He instead violently swings his sword around (think Diluc's charge attack from Genshin Impact). (Not a fact, but my little theory) I think that Garen posesses a hidden magic affinity that directly mirrors that of his sister. While Lux can manifest magic light by herself, but has a hard time keeping it in check, Garen can't "produce" any magic whatsoever, but has an innate tallent in controlling it. I suspect that this is the reason he can subcontiously utilize the magic that his sword and armor are absorbing to create fiery auras and giant sky swords without even realizing it

If he is too a mage, his swords serves as a conduit to his power.
Garen would be the strongest demacian lorewise because he have the demacian steel and his physical is just tanky and he has a sword and can summon a giant sword from heaven to smite someone. Magic Resist and Armors, Melee and Ranged. What a perfect soldier

Almost every single Warring Kingdoms skin is based on the character designs from the Dynasty Warriors game franchise. The characters from that game are also based off of real Chinese officers like you said but the character designs are WAY too similar to the skins in game.
