A sense of foreboding about what's coming next because this guy just implied he doesn't care about his own life... I love it

The music speak so much story for silent hill 2. Silent Hill 2 and Final Fantasy 7 the original are two of the games that will truly make you appreciate music in video games. This game never gets old.
Imagine Nobuo Uematsu coming out of retirement to do a perfect hypothetical silent hill 5 man’s technically not contracted by square enix anymore so it’s not impossible, just highly unlikely. I've always wanted to play Silent Hill 2, sometimes I worried I wouldn't enjoy it and it took me awhile to finally play it. I started it on my PS3 and at first I was getting into it but wasn't 100% sure. As soon as this scene with Angela at the graveyard played, I was so happy. Because I knew that I definitely liked the game because the story was interesting and I was going to keep playing.
Not only the new model doesnt match, but also they miss completly the atmosphere. Here with the fog and her pale face gives an eerie and melancholic feeling. The remake one just feels like a random ubisoft npc cinematic or some shit like that
The new versions lines don't even make sense, they're supposed to be awkward and under-socialized this really is a masterclass in subtle character design

This scene in remake doesn't have the same impact as in original. This make me feel awkward, with a strange feeling. But, in remake, i don't feel the same impact.

(Spoilers done) It be more unnatural if they talked normal. Silent Hill games have suggested that everyone sees different things in the town. (Spoilers again for SH3) Hell, SH3 went as far as to make a point system where every monster you murdered would count against a bad ending. On top of the famous line "They look like monsters to you?" (spoilers done) James could look like a giant bug creature to her for all we know. We don't see things from her perspective. Finally, look at the way Angela moves her body in this scene. "Lost?" She cocks her head to the side as if she never heard the word before. Why that is, we can debate but everything about the movement of the models tells that this was not bad direction in voice acting. This was very much done on purpose and with purpose. With all this together, is it that strange that they talk different? Really?

First time encounter this scene, a lot of fans must feel cringed watching this, but after we all know what these two have been through, we realized the "awkward" voice acting from the voice actors here kinda suit for their characters, especially Angela.
I thought there was something strange about her from the beginning, the way she hugs herself and the somewhat immature and shy way she speaks, I just didn't think it would be something so heavy, I also always loved the voices of the characters in SH 2, they always seemed very realistic.
They could almost be two ghosts in a deserted graveyard bound to wander for eternity due to their graves being there James longs to leave and be with his wife again who in this version is alive but he can't Angela too longs for her family who are all still in the land of the living A very sad and l9nely existence

I don't know if it's because of Angela's "wounded" voice, her reaction when she meets James or the background music but this scene was cute tbh, remembering the context of the game makes it sad :(

First time encounter this scene, a lot of fans must feel cringed watching this, but after we all know what these two have been through, we realized the "awkward" voice acting from the voice actors here kinda suit for their characters, especially Angela.
I thought there was something strange about her from the beginning, the way she hugs herself and the somewhat immature and shy way she speaks, I just didn't think it would be something so heavy, I also always loved the voices of the characters in SH 2, they always seemed very realistic.

So eddie and angela never really existed they were only there to display james emotions and what he feels so this entire time he was talking to Thin air maria was just a mary he made up in his mind

The game is designed to have multiple perspectives, so you can play the game believing that the people are real, then playing again believing they’re not. And have completely different story experience from the same game. This game is magic
