The 909 really is in its own league, above the rest imho. It's difficult to create matching elements which gel with the 909's immanent power imho 😅
I agree with it being in it's own league... I however don't find it difficult to find matching elements. I think it's because it's such a strong and known sound I grew up with. So to me I know where to steer the add ons
Great explanation and examples. Are you using CV from the 909 to the DFAM? How do you get it to advance and trigger the DFAM?
Actually it's simpler then you might think. The rimshot is triggering the DFAM. Muted on the 909, the out goes into the DFAM trigger in

The calculator is to calculate the delay settings? I used one for it in the 90s.

Classic comment this! The ‘calculator’ is the brain of my setup as it is the midi recorder on which everything runs. But I get you though. 60.000 divided by the bpm is how we used to calculate delay times. The outcome devided by 2 would give you the other side of a tap delay

I guess keeping track of every note and controller delay value relative to the first played event in a performance it could be called a delay calculator ! 😊 ( man this IS a very mathematical description of music)
Mad not seeing the sub37 there 😮 would you ever swap the 909 out for the 8s?
I know what you mean, the subv37 had a home for sometime in the setup, but the setup is always evolving, before the sub37 was the OP6, before that the model D, even the MPC's have taken leave. I love that this keeps things fresh at a pace where everything doesn't change so constantly though ☺
