when you stitch whitework in hand.
I get the biggest kick out of your videos and friendship, I love your looks at the camera when Justine says something you find amusing, Shelly! I nearly spit my coffee several times! I agree with you Shelly, the Hawk Run Hollow needs the final three sections, but how about putting your name and finish date in the last block, instead of the gloomy words it has now? Also, Justine, I saw Jessica, The Sweetwater Stitcher, doing a clever WIP idea this year (she got it from someone, but I don't know who) she took 12 of her WIPs that are close to finishes, made little sticks with the chart names, then pulls a stick each month and tries to finish that project. If it's not done it goes back to the main WIP pile. Maybe that would help you get some of your lovely projects done or pushed forward? Thanks ladies!

If I counted correctly there were 52 WIP. Your Christmas Hawk Run Hollow is a amazing! I am stitching it and I am on the church block, but haven’t stitched on it for quite a while. You both need to get back to Rose Quaker. I have finished it and LOVE it.I love stitching Quaker samplers.

Hi gals, I love watching the two of you, I just finished watching all your videos. Also it’s like watching my best friend and myself. My best friend, Shelley with an e, and I have been friends since we were about 8, we are a bit older than you two. Our styles and the way we talk are pretty similar to yours except I only have one or two WIP’s, more than that drives me nuts. Planning a trip to see you early summer, can’t say spring because we won’t have one this year, we live in the Cities. Summer drink suggestions, lemon lacroix or whatever sparkling lemon water, and cucumber vodka, very refreshing and good for you because you get your fruit and vegetable. I work in a liquor store so I always have suggestions.
Yum, that drinks sounds so good!! I am crazy about grapefruit vodka, but have always wondered about the cucumber. Would love to meet you and your friend Shelley!
Picked up a bottle of cucumber vodka today so that I can give that drink a try!!

Shelly, do the next 2 blocks of the Hawk Run Christmas and chart the 12th block as a mini sampler. Put in the name of the pattern and your name along with the date completed. Fill in around the words with small motifs.
You and I think a lot alike! I was thinking the same thing, and also thought of adding the year that Kathy Barrick designed the pattern.

Just a thought for your Christmas At Hawk Run Hollow. (I don't care much for that last row either.) Maybe you could stitch a bell/bells (since the song is bells) in the last block with '1863 Henry Wadsworth Longfellow'.
The poem is by Longfellow written during the time of the Civil War. The verses bring tears to my eyes knowing why it was written. Bells to bring hope through so much death and destruction in our country. It seems almost hauntingly relevant to the difficult times we are in now, too, and could be facing.
Love the fabric you have for Reindeer Feed Sack. I haven't ever started mine because I don't care for the plaid fabric. The sparkly fabric is perfect for it. Could you tell, please, what fabric it is? Are you using the called for floss?
Justine says she started the feed sack a long time ago, before she started keeping track of her fabric and thread. She knows that it's a Picture This Plus opal of some sort. Threads are Gentle Arts Cranberry and DMC5200 (must be the called for?).
I bet you ladies had a wonderful time and we are not hearing all of the details. Also, can you explain one more time how you do that coloring on the material and what kind of material do you use? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Hi Bonnie, I stitched this on a cotton fabric, just a light piece and then this is what I did. I used Prismacolor pencils and then put Jacquard's Textile Color (100 Colorless Extender) over it. The Sew'n Sews Flosstube shows a lot of coloring on fabric along with embroidery, also: they stitch a lot of Kathy Schmitz.'s patterns. Kathy's channel is where I found out what to use for products. "To The Point With Kathy Schmitz" on Flosstube. It is soooooooo fun!!!!
