What exactly are you wondering about the instep. Also consider that TLB has about 5 different lasts and all will have a unique instep so that may be an impossible comparison. These fit me true to size where my TLB on three different lasts fit better if I size down half. I have the least experience with Enzo. I've had a pair at one time but will have to check if I still own one. I've not done a review of them. I did not know TLB offered a tapered heel option, that is cool news, thank you!
@@mbshoedoc well I was just wondering how it compares, as in higher or lower. I know TLB has a normal to slightly high instep whereas Enzo Bonafé has very high instep, but neither fit me without alterations. TLB works if I go up in width and modify instep, on Goya, and EB works with modified instep and standard width.
@@blubaless This pair has a normal instep but I don't know how many different last shapes they offer. On these I took UK 7.5 which matches up with my normal US 8.5 in brands like Allen Edmonds . For TLB and most other UK sized brands I size down to 7. I do this in Goya, Alan, Picasso and Van Gogh I size down and leave width normal. I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer and tell them about your fit in other brands and hopefully they can advise better.
What if the shoes are made by a small group of artisans just trying to do their best work. They did not choose what country and circumstances to be born into. They don't bear the burden of the bad actions of their government. The same could be said about us. You can certainly choose not to buy from China and I can respect that decision. You can also choose to respect the craftsmanship regardless of where it came from. Luckily there are a couple of great shoemakers still producing here at home that you can support. Allen Edmonds and Alden come to mind. I'm a big Allen Edmonds fan myself. On this channel I explore the work of shoemakers around the world and steer clear of anything political. 👍
